Humble Bagel

This quaint bakery produces New ORLEANS style bagels with delicious spreads. Boasting 12 types of bagels (with daily specials to boot), there are a variety of breakfast options (pb, cream cheese spreads, eggs and sausage/bacon). The bagel with lox is done very well. Kindness at the register and swiftness at the assembly, Humble Bagel is a great place to stop in for breakfast.

Great little gem in New Orleans. You need to get there early as they sell out each day. Prices are reasonable for singles and there are multiple topping options. The garlic pesto cream cheese was fantastic and it tasted like garlic and pesto. Who woulda thunk? So often the flavors are muted but this was strong and tasty. The scallion cream cheese was delicious with nice, sizable chunks of scallion. Delicious. The cold brew was decidedly mid. Just stick with hot coffee.

Humble Bagel comes highly recommended by my daughter. She has sung their praises for years. I finally got to try it Thursday May 30th. I liked it so much that I came back the very next morning! Thursday, my wife and I shared a plain bagel with veggie cream cheese, and a sesame bagel with scallion cream cheese. Friday, we split an Egg, Ham, and Swiss on a plain bagel and cinnamon-raisin bagel with plain cream cheese. Everything was delicious! Service is great and prices are reasonable.

For my first time here, I chose egg whites with grilled tomatoes and onion, scallion cream cheese and a honey wheat Everything bagel. The line was long but service was quick and I found a table outside to enjoy my bagel breakfast. I thought it was going to be toasted which brings out the flavor of the bagel topping and also adds some crunch. When I unwrapped the bagel it was mushy, messy, and unspectacular. Everyone else looked really pleased with their bagels so I think I'll leave off the tomatoes next time and go for a different bagel. It's really busy and loud inside and there is limited seating but if I were with friends, I wouldn't mind. We're loud anyway.

Had a chance to get a couple of bagels at this place. Bagels were very soft and the ladies working there were super nice. My only feedback would be to put a little more meat on the sandwiches. I got an egg, ham and cheese and would have loved a few more slices. Other than that , solid place. I also had a traditional bagel with cream cheese which was pretty good.

First of all, there are no better bagels than New York style bagels purchased and eaten in NEW YORK! I'm in the Big Apple pretty often and my family and I will go straight to a crazy delicious bagel shop in Long Island after Sunday church service. So much has changed in my city since Katrina that I decided to Google something I'd never searched for in NOLA...a NY style bagel shop. Well...I found Humble Bagel not too far from home so of course I had to check it out. I pictured a line outside the door similar to my favorite Long Island bagel shop but much to my surprise, the line was short. There were quite a few people waiting for their orders but they were in and out in no time. Food: Legit! Totally NY style and my everything bagel was EVERYTHING!!!! I ate half for breakfast and the other half for lunch. I wish my bagel was still nice and hot/toasty when I received it but it wasn't. However, it was still delicious!Service: Professional, friendly, and great smiles!!! Atmosphere: NEW YORK style bagels served with NOLA love. It doesn't get any better than that! I'll be back for my must have cinnamon raisin toasted with plain cream cheese

Great stop for a New York bagel in New Orleans. What a great value for delicious bagels. $20 for a dozen or $3.50 for a toasted bagel with cream cheese. The everything bagels are so good. Add cream cheese for a perfect Sunday breakfast. Love the veggie cream cheese, but they have an assortment of daily and seasonal flavors. May try their honey whole wheat everything bagel next visit. Sit inside or outside. Nice for a walk on Freret on a sunny Sunday morning.

The bagels are good. I will give them that. Got the garlic bagel and it is very deliciousWhen you order make sure they hear you very clearly. Ordered an egg, cheese and BACON bagel on garlic cause they were out of plain bagel. Got two bagels and a coffee and orange juice it was $25 a little pricey in my opinion when I just go bacon on the bagel. I will say the garlic bagel was very good. The everything bagel was amazing according to my teenager.

The bagel sandwich was delicious. Service was friendly and fast. Coffee was a dollar off since I got it before 8 am. Lots of families meeting up for a bite before school. The space was inviting and sunny. I would return again.

Very nice staff. Usually go early and get an assorted dozen. Always fresh and excellent taste.Variety of cream cheese available.Not too many bagel places in town but this one is excellent
