I can confidently say these are the best beignets in New Orleans that I got to try during my visit... Beating out Cafe Du Monde and Cafe Beignet. To start, we sat down and ordered 2 orders (of 3) beignets, frozen cafe au lait, cafe au lait, and hot chocolate. After we all had a bite, we collectively decided to get another order of beignets. They come without powdered sugar for us to pour on ourselves and were super light, airy, and delicious - Described as "exactly what I imagined from Princess and The Frog."Samantha is the sweetest person working here! She was simply upbeat and had the best energy helping us at our table and checking in!Overall loved and these beignets were a great way to wrap up our trip.

So we visited Cafe du Monde for the beignet experience and it was well worth it. Neat old stall in the French Market area of the French Quarter ... loads of people, loads of powdered sugar, and hard by the Mississippi River. This experience is well worth doing ... especially if you've never done it before. But if your search is for the best beignets, Morning Call is what you want to visit. Morning Call is a shop located at the end of the Canal Street trolley ... in fact it is the turnaround for the trolley, so you can easily trolley over here. Hear tell their beignets are made with a centuries-old sourdough starter... and they were excellent. Service was great with the limited menu, and the people were very nice. So if you want a neat experience ... go to Cafe du Monde, but if you want great beignets ... find your way over to Morning Call in the midst of a number of the old-fashioned above ground cemeteries.

Perfect place for a light brunch to try all the local dishes plus have great beignets and good coffee for a reasonable price. Gumbo is always delicious, jambalaya very flavorful, and the etouffee disappeared pretty quickly. Finished up with some piping hot beignets and it was divine - God is good. Also took some advice from our server to mix a bit of hot cafe au lait with the powdered sugar in a plate, then dipped the beignets in and it was wonderful. We were able to use credit card too, which was a nice surprise. Great place in New Orleans to take the whole family, and kids are gonna love putting powdered sugar on the beignets.

Service (5/5): CASH ONLY. Older waiter was such a nice man and served us with a smile. The food came out lightening fast!Ambiance (5/5): There's tables for dining outside. We are welcomed with a huge retro store sign, which we ended up sitting at! The bar stools and mirrors were a cool touch. There was a baby birthday party next to us.Food:Crawfish Etouffee (5/5): While it was a small portion, everything about the dish was great. Thick stew that's packed with flavor and soaked into the dollop of rice in the middle. I enjoyed this slightly over my friend's gumbo.Beignets (5/5): This was a good competitor to Café du Monde. It is softer by comparison but still has a nice crunch to its exterior. We loved every bite.

Came here for a rest stop while on a haunted tour and glad they chose this place. We had some fresh beignets that were the best I've ever had. The service is quick with great attitude. Place is kept clean and is very busy. I will def return and recommend to fellow Yelpers.

Best red beans and rice, gumbo, and beignets we have had in NOLA! The place looks like a classic 50s diner - so cute. And the food the simple, delicious and cheap! Cash only and service will take a while so be patient with them. We will be back!

I've eaten a lot of beignets in my 26 years of existence and my go to in Morning Call. They have the best cafe au lait HANDS DOWN! Cost to amount ratio is not the best, but it's so good you forget about how much you paid and get another (I literally do every time...) The attendants are so friendly, attentive, and quick. It's a large, sun-lit open space, right at the hub of streetcar lines and bus rides. Tour the nearby cemeteries or head down a few blocks to city park. Beautiful shop, beautiful people. 10/10.

Stopped here for beignets on a city tour and really enoyed the food & atmosphere. Beignets were soft, delicious and covered with powdered sugar. And the cafe au lait was perfect! Also, the iced coffee here was outstanding!
