Shercole K. "I had the honor of picking Cafe Dauphine for my Birthday Lunch. It was one of the last black owned restaurants in the city that I had to try. I was truly amazed by this place. The service and the food were exceptional! The location is tucked away in a neighborhood in the Lower Ninth ward, which I find very cool. Peaceful and quiet area. Upon entering Cafe Dauphine, you are greeted with welcoming smiles! The waitress was wonderful, friendly and knowledgeable. She helped everyone in our party make decisions on our meal! Now to the food... Most people at my table started with a crab and crawfish bisque.... Listen.... it was truly a meal within itself, I could have ordered 5. The flavor was phenomenal and it had all the seafood in it! Not just one little thing but enough to make it super filling! I truly enjoyed it. For my lunch, I went with a Fish and Shrimp plate. The seafood was fried to perfection and with just the right spices to give it a kick! Along with it, I had the loaded mash potatoes, which was truly loaded and almost a meal it self! I really enjoyed the food and vibe here. This is a great place for group outings.Wonderful Lunch PlacePlace for seafood lovers*FYI No alcoholStreet parking is available, but you definitely shouldn't have any issues finding parking in the area."

The salads are good and the pastatio dish was AWESOME! Like a beef macaroni and cheese with béchamel. Try it! They have a very attractive juicing smoothie bar inside as well. Not my thing, but looked good."

Deirdre T. "I waited to post this review because I needed to see how the pizza help up during a reheat the next day and boy was I satisfied. I enjoyed the hot sausage pizza (hot sausage, green peppers, red onions) which was highly recommended by a neighbor friend. Now don't be surprised at their pricing. This isn't dominos or pizza corporate chain where you can get a $10 or less pizza. I spent $27 including tip for the large pizza. However it lasted me 3 days (one dinner and two lunches). The service was great. They answered all my questions and made sure I had everything I needed before leaving. The inside is diner styled but there's plenty of booths if you want to eat inside. Next time I will try the wings which also come highly recommended. And I may throw some shredded lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, and a bit of Japanese Mayo atop my pizza and remix it into a hot sausage "poboy" pizza."

Elizabeth N. "We came here for dim sum on a Sunday's morning as it was recommended and kids friendly. It was rather quiet so we found parking quickly. Restaurant looked like it was a house which fit into the decor of the neighborhood. Huge patio outside; we sat inside. We got the soup dumpling, friend pork dumpling roll, spicy dumpling soup, jelly and cucumber salad, sticky rice in lotus leaf, rainbow Mille crepes, Japanese cheesecake and a matcha tea mill crepes. Portion was good and expected of what a dim sum would be. Everything was fresh delicious and tasty. Food came out promptly after we ordered. The kids are picky about their sticky rice and ate all of it. It was the one thing I didn't try. The cakes were got were delicious and beautifully presentation. Everything came to less than $90 with tips. I would recommend and will come back if/when in the area."

Patricia R. "I popped in here this week, as I was jonesing for a cappuccino. It was my first visit, and I had no idea what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised. They're located on Spanish Fort, very near St. Pius Church and School. There was plenty of available parking and the signage on the front was cute and inviting. As you walk in you immediately notice that it's bright, and the colorful artwork is cheery. The counter was manned by one lady, who was doing her best to fill orders. I was third in line and it took a few minutes. I must say that she was quick and efficient, just really busy. The guy in front of me ordered a peppermint, iced, green tea and cheese grits. The tea really peaked my interest, and although I didn't order it at the time, I'm definitely going to give it a try soon. I had my cappuccino and it was delicious! Perfect everything! There was a B & I group meeting while I was there, and it seems that this is a good spot for meetings. I also overheard a job interview going on at one of the tables. I saw that they serve coffees, teas, breakfast sandwiches, muffins, bagels, grits, paninis, and lots of other things. I'll be back and give some other items a try. Especially that peppermint, iced, green tea."

Chasity M. "I've visited Pax Treme a few times this year for Midnight Noodle's pop-up "The 88 Burger" which includes vegan diner food such as burgers, loaded tater tots and pizza. I'm not vegan but I'll tell you one thing, this was some of the best vegan food I've EVER had. And as a person with vegan friends, a vegan "advocate" if you will, that still enjoys her meat from time to time, the shit is bomb. One of the first things I copped from The 88 Burger was the "Number One Stunna", a burger affectionately named after one of the greatest songs ever by our hometown heroes (if you're fortunate enough to have New Orleans be your hometown) The Big Timers. This includes crispy caramelized onions, 88 sauce, pickles, vegan American cheddar and a Beyond burger patty. As I bit into it, I could hear echoes of the lyrics "You know me, I don't need no introduction..." Okay, maybe not all of that. But it was GOOD. The Beyond patty melts in your mouth and those crispy, caramelized onions really tops it off. About a month later, I had to visit again as new additions hit the menu. This time I went with the "Big Love to Mama" burger which includes caramelized onions, 2 thin Beyond meat patties, Follow Your Heart vegan American cheese, house made 88 special sauce and a 3-part sesame bun. Think of it as one big delicious vegan Big Mac, but better! And yes, 100% vegan. Made by vegans!Just wow. Melvin Midnight definitely has a gem on his hands with this pop-up. I'll certainly be back for more once new dates are released."

We had spaghetti and meatballs today, and the sauce was delicious, meatballs were huge as I love them, and the angel hair pasta was cooked just right. I've tried pork chops, chicken dishes, plenty of desserts like the triple chocolate dessert today and never been disappointed. My coworkers would agree that we would be just fine if Coffee Bean were the only caterers who ever came to our office. I hope to one day check out their location inside Surgical Specialty Center as I've heard they do a great lunch, but until then, I'll keep getting excited every time they bring food to us. :-)"

Ellery D. "Back in CA, I had an unhealthy obsession with the Quickly chain and was devastated to find my favorite branch has closed down. Been looking for a worthy contender in NOLA for years now and here I've finally found it! Not many places do a decent blended boba drink; they're often not sweet enough, not creamy, the ice is too coarse/crunchy, or the boba is still hard at the center. This one, however, was perfect. Nice strong flavor, sweet how I like it, and well blended. The boba was made right too. I tried the taro coconut smoothie with almond milk and boba and have no complaints at all. My only confusion was that I asked if they could do a blended thai tea and was told that they couldn't, but there are pictures of blended thai tea here on Yelp. :/ Hmmm...I'll definitely be back and I guess I'll ask about it again."
