They have 2 different types of mangonadas here. There is the original and the tropical. The tropical comes with mango slices on the side. They have more candy variety here than other places in the area. There's a variety of popsicles (paletas) to choose from if you want something small and familiar. I have only tried the watermelon one and I did not like it. It didn't taste like watermelon.I recommend giving this Mexican snack shop a try. It's vegan friendly!

I drove all the way to the West Bank to try these churros after seeing them on Instagram. You can tell this business must be new by the way it looks inside. Very spacious, so social distancing shouldn't be a problem. Lots of ice cream flavors to choose from. I got the fruity pebbles, I've had better but I'm still interested in trying their other flavors. Churros took forever to come out because the machine wasn't on but they were really good. Overall I will be returning for the churros again and to try the elote.

I had been wanting to try out this spot for months and I finally made the drive over to Terrytown. Let me tell ya - it was worth it!! I got the elote and my friend got the mangonada. The elote was the perfect amount of spicy and creamy. The mangonada was a little tangy for our caucasian taste buds but it was great as well. The atmosphere is cute and fun, prices are great! I will totally come back here whenever I'm in the mood for a flavorful & hefty snack :)

Omg! This place is SO good! The fact that it's in such close proximity to my house is dangerous for my waistband, especially because it's also open late most nights. Their menu is huge, so you're more than likely to find something to satisfy your savory or sweet cravings. I love their paletas, or popsicles. My favorite is the Ferrero chocolate (which tastes like hazelnut) and I also love their pistachio. Obsessed!!

Came here for the first time with a friend because he recommended it and I was not disappointed! The inside was clean and had a few tables. The menus are graphics so you can see what everything is. There's everything from mangonada to elotes to ceviche to ice cream. I can guarantee there is something for everyone! I got the regular mangonada in size small and my friend got ferrero rocher ice cream. When I was checking out, I saw chamoy and tajin covered candies near the register and picked up a pack of gushers as well! The mangonada was delicious! It comes with 2 scoops of mango ice cream/sorbet and is topped with chamoy, tajin, Mexican candies, a tamarind straw, chopped mangos, etc. all the usual fixings. The mixture of sweet with spicy, salty, and sour just balance each other out. It really makes my tastes buds tingle! I had mangonada for the first time in Texas and although this place does things different, it was still delicious and is enough to satisfy me until I'm able to go back to the first place I've ever tried it! My friend enjoyed his ice cream and has gotten it before and really likes it. They have such a large variety of ice cream that all look delicious and I'm hoping to try it one day when I come back. We just came back from dinner so I wasn't able to try the elotes which I am a huge fan of so I will see next time if it's good! Oh the gushers are also really good! Your usual gusher with a kick of that familiar spicy, sour, salty mixture. Not only mouth watering, but dangerous because you keep wanting more! They are kinda sticky though so my recommendation if maybe pry pieces that are stuck together apart with a fork. Overall, prices were good for what you get. Everything was delicious. Service was quick and I will be back to try different things that they offer!

I can't tell you how many times I have been to La Tropicana since they opened. My favorites are the avocado ice cream and strawberries&cream paletas. Tonight I got a strawberry milkshake and it was delicioso! There is so much to choose from and at some point, I will have to try their banana split, mangonada, and the nutella crepe. Too bad for my waistline, this place is conveniently located in Terrytown, and with the staff being so friendly and helpful, I will definitely continue to be a repeat customer.

I love their cotton candy/bubblegum milkshake not too sweet plus have a pretty color to it!

I went with my husband for the first time to try a crepe. I must tell you they are delicious, with Nutella banana and strawberries. We are going back to try las paletas. The place is colorful and clean, where you can sit down and enjoy the different desserts offered. Customer service is excellent.

I would put 0 stars if I could. Its open until "10:00pm" but went at "7:00pm" and they were not letting people in. They have the open sign on and someone is behind the counter on the phone. Then I called and they answered the phone but was rude. Unsure what their deal is... going to La Michoacana.
