Mr. Bubbles Cafe

Three drinks were tasty but I imagine half sugar. Goodness gracious they were so sweet. We got the mango lemonade and the brown sugar milk tea (yes, I realize we ordered a drink with "brown sugar" in its name). We each got a roasted pork banh mi and it was excellent. The ingredients were fresh and the bread was perfect. Service was friendly and didn't take too long. The only negative was that the inside was arranged and decorated like they're going out of business. A bit sloppy. But I would go back again.

SUCH A GOOD SPOT TO STOP BY!!!! The drinks were refreshing! Tasted fresh and cooling -- much needed in a hot summer day. Had many tons to choose from and service was super friendly and knowledgeable. After walking awhile and before a full day of exploring -- this is exactly what was needed. The jelly was amazing and I enjoyed my mango jasmine green tea -- YUM.

I was brought to Mr Bubbles by one of good friends who spoke highly of the food. As soon as you walk in the door the smell of the food hits you in the face. It smelled so good!!! The employees greeted us as soon as we walked in the door, they were very friendly and helpful. I ordered the spicy curry shrimp ramen, and the chicken avocado wrap (added spicy Mayo). I enjoy spicy food and this food was perfect. The ramen I could eat everyday, it came with ramen, carrots, cabbage, curry, and shrimp. The shrimp curry ramen will from here on out be my go to. The chicken wrap was also amazing. It had grilled chicken, carrots, spicy Mayo ( added it does not originally come on it), and cucumber. This spot of definitely a must try!!

Everyone comes to Nola for Creole/Cajun/Soul food, but I mainly eat Vietnamese here. The impact of Vietnamese immigrants on the city's variety of cuisines is not to be denied. Perfect grilled shrimp bahn mi, perfect crackly French bread, just enough heat, a work of art. It's a little off the beaten path from the Quarter, but take the streetcar down a few stops and you won't be disappointed. Protip: they have an in with Dong Phuong's king cakes. See photo to order.

Nice atmosphere to sit down for lunch of freshly made bahn mi and a smoothie so I can go for it with added raw jalapeños and siracha sauce packets to add to my liking. Not spicy with out those so anyone can try it. Nice stained glass windows and hi music.

My friends and I came here for some bubble tea and were disappointed. We ordered the brown sugar milk tea and and the peach manga iced tea. They were watered down and the syrup tasted really strong and chemically. It was definitely lacking in flavor and not very sweet.

Solid option for a quick lunch downtown. Parking can be tricky along Canal, but worth stopping in. Food is fairly priced- $8.25 for banh mi w chips, boba is $6 for 24oz. BBQ pork banh mi is really flavorful and large. Jasmine milk tea with boba was also great- strong jasmine flavor and not too sweet, they don't add a ton of ice so you get a lot of tea with a good boba:tea ratio. I would re-order both again. The employees are really nice and helpful if you have any questions and have your order ready quickly. You can eat here, or they'll pack everything up for you in a to-go bag

Back in CA, I had an unhealthy obsession with the Quickly chain and was devastated to find my favorite branch has closed down. Been looking for a worthy contender in NOLA for years now and here I've finally found it! Not many places do a decent blended boba drink; they're often not sweet enough, not creamy, the ice is too coarse/crunchy, or the boba is still hard at the center. This one, however, was perfect. Nice strong flavor, sweet how I like it, and well blended. The boba was made right too. I tried the taro coconut smoothie with almond milk and boba and have no complaints at all. My only confusion was that I asked if they could do a blended thai tea and was told that they couldn't, but there are pictures of blended thai tea here on Yelp. :/ Hmmm...I'll definitely be back and I guess I'll ask about it again.

veggie wraps, bubble tea, and (during Mardi Gras) king cakes are all great. Worth it!!

Good Vietnamese food with the bubble tea.I recommend the lemongrass tofu banh mi and the apple kiwi green smoothie!
