"Food: This being my favorite vegan breakfast spot, I have eaten here multiple times. The pancakes, beignets and vegan crab cakes are delicious and among my favorite menu items. This time I tried the vegan gumbo and I loved there being an option from traditional gumbo. The gumbo has mushrooms, yellow squash and zucchini in it. My only thing was the flavor wasn't rich enough for me.Service: I have always have a pleasant encounter with the staff at the cafe. They was polite and always answer any questions I've hadAtmosphere: Located in the French Market, it is very busy with people in and out of the market. You can order online and pickup order to avoid being in the most of some of the food traffic."
"Amazing breakfast/ brunch spot. The staff is extremely friendly and very accommodating. The food was made so quickly! We ordered fresh orange juice, coffee and a make your own omelette with jam, bacon and cheese and it was unreal. Big portions, which is always a great sign. I recommend getting the side of roasted potatoes, so good!!! In our four day visit to NOLA we ate here twice because it was that great!"

"I really really enjoyed Paladar 511! Everything we ate was delicious! The food was hot, tasty, and brought out quickly! I got a breakfast cake and tried the farm egg pizza! Soooo good! The drinks were amazing! The service was top tier. Our server was so kind and attentive , but other servers made sure to check on us as well. I love how bright and open the space is! I came for brunch which had a limited menu but I can't wait to return for dinner!"
"Great filling food, Large variety of menu offerings. Always a great Bloody Mary and mimosa to start your day. This is our go-to spot when in the downtown area. It's close to our hotel. There is another location closer to the Hilton we now prefer this location. Just a short walk but we'll worth it. Our food is always delivered hot and comes out at 1 time so we can all eat together. They have no problem serving 6 at a table."
"If you want New Orleans to feel like home this is your spot I'm from LA my man from Texas and we feel like we from New Orleans baby. Thank you for the put on"
"I honestly can't review this place for the food but I can for their human kindness and for that I give 5 stars. We decided to help someone less fortunate than us by buying them a meal and when the gentleman in my photo seen us giving them food, he came over across the street and gave some hot coffee to them, since it was a little chilly that night. I know it may sound like "only coffee", but to some I'm sure it's a big deal at that moment in life."
"Great early morning breakfast place. I got there about 615am & was greeted at the door by my waitress Chris.I ordered coffee, sausage gravy & biscuit with a side of crispy bacon. The food came out quick & was hot & tasty. Chris checked on me several times & gave me a sweet tea to go in a cool cup for later. I liked it so much that I came back all 4 days that I was staying in Covington.I will be back when I return to the area."
"These have to be the biggest and freshest beignets that I've had. I like these better than Cafe Du Monde. They come in orders of 3 but I shared with a neighbor as I wasn't going to be able to eat all of them.Delicious and priced right."
"Best breakfast place we went to when we were in New Orleans! Was a ways a way on the trolley and then you had to walk through a neighborhood but so worth it. The art on all of the walls on the inside is amazing and creates the ambiance of the place. It's more of a locals place which makes the service even better because it felt like home. We had the french toast, crawfish benedict (amazing!) and breakfast sandwich. All really great! I highly recommend coming all the way over here off the beaten path just for an amazing breakfast."
"Checked out Tujague's new Happy Hour menu and WOW! It was great! They have a ton of discounted bites and even discounted Veuve on the menu. I loved sitting in the courtyard and the service was great. Not on the happy hour menu, but the Grasshopper cocktail is a must-try!"
"Great little coffee shop in the French Quarter with both inside and outside seating. The cappuccino, as well as the food, is excellent. Delicious desserts. Friendly staff. A great place to relax and people watch."
"Been coming to this place for years and it never disappoints. Wait take that back only disappoints me that they aren't open on Monday and Tuesday. The location is perfect the service is always welcoming and the food is consistently flavorful and timely. Also the ambiance is the perfect mix of casual with classy. I typically go for the bottomless mimosa and the ratios are perfect and if you want a little more or less of something they are on it. Check this place out if you haven't already."

Left here today pretty shocked at how positive the reviews had been. I came specifically because the reviews were so positive. The storefront staff was rude and disinterested. The food was just average, nothing spectacular. Would not come back.

