La Pines Cafe

Quite honestly the best breakfast I've ever eaten and the most friendly service. I ordered the signature platter that featured creamy eggs, delicious home potatoes, a buttery "grilled" biscuit and a corned beef hash that had me weak at the knees. I also enjoyed their fluffy homemade pancakes and blueberry preserves that had the perfect amount of sugar. After eating there, I now understand why Guy Fieri loves the place so much. 10/10 I would def eat here again! PS it was really refreshing to eat at a breakfast spot that actually seasons their food^^

I learned about this restaurant this morning from staff in my doctor's office.The scrambled eggs, new york strip steak, seasoned breakfast potatoes, and raisin bread toast breakfast platter was delicious! Chef's kiss!Excellent customer service!

Went here many years ago after seeing them on Triple D. The experience was awful and I never wanted to go back.Went again this weekend as a part of a group of 6. Service was not great and waitress was very slow. We were sat at a table that would have held 4 comfortably, but let's pack 6 people (1 had a cast on his arm) into this tiny space. Food was mediocre. All of the items that I tried would have been cooked better at a Waffle House. Definitely won't be back after this time.

Places like this are the reason a road trip beats a flight every time. Awesome, quaint, home cooking cafe, with excellent friendly service. I had the 12" roast beef po-boy with brown gravy, and it had that home made deliciousness thats hard to find in a restaurant. If you like onion rings, don't miss out on the perfectly golden crisp colossal onion rings, batter had just the right seasoning kick.

I can't brag enough about this little diner. We had 3 adults and the total was less than $30 ! Tip included ! And the food!?! OMG - delish. Can't beat these guys for breakfast!!

Best poboy I've had in awhile. Fries were crispy. Waitress was super busy but very quick and efficient. I'll definitely be back with the family.

First time trying La Pines Cafe on a recent trip to Slidell. We had a party of four and I had the BLT. The BLT was very good but would have been better if it was a bit bigger. All the prices are very reasonable and the everything we had was good. I would definitely recommend.

My family and I went to La Pines because we saw it on Food Network's Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives (DDD). As soon as we walked in we knew that we were in a cafe. It was clean, well lit, with plenty of seating! My daughter had the Patty Melt with fries, my wife had the Cuban sandwich with fries, and I had the Smoked Prime Rib sandwich (featured on the DDD episode) with onion rings. Our waitress was very attentive, seemed happy to serve us. This will be the third time that we have been to a restaurant that was featured on DDD and once again we were not disappointed. The smoked prime rib sandwich was one of the best sandwiches that I have ever eaten. We will most certainly be back. There are many more things on the menu that need to be tried!

This place is dope. Featured on Food Network's Diners, Drive-ins, And Dives, this place does not disappoint. It has a very family atmosphere. The place served lots of variety of food. The food is really good like a parent made it.

We had breakfast on our way out of town. Good food, fast service. Ambiance reminds us of a little diner in our home town - you'll always see a friendly face.Gets busy fast - go early.
