Cafe Beignet, Canal St

This cafe was conveniently next to the hotel I was staying at so I was the perfect stop for breakfast. The place is so cozy and cute with 2 small rooms and a patio. There was piano playing 80s music on its own which added to the NOLA music vibe. The service was friendly enough. I ordered beignets, the breakfast sandwich, and a cafe au lait. The beignets were big, fluffy, and had the perfect density. They were easily the best beignets I've had. The breakfast sandwich was very good as well. You can choose to have it in a croissant or bagel.

New Orleans? Haven't beignet. A colleague recommended trying this place out and even said that the beignets here were better than Cafe Du Monde's. I can confirm that it was indeed better! The beignets were bigger, fluffier, and not too doughy. Hands down the best beignets I've had on the trip!

I'm going to say it... their beignets here is better than the other known location in the French Quarter. The line is already more bearable. We got to the front within 10mins and beignets in hand 5mins after we order. The beignets are bigger, lighter and not doughy/thick!There are seatings in front, in front of the cashier and there's a dining room next to the front room. In a few days in the area, we stopped by 2x.

The beignets aren't bad. But there's a reason why cafe du monde is as famous as it is. Just go there for beignets. The beignets at Café beignet are more dense and not as fluffy as the ones from Café Du Monde. There's a big difference in texture.The other food on the menu is still really good. I got the crawfish étouffée from Café beignet and I really enjoyed it. A decent amount of crawfish was in the dish.

Beignets were pretty good, definitely a little bit different in terms of more dense, doughy but if your craving a Beignet in a pitch-- this is will do the trick! 3 a piece- enough to share! 1 is definitely big enough per person! Breakfast sandwich was ok.. croissant or bagel, which was fresh! Don't get the coffee. It wasn't worth it, go across the street to French Truck Coffee !

My 1st time experiencing a Beignet and it was so good. Ughh !!! I'm from Jersey and these were so good. They melted in my mouth. I'm glad I don't live here cause I would weigh 300 lbs. The service was pleasant and they were helpful. They bought our food out to us. I will probably miss these Beignets the most. Unfortunately, all I had was Beignets so the next time I come I will have to actually sit out on canal street and eat. I can't believe these things are so good.

I mean, these beignets are just delicious. Fresh, not greasy, hot, doughy, and sweet. They're heaven on earth. There was no wait to order. The customer service wasn't super friendly and they forgot our order but once we got the beignets it made up for it lol There was a piano that played on its own with the keys pressing down and my kids got a kick out of that.

I ordered the crawfish omelet. It wasn't for me but it's located on an easily accessible corner. Theres live music during the day. They have a bar. The food came fairly fast. Looks like a great spot for coffee. I'll have to give that a try.

I ordered a dirty chai latte here and was pretty disappointed because of how watery it was. Their beignets also didn't look super enticing, so I didn't get one. If you're coming to New Orleans, I think the weight in line for Cafe Du Monde is worth it. If you're in a pitch and just want a coffee, here would suffice. The place itself was cute enough and the servers were doing their best. It gives off "French cafe" vibes but also has a bar!

HANDS DOWN! Cafe Beignet make the best beignets in New Orleans. Completely skip Cafe Du Monte! I visited it last year. It felt like they just toss them in the bag and a few spoons of powdered sugar. At cafe Beignet, they came out hot and fresh with mountains of powdered sugar. This is just like how I imagine Tiana's beignets would taste like. It's crisp just like on the outside and fluffy soft on the inside. The servers and the services were great. They were very understanding when we wanted to switch to dine in. It was pretty empty on weekdays.
