Very friendly service and amazingly delicious donuts that can be addictive. These are perhaps the most soft, fresh and huge glazed donuts I've had apart from Baker's Dozen. I have to say, these do not get hard after hours of sitting like some places. They actually remain super soft. I'm sooooo, glad they're located in the East, far away from me lol. Highly recommend!!

I just found out that she makes king cakes! You have to order in advance, but baby let me tell you!!!! If you like their doughnut's you'll love the king cake! Oh and the service is always impeccable!

These Donuts are awesome, my wife has been getting them for me since I was in college. The place is always packed and alive. I love what it does for the neighborhood. The donuts are always fresh I've never had a bad batch from here and on top of that she gives you a sample one to eat with your order. They are so soft, moist & sweet! Everything you want out of a donut is what these donuts are. New Orleans east gets a lot of hate but we keep supporting business like this it brings nothing but good to the East side I've New Orleans.

I haven't been to the Donut Bakery in a decade, primarily because I don't spend a lot of time in the east. But I've always known that they make great donuts. The shop was listed in the Yelp donut collection, so I thought I'd go out of my way to try them out again.I bought a dozen of mixed donuts and an apple fritter for $13, including tax. It was probably the best fritter I've eaten in the past 10 years, at least. The edges were crispy, the middle soft, and, get this, there was apple in almost every bite. I don't remember the last time I've eaten an apple fritter that contained more than trace amounts of real apple. It was generously coated in icing and the cinnamon was on point. Service was fine. The young lady who assisted me was hospitable and fast. There was a short line, and people kept coming, but it moves quickly. As for ambiance, it's clean. It's definitely a hole in the wall, but you don't go to Donut Bakery for excellent ambiance. You go for great tasting and reasonably-priced donuts.

This is, hands down, the best donut shop on the planet! I grew up in New Orleans East and we came here often. When I got older and started coming back on my own, the donuts were just as good. This has been verified many times over as I've brought friends from Arizona to New Orleans and they all confirm that these are the. Eat donuts that they've ever tasted. The service is always good. The nicest people work there from the community and the owner can often be heard singing in the back or hanging out up front between baking. The place isn't much to look at from the outside (or the inside for that matter). But as soon as you walk in, you can smell fresh donuts being baked. I only ever buy the glaze donuts (if you can get them hot, even better!). You will not regret this place if you visit!

i had gotten 4 apple fritters for guys at work, and they were the best apple fritters any of us have tried. The only reason for 4 stars, we all wish we could get them at 05:30 just before work!

I never leave reviews but this the best donuts I've ever had in my life..And she gave me a free donut I was like thank you it was sooo good. BEST DONUTS IN THE WORLD!!!!!

By far the best hot glazed donut you will ever eat in your life. The staff is amazing. I would recommend this place to everyone. Please don't go between 8-9AM because that's when I go and line is already big enuff.. lolThese donuts are made with love that's why there so good..

They're reasonably priced, everyone is always so kind in the shop. The donuts are HUGE and always fresh! It doesn't look like much on the outside or the inside, but it is clean and presentable with a wide variety of products and beverages.

The donuts from here are outstanding. I was in New Orleans for a training class, and our host brought donuts from here one morning. He told us a little about the owners/bakers and how important this shop is to the community. I only got to try a glazed donut, but it was on my short list of the best I have ever had.
