For the 2 people who have read my reviews, you'll see that I went back to the Four Seasons (my first dinner there was at Chemin a la Mer on the 5th floor). This time we hit the ground floor restaurant, Miss River. It's slightly more casual than upstairs and has a great patio with a wood fired pizza oven. Service was obviously perfect (again, Four Seasons). I didn't end up snapping a pic of all the dishes because I was with clients and they were lighting me up any time I whipped my phone out. We started with an oil drum's worth of bbq shrimp and one of the salads (can't remember which one but it doesn't matter, it's salad). The shrimp was better than at Chemin a la Mer, which means to say it was outstanding compared to just excellent. The piece de resistance (goes to New Orleans once) was the main course. The redfish was served in a stew of oysters, crawfish, shrimp, and the holy trinity (what I can only assume is the nectar of the gods). It was so good the only thing holding me back from doing cartwheels around the room were the clients sitting across from me. I got Emily's famous rice and beans as a side and was practically delirious by the time my plates were cleared. Don't sleep on the redfish if you're a seafood fan. Top 10 things I've ever consumed.Finished with some desert and called it a night. I wish Yelp would let me give this a 4.5. Chemin a la Mer has a higher rating but, gun to my head I would choose Miss River over it. Best move is to just cancel your flight and go to both.

From the moment we stepped into Miss River, we were transported to a whimsical New Orleans dream, where bold Creole flavors danced on our palates and Southern hospitality reigned supreme. The atmosphere was truly special, a perfect blend of elegance and playful charm! But what truly made our brithday celebration unforgettable was our server, Quasha.Q was an absolute delight! Her attentiveness was impeccable, anticipating our needs before we even voiced them. But it wasn't just her efficiency that impressed us; it was her vibrant personality. Q's comical anecdotes and fun-spirited banter had us laughing throughout the entire meal. She made us feel like we were dining with a dear friend, not just a server. Every recommendation was spot-on, and her passion for the restaurant and its cuisine was contagious. We also had the pleasure of meeting another server Christian, who assisted Qu, and he was just as entertaining and engaging. Their teamwork was seamless, creating a truly memorable dining experience! All the servers that dropped off food, in fact, meticulously introduced each ingredient and specialty of every dish, painting a vivid picture of the culinary artistry behind it. Definitely would come back.

Recently traveled to NOLA on a birthday trip and Miss River was one of our dinners. Sat outside since it was beautiful weather, and we basically had the entire space to ourselves. Very relaxing space. Service was very attentive, excellent food presentation and delicious as well! They gave us champagne for our birthday, which was super nice! For food, I tried the vegetarian green curry with crab added. It was SO good, but i think the rice portion could be bigger, as that was gone well before the curry was, but besides that, no complaints. It really felt like five star dining here, and would recommend it if you're in the area.

Really enjoyed Miss River. The service was phenomenal and the food was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The restaurant was on the darker side but not too bad. Everyone was very nice and the decor was tasteful. You even get to name the chicken which we thought was kinda funny. Check it out if you want a nice upscale vibe.

Our brunch at Miss River was decent, but not anything extraordinary. Live jazz, beautiful decor, and overall great food. For the price point though, it met expectations for me and did not exceed them. The flashy drinks were cool - a BYO Bloody Mary bar and an espresso martini tableside fire show. It's fun for the experience but nothing special. The food was really good - loved the shrimp and grits and the pancakes! I would skip the beignets and ham. 3.5 but rounding up because of our amazing server!

I am a big fan of James Beard Award winning Chef Alon Shaya, and I am disappointed in our experience at his Miss River Restaurant, the flagship restaurant for the New Orleans Four Seasons Hotel. It was a big miss. We had seven in our group, we were celebrating a big birthday, at an upscale restaurant I was hoping would provide excellent service and exceptional dining. In my opinion, we received neither. I found the food standard, and frankly, a very poor value. For instance, I ordered the Chicken and Biscuits ($35.00). I received a fried chicken wing, a small thigh and one biscuit. The Scrambled Egg Toast ($18.00) was one piece of toast and two eggs. The Pain Perdue ($24.00) was two pieces of Texas Toast and a half a banana. And syrup. The service was hit and miss. The Hostess was fun, friendly, welcoming, acknowledged that we were celebrating a big birthday, presented the youngest in our group a stuffed alligator, and escorted us to our table. Santa Clause was very kind to the group, and posed for pictures. Ms. France provided excellent service, was attentive, responsive, and a pleasure. Our server, Ms. Sarah, was very not present, and ended up forgetting we were celebrating a birthday. After leaving us sitting for a long while, five of the group left the table, and she finally returned with the bill, apologizing for forgetting the birthday, saying "oh, I would have brought cookies or something." We actually waited for her to bring out a to-go box of eight cookies. Yeah, Happy Big Birthday. (Other Yelp reviews mention a glass of champagne and/or beignets for the birthday girl ... while she is actually at the table. Our table was marked by a gold balloon, which the server removed, before we ordered.) The restaurant itself, neat and clean, was far more Denny's in appearance and function than you would expect for a Four Seasons. Did I mention the Overnight Oats Oatmeal was $17.00? I am going with three stars, because I knew it would be an expensive celebratory meal, and we ate the food, I just didn't know l would have been far happier going to a Waffle House. Miss River Restaurant -- Three Grudging Stars. And I will not make this mistake again!

This is a review from Summer 2023 but better late than never. Unfortunately, some of the menu items are no longer available typically steer away from hotel restaurants but both of the spots inside the Four Seasons are excellent. Because the items in the photo are no longer on the menu I won't name them but I will say they were delicious. We went to lunch after the spa for my boyfriend's birthday and it was a gorgeous day, so the space was nicely lit with natural light. I would definitely go again but he was not the biggest fan for his own reasons. He's also an impossibly picky eater. The staff was kind and attentive. Expect to get valet parking or walk a couple blocks. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

I came here for my birthday brunch and I loved it! The service was top notch and the food was great! I did a large party brunch so of course my entire party wasn't there when I arrived lol. At first, they told me and my friend we couldn't sit until our entire party arrived so we went and got drinks at the chandelier bar. However, a few minutes later we were told we could come and the bartender actually comped our drinks when he heard it was my birthday. So sweet. With the large party brunch there is an $85 pp pre fixed menu. This includes 1 cocktail, 1 appetizer and 1 entree. They were out of boudin which was a slight bummer. Most of us got the flaming espresso martini which includes a table side presentation that is fun. I got the oyster patty and the pain perdue which were both delicious. For dessert I ordered a cake but Michael also gave me beignets on the house. So so sweet! Everything was delicious and Michael was an absolute gem!
