New Orleans Coffee & Beignet

Stopped in because it is closer than the Cafe Du Monde and open earlier. Glad I did.The beignets are lighter and sweeter than the ones at Du Monde. They seem to be fried at a higher temperature making a lighter, bubblier, crisper crust. They are thinner with less bite/chew.Tossed in a bag with ample powdered sugar. They feel more decadent and doughnut like. Delicious. Inside the Renaissance hotel.I'm back! Next morning. Beignets are a bit poofier this morning. Kids liked the cinnamon beignets even better than the more traditional ones. Coffee is good too!

Great little coffee counter inside the Renaissance hotel warehouse district. The person behind the counter was very nice and friendly, kept up a conversation while she was making my drink. Very friendly and very nice. I was able to get a large café latte for about five dollars, which I don't think is too bad of a price for a large coffee these days. They also have beignets here, but it was around lunchtime so I didn't get any, but I might try them tomorrow morning. It sits back in the corner, but looks out into the open space of the lobby.

Came for coffee on Thursday morning. Got there at 8:30am and it was pretty busy. This place is located inside a hotel. The line was long but it moved fast. They staff was so friendly and well organized. They were busy but still spent time to socialize with each guest. I got an iced oat latte with praline syrup. It was so good. Not too sweet and still coffee strong. They seem to have lots of food options too. Coffee was cheap too. Highly recommend.

Decadent & delightful beignets! Simply a work of art and you'll want way more than one serving

My fiance and I were staying at a nearby hotel, and we spotted signage for New Orleans Coffee & Beignet while walking around The Warehouse District. It was late when we noticed it, so I made a point of stopping by the cafe the following morning. I arrived around 7:15am on a Thursday morning. I found New Orleans Coffee & Beignet inside of The Renaissance hotel. There's a window to order from, but you can opt to sit down at the restaurant or hotel's atrium after ordering. The kitchen isn't connected to the cafe, so the one employee, who was serving coffee and taking orders, had to also run to the kitchen to receive finished orders. That being said, it did take a while for me to get my food even with just a couple of customers ahead of me. The employee was super sweet and friendly though, so it made the wait bearable. I ordered a latte, which I think was OK. I thought it had an unusual after taste, but my fiance said it was fine. We got the spinach, veggie, egg white scramble. I appreciated that it was loaded with veggies, but it was on the bland slide. Would've been nice if they gave me some hot sauce. Their traditional beignets were excellent. They were airy and not too dense nor greasy, and they had the perfect amount of powdered sugar.

This place is inside the Renaissance. There was one girl taking order and she was so fast! I never had a savory beignets before. Wasn't expecting much since it's a small hotel cafe, but oh my God!!!! It was delicious!

Tasty coffee and beignets!!! Cookie is what makes the whole experience 10X better, she was friendly and had great energy. It was very quiet and peaceful right outside in the hotel lobby.

We came here at night and realized the shop is located within the Legacy Kitchen, which is inside/next to the Renaissance Hotel. I think it's about 4 bucks for an order of 3. These are extremely large beignets and their recipe differs from Cafe Du Monde... still ok though. Glad that it was here to satisfy our beignet craving. Since we came in at around 830pm and wanted our order to-go, we ordered at the bar. It was about a 15 minute wait, but the beignets were fresh when we received them. I prefer their competitor, however, I'd come back again.

Not very good. Tasty old, dry and hard when we ate them inside the Marriott. Would not return not would I recommend to anyone. Go to Loretta's for beignets in the French Market. Fresh, moist, tasty and has filling, too!