Background: Came during a bustling Mardi Gras Sunday for bunch.Pre-Service: Like all brunch spots, there is a 20-40 min wait if busy because they don't do reservations (thankfully) so that's expected..Service: Our Server Catrina "With a C " was simply amazing.. great energy, healthy jokes, fast service, filled drinks, all the trademarks of an amazing server.. Ask for CATRINA.. I'm telling youFood: Amazingly tasting Breakfast pi-Boy with mouth melting cheesy grits on the side w/Bacon. I was full with 1/2 the sandwich but it was so good I forced myself to finish the restOverall: 10/10 all things considered.. would love to come back when in town.... Great experience..

Outside of the typical fare you may find in the French Quarter, there is a wonderful Italian restaurant called Paladar 511 that is hip and modern, with nectarous cuisine that will linger on your palate for a good time afterward. The restaurant itself has both a ground floor where most of the dining tables are located with an open kitchen to watch the action and a wine cellar in the back. The mezzanine floor has a private dining area for parties that would like to have the space to themselves for fun and relaxed experiences. If you site at the bar, you get to experience watching the kitchen staff preparing all the meals, which is pretty cool. Cocktail-wise, I enjoyed the Bad Mr Jive that was rye-based with sweet vermouth, Amaro, and Apertif, which was more Manhattan themed with a twist. For dinner, I savored every bite of the pork saltimbocca that was glorious with the polenta, grilled broccolini, and capers. The marsala jus complimented so delightfully. It was one of my favorite meals in New Orleans.

Solid 3.5 star joint. Staff are super chill and the vibe is slightly dive bar...my kind of place. As it was close to our hotel, thought we would stop in one night for dinner. One of the football games was on so it was a good spot to sit and watch. Notes:Wings came recommended, and these were probably the best out of our entire order. If you're looking for some straightforward eats, I'd get some of these. My trio - gumbo, etouffee, red rice and beans...was just so so. Flavors were hit or miss. Definitely more food than I could eat, plus came with fried green tomatoes and a biscuit. A couple local beers on the menu plus a full bar...All in all, I wouldn't come here expecting some crazy good meal, but it's a fun spot to grab a bite.

This place is amazing. The food and presentation were fantastic! I'll be sure to add this to my New Orleans itinerary moving forward. Try the gumbo grits!

Came here after a concert and the line was out the door. It's a small spot. Maybe about 4/5 tables and some stools. Got a burger and tater tots. So yummy. You can customize your burger. You can also see the cook, cook. The smell made me want to add bacon to my burger and it was perfection.

What an absolute delight! My wife and I decided to take a leisurely drive across the lake and she wanted a waffle - we searched "waffles Mandeville" and this place stood out in the search results. I'm so glad we came. The service here is phenomenal - southshore Brennan's quality without the haughtiness. The food was good and the menu is tantalizing, but to me the kind nurturing neighborhood vibe and level of service really stood out. Come support this woman-owned business right across the lake, y'all. If you're lucky, Liz will greet you at the door. We'll be back.

I've never had a beignet before but let me say I'm hooked. Fried bread with powdered sugar is so simple but they do it great here at cafe Beignet. The counter employee's and the wait staff made this experience really special. The 3 piece band was playing local jazz and sent a lively mood throughout the place. Liked the design and atmosphere immediately upon entering. Very old school New Orleans. If you like cafés this is the stop for you. We all enjoyed our coffee and hot chocolate drinks. They have a fully stocked bar here as well if you want a place to get a drink. They have many specialty drinks to choose from. I'll be back to visit and enjoy all Cafe Beignet has to offer when I get back to visit New Orleans again.

