We loved the curb appeal. The walk up is a tranquil outdoor space with plenty of seating, nicely spaced, and covered by a huge oak tree canopy. Perfect for morning coffee and pastries to gather your thoughts for the day. The delicious pastries were crafted to perfection and presented efficiently. It is such a refreshing departure from store front coffee shops.

Visiting NOLA for the week, parked and started walking immediately smelled the pastries. Located in a cute house with beautiful trees, the offerings are unique and of high quality. The africano (think dirty Chai) was to die for! The outdoor patio is great to sip coffee and enjoy the pastry. I am hoping to return while I am here, I want to try it all!

I tried my level best to get up early enough to get here to try the Vaucroissant I'd heard so much about but I was too late, just missed the last one. The lady in front of me beat me to it! It's a Creole sausage filled pastry, the bakery uses a locally owned sausage company to make the pastry. It took me a minute to gather myself from the loss of that infamous creation but there were a few more items to choose from. I settled on The Grains of Paradise Bun and a hot chocolate. The young man working was very informative about the items they had, although they were sold out of quite a few things. That's what happens when you're up dancing to live music all night, you get up late. They had a few pastries and some quiche left. They also had an assortment of coffee to choose from. The bakery is located a charming house, not much room to eat inside but they had seating outside under the tree and the lady with my pastry was out there enjoying My pastry. The Grains of Paradise Bun is beautiful layers of dough wrapped and wrapped to make this beautiful bun with a touch of lemon zest on top. When I bit into it, I tasted a spice that gently filled my mouth with a touch of lemon. Perfect for dunking into hot coffee or hot chocolate for me. Delicious, you could tell a lot of work was put into it. I enjoyed it very much.

I told y'all I would be going back again and again. lol. Go as soon as they open if you want the vaucrossiant, which this time I got two. I also ordered two cookies, matcha tea latte with oat milk, and birds of paradise bun with orange zest. The bun is my new favorite, from the very first bite I couldn't stop eating, more like inhaled it. lol. Again, if you have not tired this bakery you're missing out!

I passed by Lagniappe today after my morning walk. The perfect weather helped to make my visit all the more pleasant. The Bakehouse is located in a gorgeous newer construction building in Central Central on Euterpe. The front courtyard had a large Oak tree for cover. The inside space is bright and smells like heaven. Immediately, I was greeted by smiles and gorgeous variety of croissants to choose from. I ordered the smoked ham and comté cheese croissant. The price point is on the higher end but it was well worth it in my opinion. Perfectly flaky and flavorful. Also had the South African Rooibos tea. Since I don't eat bread at home, this is was a welcome opportunity to indulge. So I did and it was glorious. I also had a slice of the sweet potato cheesecake and it was soooo yummy. Great consistency and the sweet potato flavoring was subtle. I ate half and saved the rest for later to give myself something to look forward to. I now have a new favorite spot to visit on leisurely mornings!

Supercute new bakery on Euterpe! I think this weekend is there 1st days opening so of course I ran over to check them out.I snagged a croissant, pan au chocolat and a paradise bun. Everything is yummy and gorgeous. Staff was friendly and helpful. Parking is on the street and there's a ramp into the space as well as a couple of steps up. Business is cashless.

When I say I felt like I was in a neighborhood bake shop in France that's exactly how I felt. The space is beautiful and the service is great you're greeted when you walk in by very polite people. The Owner took my order she was so helpful and took the time out to explain everything she had!I started off with a triple espresso with Oat Milk that's my go to everywhere typically. The pastries were all Good! The Grains of Paradise Bun was real unique never had anything like it. It was soft, sweet, and had a tad bit of spice. Then I had the Pain Au Chocolat its really like a chocolate croissant. Very Airy, the outside was Crunchy, and the chocolate was rich and creamy if your a chocolate lover this is all you. Next I had the Vaucroissant it's a croissant stuffed with a sausage from a local business "Vaucresson Sausage Company" perfect duo I'd say. The Pastry was excellent and the Sausage was very good. Well seasoned with a little spice. My favorite of the day was the Sweet Potato Bread topped with Crème cheese. Sweet potato & Cinnamon Flavor was outstanding, the creme cheese on top was elite it complements the bread so well. It's sweet but not too sweet creamy and light just perfect. This place is new but it's going to be a neighborhood staple for years to come!

I have to say, this place is beautiful. I had the Benne and Salted Toffee cookie, which was fantastic. The cold brew was smooth and delicious. The Breton cake was pretty delicious, and that Sausage Croissant might be one of the best pastries I have had. I am giving it 3 stars just because I really didn't find anyone in there to be nice. I would say if the food I had matched the customer service, I would be back there in a heartbeat. But sadly, it did not.
