There was a little line to order but it moved quickly. The coffee was nice and mild, good coffee flavor. We were able to find a table inside and enjoyed our meal in this very popular bakery with a nice atmosphere for chatting and eating. The Croque Monsier was very savory I would have like a little more bechamel sauce but overall quite enjoyable. I also bought a beautiful Salted Caramel Cake that was absolutely amazing for a birthday celebration later that evening. If and when I'm back in NOLA I will stop by again.

Delicious pastries here. Chocolate cream puff was indulgent and chocolate. The mousse inside was a rich flavor and not over sweetened. The Kouign Amann had a light taste even with all of the yummy butter. The top was moist and I enjoyed this puff-like pastry. Ah! The savory and tasty Cheese and chive biscuit. The item is huge and has a cheesy, buttery flavor with two hints of heat. The dough is flaky throughout with a nice light crunch on the outside. There is also a sweet cream taste in the biscuit. And the zing of the chive really elevates the flavor. The apple pecan turnover was also good. The mild dough exterior hides a tasty combination of apples and pecans similar to a strudel. Yum!

La Boulangerie is my go to bakery for the BEST pastries! Their powdered almond croissant is a must-try, it's flaky, buttery, and dusted with powdered sugar. The rich almond filling creates a perfect balance. Friendly staff and a wide variety of options make this bakery a top recommendation for locals and tourists alike.

Good place to get pastries. They have a large menu that not only includes pastry items but it's also a restaurant. Very lively and clean place. The chocolate croissant I got was pretty good, better than your average bakery shop. I'd come back.

Great place to crab a tea, coffee, sandwiches or baked goods. Easy place for quick meetings. It can be a little loud bc of the acoustics in the building but more of a loud humm... service is quick. You order at register, get a number and they bring food to table.

In a word: Addicting. The French confections at La Boulangerie are fantastic. We stayed in town at an AirBnB over a mile walk away, but that did not stop us from walking back here every single day last week for tasty treat(s) and excellent coffee. We tried multiple cakes, pastries, pies, muffins and cookies. It is hard to name a favorite, so I'll have to divide them up by categories:Cookies: The chocolate chip cookie was gooey melty deliciousness with just the right amount of crunch at the edge. Even though they were sitting in the display case, they had the melted chocolate of a cookie right out of the oven. Amazing!Pies: The key lime pie was delicious. Just the right balance of tart and sweet. Not too creamy. And the crust was fantastic.Tarts: The lemon merengue tart was phenomenal. Classic and delicious. And the perfect size!Pastries: The blueberry pastry was so flakey and light, with just enough sweetness. It tasted like air, but was also so satisfying.Cakes: Hands-down, the carrot cake stole the show. The perfect balance of buttery but not to heavy. Just the right amount of cream cheese frosting in each layer and on top, to complement but not overwhelm. I will be dreaming about that cake for months to come.

With a busy schedule, in a town like New Orleans, (I am in the Irish Channel), I find delivery critical to my desire to try as many great restaurants as possible. Le Boulanerie is a perfect example of a great restaurant that does delivery right. 20-minutes from online order to my doorstep - Thank You, Door Dash (your results may vary :) . Seriously, the sandwiches we ordered - the Roasted Lamb ($15), the Le Parisien ($14), the Le Dindon ($12) - were fresh and delicious. Do not forget to also order bread by the loaf. We usually go for Seven-Grain, but today, it was Sourdough ($7). I cannot wait to tear into it, with homemade French Onion Soup. I really recommend Le Boulangerie, easily Five Stars, based on delivery. (Next time I will go in person, but it is New Orleans in August!)
