I can't believe I haven't written a review yet. I LOVE CAFE DU MONDE, and so do thousands of others. It's quintessential New Orleans. I love coming on weekdays when it's much slower. I always order a plate of beignets (it comes with 4) and a hot coffee. The coffee is great, but nothing extraordinary--it pairs well, though. As for the beignets, they are a dream come true. They're fluffy, chewy, and perfectly sweet. If you're coming to New Orleans, this is a MUST!!!

toooooo overhyped. How the hell do people stay in line for that?? They ONLY serve beignets and coffee. NOLA literally has bad coffee (tried a few other places and they suck). Beignets were good but nothing to write home about. Two stars because at least my server (name: two) was friendly and welcoming. Would not be in a rush to return.

CASH ONLY.Beginets are awesome and covered in literally 1/4C of powdered sugar.Dirty as a mother fucker and every wait staff looks like they're on the ass-end of a 16-hour shift.Coffee was good. Prices are down to earth. People watching is outstanding but beware the various hustlers.

This iconic spot was as crowded as ever, but they had a great system to make sure both lines moved efficiently. One line was for take out orders while the other was just for sitting in the café. We sat at a table and were in and out in thirty minutes at the most.An order of beignets ($4.53) was tried. There were three regular sized ones to an order. They came out warm and topped with lots of powdered sugar. These were good. They were not as airy as I thought they would be, but still solid. The sugar was obviously the key. They essentially reminded me of a traditional zeppole. Will I go back? Possibly.

I'm not gonna lie, I had high expectations for this place. I expected authentic beignets to taste much better than ones I had here. Our server was nice, she talked to us a lot and was very sweet. When she brought out our beignets for the first time, she asked if it was hot enough and we told her it was at a medium temperature. She then offered to bring us a different newer batch so it could be extra hot. After I took a bite, it seemed like the outside was too fried for the pillow soft interior. It didn't live up to my expectations. I also ordered hot chocolate and it was so good!! I enjoyed it better than the beignets sadly. Overall 5/5 customer service but 3/5 for the actual beignets. It is also a cash only establishment so beware! I do suggest everyone tries beignets from here since my tastebuds may not be the same as yours.

CASH ONLY! Heads up! So this isn't my favorite beignet place because there are far better places IMO In NOLA but you can't come here and not go here! There's usually a line but there are so many tables so just wait and file in. The coffee is superb and service is quick. The shop is huge with fans inside and it has a vintage vibe.

This was my first time ever trying this award-winning beignets/coffee shop and I would have given them five stars but the coffee was too dark for my poor weak stomach! Lol I favor light/mild coffees. To order it took us about 30 minutes to get through the line, which was fine because it was not raining and by the time we got inside, my family was able to find us a table. Divide and conquer! Also remember to bring cash and it's only $3.25 for the beignets! Sadly, I didn't have any cash and had to borrow some from my auntie! Lol goodness!! Ambience is rather busy and if you ask, you can get a fun hat like the people that work there so since my family and I are all traveling, we decided to take pictures with the hats as if we were all employees! Lol very fun, loving environment, and there was even a musician playing live music outside! I truly love the environment in atmosphere of New Orleans and the shop was delicious!! I also love the fact that I could buy apparel as well as the mix and coffee to take home. That you can use credit cards with. Lol sadly I had no space in my suitcase to bring anything home except for two orders of vets for the plane. They did not taste as good home and in the air fryer, but they were also with me on a plane for six hours! Lol just in case you're thinking of bringing some back to whatever your home state is.I also went to another Cafe Du Monde inside the mall and their beignet packs were the exact same taste and flavor yet two dollars more expensive. Plus, you're in a mall as opposed to walking the beautiful French Quarter and seeing all the shops and amazing jazz players on each corner. So I will definitely come back to just particular location again.

BEIGNETS-OMG where have u been all my life! This was the first time (that I remember) of me trying these hot goodies. I thought they would just be like powdered sugar doughnuts but I was wrong. These are denser yet fluffier and yummier. Dip them in hot coffee to cut the sugar a bit. I did dust off the excess sugar on it.Cafe Du Monde is the perfect place to try these. Lovely atmosphere and quick service. There was some live music going on outside which added to the ambience. $11 for coffee+1 order beignets+tip. Will be back next trip!
