The pancakes, beignets and vegan crab cakes are delicious and among my favorite menu items.This time I tried the vegan gumbo and I loved there being an option from traditional gumbo. The gumbo has mushrooms, yellow squash and zucchini in it. My only thing was the flavor wasn't rich enough for me.Service: I have always have a pleasant encounter with the staff at the cafe. They was polite and always answer any questions I've hadAtmosphere: Located in the French Market, it is very busy with people in and out of the market. You can order online and pickup order to avoid being in the most of some of the food traffic."

We decided to help someone less fortunate than us by buying them a meal and when the gentleman in my photo seen us giving them food, he came over across the street and gave some hot coffee to them, since it was a little chilly that night. I know it may sound like "only coffee", but to some I'm sure it's a big deal at that moment in life."

"Best breakfast place we went to when we were in New Orleans! Was a ways a way on the trolley and then you had to walk through a neighborhood but so worth it. The art on all of the walls on the inside is amazing and creates the ambiance of the place. It's more of a locals place which makes the service even better because it felt like home. We had the french toast, crawfish benedict (amazing!) and breakfast sandwich. All really great! I highly recommend coming all the way over here off the beaten path just for an amazing breakfast."

"I frequent the Daily Beet often and it's always really solid! The food is fresh, flavorful and legit healthy. My go to order is the orbit bowl though it sometimes is very rice heavy- it has vegetables, egg, a really good vinaigrette and fills me up but not too much. I pair that with the almond butter chocolate chip energy bites. Y'all these things are delicious but not too sweet! I wish they were cheaper- I think you get 2 for $4 so I don't get them every time I go. My other favorite sweet treat is the dragon fruit chia seed pudding- it's tasty but not too sweet and very filling. It's also kinda pricey so I don't get it all the time either. The service is always great- folks are friendly and will provide recommendations or explain recipes if you have dietary concerns or restrictions. The ambience is nice, it's an open space and sometimes people will bring their laptop to eat and work. They have limited outside seating, a solid playlist and it's clean, bright and inviting. Daily Beet will continue to be my downtown go to place for healthy, fresh, good food!"

I feel sad, I feel happier and not guilty. The Queen of the menu for me is the Baked Eggs in Brioche. The perfect amount of butter, cream with eggs within house baked brioche. Oh thank you to all and any god of present or past times. This is the nicest coziest breakfast that just makes you feel like you've been whisked off to a Parisian Cafe. It comes with a little cup of season fruits and paired with a cup of coffee it is the perfect breakfast in my humble opinion. However, their quiche wedges are a solid second for me too. Everything is delicious and having tried a sampling of their dessert and pastry platters, I can say, lots of love is put into every bite at Tartine"

"Gosh this was a hard review to write or even number. The employees are nice and friendly and I love the ambience. It's got a great outdoors area with tables and is just such a fun place. However, the two things I tried did not make me a fan. And that's the problem. I started out with the mushroom sandwich and I'd have loved it (I think) except for the peppers. As in hot peppers, and the menu doesn't say that there are peppers. Excited for my mouth catching for I really like the sandwich. So when I returned it I had to come up with something I wanted to eat. That just was such a compromise that I didn't like it. And we had to adjust it because of my being pescatarian. So it was doomed to failure. They do have some cool breakfast items and I plan to come back and will revisit this review then."

"I went here with a group of 16. They were able to accommodate us with a reservation the day of. They allotted one server for our table which ended up not being too bad. Holy moly the oysters are HUGE and tasty with the bread. You have to get the oysters. Most meals come with a salad of your choice between house or Caesar. The stuffed mushrooms were a great add on for appetizers. I got the norman, it was a cozy meal with really large shrimp. I personally would've liked something more spicy. The gator bites were huge as well and fresh. I recommend if you're trying to get some Louisiana cuisine in the area."

"How much do I like Dot's Diner?When I visit New Orleans, I'm often a guest of Harrah's Casino, who provide me with transportation between their property and the airport in Kenner. More than once, on my way out of town, I've paid my driver a substantial tip to stop at Dot's on Williams Blvd. before we reached MSY, so I could enjoy an unplanned one-more-last-good-meal.Eggs, pancakes, breakfast meats and good coffee are obvious choices, but Dot's does more: their kitchen, which I suspect it haunted by someone's cher tante, turns out home-style Southeastern Louisiana fare that stands with the best such dishes served in da Parish.Is Dot's in Kenner convenient? Not unless you're already in the area. Is it fast? Depends on the day, and time of day. But Dot's food is very good, and it's inexpensive, even when you add in the monster tip required to convince your driver to abandon his schedule. There's value in those things."

It was hard for her to tell us her favorite. She finally decided on the French toast and she wasn't wrong. We ordered the fence toast and the shrimp tacos with eggs and were so happy with all the sweet and savory flavors. As we sat and ate, we noticed that the chef was featured in many of the exerts that were hung on the wall. We looked at the chef and saw him sitting at one of the tables in the back of the restaurant. Such a great scene when the owner is there. Amazing food, great service and flavor that will keep you wanting more."