"Cute restaurant. Friendly service. Great food. Has a vegan menu and I tried a few things that were all very good."
"Came here for lunch haven't been since I was 18 I'm 30 now still so good love the goat cheese running through could have used more seasoning but it's salt and pepper on the table still amazing Madison was great!!!!!!"
"Okay, yes this is a COFFEE shop. If you are expecting Starbucks drinks that are more sugar and a drop of coffee you will probably have to express that to the barista, otherwise you will get a true coffee! I ordered an iced coffee with a pump of SF mocha and also a hot drip coffee. Both were great, their coffee is wonderful! I also tasted my dad's americano, AMAZING. My brother and husband don't really drink coffee so to them it wasn't their kind of spot. Regardless it has a wonderful environment to socialize with friends. P.S. THEY HAVE A DRIVE THRU!!!! And take Apple/Google pay. All the things."
"I'm going to say it... their beignets here is better than the other known location in the French Quarter. The line is already more bearable. We got to the front within 10mins and beignets in hand 5mins after we order. The beignets are bigger, lighter and not doughy/thick!There are seatings in front, in front of the cashier and there's a dining room next to the front room. In a few days in the area, we stopped by 2x."
"Great neighborhood bar with great food, reasonable drink prices, fun people, and a place in history. If you've never been, GO."
"Arrived on a Sunday around noon and sat outside in the heat of summer because it was going to be a 40 minute wait for inside. Despite the heat and dripping sweat, I still enjoy the food so much. Hands-down, I will go back for the pate any day anytime. The portion was amazing so amazing. In fact that we had to order more bread like five times. It is enough to feed a family. I am still dreaming of it to this day.Otherwise, all the food was great, but still, the pate was my favorite. Service was friendly I would recommend sitting indoors if you're in the heat of summerIt is close to NOMA, just a few blocks downI would definitely come back!"
"Glad we found this place! It's very open and welcoming. You walk up and grab a menu then order at the counter.Plenty of seating area. I had the #6 and my husband had the Salmon Bagel. Service was great, the food was done in a timely manner. I love that you can serve yourself water and coffee. Definitely recommend this place when in Baton Rouge!"
"I frequent the Daily Beet often and it's always really solid! The food is fresh, flavorful and legit healthy. My go to order is the orbit bowl though it sometimes is very rice heavy- it has vegetables, egg, a really good vinaigrette and fills me up but not too much. I pair that with the almond butter chocolate chip energy bites. Y'all these things are delicious but not too sweet! I wish they were cheaper- I think you get 2 for $4 so I don't get them every time I go. My other favorite sweet treat is the dragon fruit chia seed pudding- it's tasty but not too sweet and very filling. It's also kinda pricey so I don't get it all the time either. The service is always great- folks are friendly and will provide recommendations or explain recipes if you have dietary concerns or restrictions. The ambience is nice, it's an open space and sometimes people will bring their laptop to eat and work. They have limited outside seating, a solid playlist and it's clean, bright and inviting. Daily Beet will continue to be my downtown go to place for healthy, fresh, good food!"
"Great food and service! Wonderful brunch spot! I'd highly recommend The French Press, especially for brunch. The wait staff is very friendly and helpful at recommending great dishes."
"I go for breakfast with friends. I eat my feelings there. I ordered a bunch of things to try, now I only order one thing, over and over again. I feel happy, I order it, then I'm happier. I feel sad, I feel happier and not guilty. The Queen of the menu for me is the Baked Eggs in Brioche. The perfect amount of butter, cream with eggs within house baked brioche. Oh thank you to all and any god of present or past times. This is the nicest coziest breakfast that just makes you feel like you've been whisked off to a Parisian Cafe. It comes with a little cup of season fruits and paired with a cup of coffee it is the perfect breakfast in my humble opinion. However, their quiche wedges are a solid second for me too. Everything is delicious and having tried a sampling of their dessert and pastry platters, I can say, lots of love is put into every bite at Tartine"
"Gosh this was a hard review to write or even number. The employees are nice and friendly and I love the ambience. It's got a great outdoors area with tables and is just such a fun place. However, the two things I tried did not make me a fan. And that's the problem. I started out with the mushroom sandwich and I'd have loved it (I think) except for the peppers. As in hot peppers, and the menu doesn't say that there are peppers. Excited for my mouth catching for I really like the sandwich. So when I returned it I had to come up with something I wanted to eat. That just was such a compromise that I didn't like it. And we had to adjust it because of my being pescatarian. So it was doomed to failure. They do have some cool breakfast items and I plan to come back and will revisit this review then."
