"It's a 5 for me dawg! Not my first time here but my first review. This 5 is for everything thing all rolled into one aka body of work not just one experience. You may go one day and they are out of hash or good too late and there is no food. Even the credit card machine could be down. It may be crowded but the line moves fast and the people working serve you with a smile. *le sigh* I am hopping ya'll to another one of my go to hidden gems in NOLA. Pro tip: They open at 6am. Go early. The earlier the better. True. You can DoorDash and the like but do it early! Some of you ask asking what is a buttermilk drop? For the uninitiated think of a big donut hole at the top of its game glazed to perfection. What else do you get? The bakery is on one side. The savory food on the other. Whatever you want for breakfast is available. Grits (no sugar, please. In how reviews with grits have I said this?), eggs, bacon, turkey sausage, fried chicken, breakfast rice. Yes! Breakfast rice. It saves lives! In the simplest of terms and for descriptive purposes only think of friend rice. Got the picture? Take out the carrots and peas. Add green onions and bits of link sausage, ground sausage, maybe bacon? Check out the picture. This deliciousness fixes whatever ails you from the night before. Speaking of pics, I know. You can hear the crunch on the chicken right? Tastes as good as it looks. Just a wee hint of spice. I didn't get a pic of a buttermilk drop (use ya googles) but I did get a pic of my Apple fritter. Big enough to share but I am not. Pro tip 2: Bring ya patience and your manners with you to the 7th ward. The Buttermilk Drop isn't some glorified tourist trap."

"4/18/2022 I've been going to district for years strictly for donuts and coffee which they've mastered beautifully. I decided hey it's time to try out breakfast. I chose the hot honey buttered chicken biscuit. At first glance I wasn't sure how I was going to conquer this delicious massive sandwich in front of me. So I cut it in half and proceeded to dive in. The chicken was seasoned and fried so well. Warning it is a chicken thigh and not a chicken breast so it is darker meat. I had no issues with it. The biscuit was amazing think church's biscuit but way bigger and loads more of butter and honey with a kick of heat. It wasn't to spicy but the spice was still there. I thoroughly enjoyed the sandwich and when I'm ready hungry I'd get it again."

"Went for a quick bite to eat. Almost empty when we arrived but filled up quickly. We got there right about 11 so their lunch menu just started. I got the chicken sliders and waffle fries. It was delicious! It cost $11 and you get two sliders with a good size pice of fried chicken tender, seasoned very well I might add. It also had a sweet savory slaw and pickled jalapeños. All the flavors together just made it very very good. There were plenty of waffle fries too!!! My boyfriend got the sliders as well but with the angus hamburger patties. He said they were very good but I think he was jealous of mine . I got a large iced mocha latte as well and it did not disappoint! We also ordered a cookie as we were not in the mood for their delightful donuts. That cookie didn't even get a picture it was so good! We ate it before our food even arrived. Very great visit as always! Looking forward to the next one!"

"Donuts is something I do only once or twice a year when they are special - and for a moment after entering the clean and modern looking store I hesitated. The owner extended me a warm welcome and I couldn't resist a purchase. While the donuts don't look different, they sure taste different. This is on a Saturday morning mind you. The three I bought tasted incredibly good and fresh. The breakfast sandwich (egg, cheese and ham) that I got was good too. They'll earn another star from me if they can make it crispy next time. The flavor was a little strange, and the texture between the hard sugar glaze--think cream brulee--and the slightly undercooked dough was off-putting. The drinks were good.The service was fine, and the order was ready quickly. It would have been nice if they had wormed it up a little more, which might have fixed the texture issue. There is nowhere to sit inside at this location, but a couple of small benches are attached to the outside of the building where there is some shade."

Walked up to the counter was immediately greeted and asked how can I help you. Unfortunately I don't live close by, but if I did I'd definitely consider them a competitor to Mary Lee for many and I'm sure they'd do well.The donuts are small in size, which I actually prefer. The flavor of the traditional glazed is a bit buttery but not too much so. They kind of have that melt in my mouth, light and fluffy donut taste and texture that I love. If anyone is ever in the Dutchtown/Prairieville area, plan to check them out!"

"Another new Mochinut location! This one is on Manhattan Blvd. in Harvey, the convenient strip where all of the stores you need to visit are found. A perfect dessert spot to swing by after you're done shopping!The shop itself is really spacious. I'm hoping they fill it with more stuff (have to cut them some slack though, they're still getting their bearings together!) So far, they have some games available to play, an old-school arcade game, an air hockey table, and some books for entertainment.Mochinuts are donuts with a chewier texture (mochi) than what you might be used to eating. They're really yummy, and they swap out the flavors each week (plus, each location offers different flavors). The mochinuts are reasonably priced at 3 for $10 or 6 for $18. Because mochinuts are made partially with rice flour, they're lower in gluten than traditional donuts. Maybe a good option to try if you're a sensitive to gluten!They also offer soft-serve ice cream, mochiballs (basically mochinuts with filling inside), rice dogs (similar to corn dogs, but with the outside breading being made with rice flour), and various drinks.I got to try 3 mochinuts complimentary with the Yelp Elite Event perk, but I also purchased an original rice dog (they come with various toppings) and a Biscoff mochiball.This would also be a great place to pick up desserts for an event or as a gift because the packaging is SO DARN CUTE!!"
