Empty Nest Cafe and Bar

This is a little spot that you would never know is there. It is located in the middle of a strip mall. It only has a few tables. We were welcomed immediately. We ordered the eggplant appetizer because they were out of gumbo. I am kind of glad they were out because I loved the eggplant. The marinara was also very good,The chicken Parmesan and shrimp remoulade wrap were delicious. I loved the fries! Everything was hot and made to order.The waitress was super sweet and the kitchen was a one man operation. We will definitely come back.

Friendly, kind and always delicious! Dependable and I enjoy the specials and also the good ole fashioned menu!

So happy to find a "new nest" for breakfast!! Christine greeted us with Southern hospitality making us feel welcome from the start! Quaint, cozy and reminiscent of "home" it truly is a gem!! I settled with the two egg breakfast! It came with grits, bacon and hashbrowns. Let's just say it satisfied my hunger plus some... and to top that off, how about a $3 mimosa??how can you not to that??

Love this little cafe! Run by kin to the owners of corner cafe. Cafe is always tidy and staff warm and welcoming. I love breakfast with my kids here, and quiet dinners with the hubby. Good food and good company!

This place is very hole in the wall breakfast cafe but it's so good and perfect! I love it! Delicious and cheap breakfast. Nothing fancy but sometimes you don't need all that! And it's a mom and pop place instead of having to go to a chain for cheap breakfast. Glad it's close to our house!

Service was slow but we were told it would be a wait because of only 1 cook. I had the Crab Cake Eggs Benedict and my wife had an omelette. The food was exceptionally good. The service and famliness of the environment was fantastic and even the people we sat next to we had great conversation. As an "out-of-tower" we were welcomed in.

Typically not the type to point out bad service but I've never left a place feeling so dissatisfied about the service. Took 15-20 minutes to even put in our food order. Then we waited 30+ minutes for our food, an omelet and the big breakfast. After getting our food we were still waiting on the pancakes to be served that came with the big breakfast, we already finished our plates and just asked for them to be packed to go. Well one of the pancakes is burnt, the other was relatively undercooked. While the servers create a welcoming environment, I do not feel a desire to return in fear of feeling ignored again.

so very disappointing, went for dinner on Saturday evening, worst roast beef poboy ever.( cut into cubes!) Daube was not cooked in the red gravy, but dry sliced meat covered with gravy, Melva was great, very personable I really wanted to support this neighborhood cafe, but I don't think I would return or recommend

They have a new cook that is awesome-the best breakfast ever! My new favorite place - She is there Monday through Friday morning

Good food great prices and very friendly. Service is very very slow. I do not recommend the waffles.
