Jinsan Sushi Restaurant

Good service by our waitress. Food was tasty and reasonably priced. Only wish the other wait staff and sushi chefs didn't have a loud conversation right next to our table. Ambiance is typical Asian, with the obligatory fish tank by the entrance and dragon and geisha dolls. Not much to choose from in Galliano, so this is a solid choice for dinner.

We were on the island on a Sunday night not realizing every food place was closed. So we found this place on Yelp. They allowed us to order over the phone knowing we may be alittle after closing . The edamame was plain, but great tasting. We ordered the Jazz roll and snow crab naroto which were delicious! Just know the jazz roll has raw tuna (which I didn't think to ask). Will stop by again next time going to the island

Couldn't decide between going here or a different restaurant in town. So, after dining at the other place we swung by here to get 2 rolls to go. Honestly, I thought each roll had an off taste. I went ahead and ate them anyway and the good news is that I didn't get sick. I didn't give it fewer stars cause they were nice enough and quick enough and maybe it was just an off night.

Let's start with the customer service - the staff here is all so wonderful and welcoming! After only a couple of times they will remember you and treat you like fam. Even if it's your first try, they are so kind and friendly, making everyone feel at home soon as they enter through the doors. Smiles and good vibes no matter what time you come by! The food - so incredible. The sushi rolls all taste and look super fresh and vibrant! The flavors all come together like art and hit every taste bud. We usually stick to the rolls but last night we changed it up and got the egg drop soup and some ramen which was so yummy! Especially that egg drop soup, the texture and taste was on point. The rolls were amazing as usual, we got the jinsan roll and lion roll last night. But we've tried so many different kinds and they never disappoint. Not only is the taste on point, the presentation is not to be taken lightly. The food is always presented so nicely, there's so much variety from our sushi being served upon a "boat", to cute little trinkets on the side, even the veggies are always presented beautifully! They really take the extra time to make your food look as good as it tastes. Great food, great vibe, great presentation!

Excellent sushi and hibachi cooking. Unique maki rolls that highlight local ingredients.- for the most part. Been enjoying their sushi for at least 10 years!

Good Choice of seafood. Service was friendly and quick. Price a bit high but the quality and freshness of sushi can compensate it definitely come back.

The food is great and the service is great too! It's connected to Happy Games Bar and they serve food in the bar also (even hibachi). 10/10 recommend.

Jinsan is actually a great restaurant. But serving imported shrimp, in a community that was born of shrimp fishing is insulting and is a fatal error. The irony is that if they switched to local wild caught, domestic shrimp, their bottom line would improve, as would the quality of their seafood dishes. I do eat there from time to time, but not nearly as much as I would if Jinsan supported the community that supports them. With wild caught, Louisiana shrimp I'd give them a 5 star rating. Knowing that they serve imported, inferior, and possibly unsafe shrimp I struggle to give them a 2.Jinsan, I hope you read this and make changes that support your community. If so I look forward to changing my rating to a 5 star.

Wasn't expecting much but was absolutely amazed by the end. Every plate was absolutely stunning and the food was great. I was never a fan of sushi but after trying the mango one I was blown away and now it's my go to plate.

The waitress called my sister in law Fat and Ugly. And still made them pay their bill. We together payed almost $300 for 6 people. Pricey and not so good food.