"I went here with a group of 16. They were able to accommodate us with a reservation the day of. They allotted one server for our table which ended up not being too bad. Holy moly the oysters are HUGE and tasty with the bread. You have to get the oysters. Most meals come with a salad of your choice between house or Caesar. The stuffed mushrooms were a great add on for appetizers. I got the norman, it was a cozy meal with really large shrimp. I personally would've liked something more spicy. The gator bites were huge as well and fresh. I recommend if you're trying to get some Louisiana cuisine in the area."
"As excellent for breakfast as it was last time I was here a few years ago.Crabcake Eggs Benedict with grits, yum."
"We took a stroll here for coffee and ended up ordering the crawfish melt and quiche as well. It was amazing! Highly recommend this place to break away from the canal st and French quarter tourist crowd. The place has plenty of sitting area to hang out."
"How much do I like Dot's Diner? When I visit New Orleans, I'm often a guest of Harrah's Casino, who provide me with transportation between their property and the airport in Kenner. More than once, on my way out of town, I've paid my driver a substantial tip to stop at Dot's on Williams Blvd. before we reached MSY, so I could enjoy an unplanned one-more-last-good-meal.Eggs, pancakes, breakfast meats and good coffee are obvious choices, but Dot's does more: their kitchen, which I suspect it haunted by someone's cher tante, turns out home-style Southeastern Louisiana fare that stands with the best such dishes served in da Parish. Is Dot's in Kenner convenient? Not unless you're already in the area. Is it fast? Depends on the day, and time of day. But Dot's food is very good, and it's inexpensive, even when you add in the monster tip required to convince your driver to abandon his schedule. There's value in those things."
"Satsuma is one of my favorite breakfast places in the city. There coffee is perfection! The food offering range from healthy to decadent with my favorites being the green sandwich and brunch specials like todays with pork and potato hash with lots of veggies, topped with two eggs and a big biscuit with homemade jam. Always a treat but nourishing too."
"I'll be honest, my medium-rare steak was overcooked and somehow dry, although still pink in the center. My husband's French toast was made with wheat bread, which was unexpected and definitely not the preference. It made the toast fall flat, though he said it was still tasty and made well. Just wished it wasn't wheat. It's typical diner food. Nothing fancy, but solid. Maybe we didn't love-love our dishes that day, but it wasn't all bad. I enjoyed the seafood gumbo and mashed potatoes, and I loved the gravy. We had a wonderful experience overall. Service was excellent from the moment we walked in. Everyone we spoke to was warm and gracious. Our server was wonderful! We loved their homemade salad dressings, so she made a way for us to buy some to take home. We could easily be regulars here!"
"We loved our breakfast so much that we came back the next day! The food was beyond delicious especially the grits and beignets. We loved the atmosphere and the Cajun community who are obviously regulars. I hope to come back soon."
"I live nearby but haven't been here for a long time. Went for brunch recently and it was as delicious as I remembered! We had the puff pastry, a fried oyster special, the much-touted gnocchi, and the Cuban madame. Everything was excellent including the fries with the sandwich. The gnocchi lived up to the hype and was very decadent. The puff pastry insides had a great flavor- the outer shell was a smidge burnt for my taste. Service was lovely and the rooms are sunny and cheerful."
"I cannot give this place enough stars. The name seems so mundane, like it's a little sandwich shop, but it is so much more. We're visiting from out of town, and stumbled upon it on our way out and it was probably some of the best food I've ever had: just totally fresh, well made, thought out, and delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meal. We want to come back and eat again and again, but sadly, we'll have to wait until the next time we come through. Highly recommend."
"We picked this place out on a whim as the reviews were amazing. We came in with our littles and were greeted by a smiling server. She was so bubbly and loved all options in the menu. It was hard for her to tell us her favorite. She finally decided on the French toast and she wasn't wrong. We ordered the fence toast and the shrimp tacos with eggs and were so happy with all the sweet and savory flavors. As we sat and ate, we noticed that the chef was featured in many of the exerts that were hung on the wall. We looked at the chef and saw him sitting at one of the tables in the back of the restaurant. Such a great scene when the owner is there. Amazing food, great service and flavor that will keep you wanting more."
"I ordered breakfast via Door Dash on a Sunday morning. The food was plentiful, delicious, and had a good temperature. Everything was seasoned well. I really appreciated that my food had cutlery and condiments especially since I was at a hotel. My biscuits were a lil hard on top, but middle was soft. I've never had before so not sure if it's the norm. But will try again. I look forward to giving another review based on the restaurants menu, service, ambience etc when I visit myself."
