"From a purely aesthetics point of view, Peacock Room is perfection with its namesake vivid dark blue walls and velvet settees, gold and copper accents, gilded cages and fringed lamps. I just want to curl up with some bubbles and a book and never leave.I probably couldn't afford to do that, though. Prices here are comparable to those in New York City, with a 15-24 dollar price range for most wines and cocktails. And I might be a little hungry because it appears that hummus and vegetables might be the only vegan option. That said, oh, the sumptuous surroundings beckon and I'll be back."
"This coffee place a bit removed from downtown New Orleans offers a small market with produce and some house beverages in robust tall boy cans that seem like more than anyone should be drinking at one time. Their fresh pastries and beverage options were robust, with most special dietary needs covered. I got their version of a pop tart, and a chai. I was reassured that I wasn't the only one there ordering a chai. Both items were very sweet, and I saw someone hauling bags of Domino's sugar in. The overall flavor of the chai, however was excellent, and I liked my fruity pastry as well. It's likely a quick stop on the way to somewhere else, though there were a few places to sit. Ordering online in advance seemed wise as I did have to wait a bit."
"Great place. Great employees. Great Po-Boys. Great grocery prices. Love it all. Perfect atmosphere outside to sit and enjoy day."
"Hank's pulled through for late night delivery when another place cancelled our order an hour passed the time that it was placed!I got the fried shrimp po boy and there were big, juicy, seasoned shrimp in every bite. The lettuce, tomato and mayo only created a fresh and creamy bed for the shrimps but did not take away from the main feature of the sandwich. The bread itself was also substantial and did it's job to tuck in the fried shrimp goodness.Definitely consider Hank's for your late night order."
"Cool spot to check out some college football. Especially Tulane games, it's the spot you'll see all the fans from other states before the game."

This was another spot on my list after doing my NOLA research -- super glad we were able to stop in for a drink! They were pretty busy and we had to wait a hot minute for a spot, but they squeezed us in and we enjoyed one very delicious drink before they closed for the night.Very bougie and fun vibe here -- it was absolutely gorgeous in this spot and right up my alley. My girlfriend and I had a phenomenal Reposado Espresso Martini, my hubby had a glass of Prosecco and my friend's hubby had a classic domestic beer. There's literally something for everyone here and they're happy to serve it. It was a little pricy - as expected - but worth it. I'd recommend popping in for a treat and enjoying the immaculate vibes this place has to offer. Cheers!

Love this place. Great coffee with creative drinks. It's the science behind coffee. Try the vanilla latte

Wow! I really thought I liked the shrimp Poboy, until I tried the Philly beef. Without a doubt, my new favorite. Blows Verde Mart out of the water. You gotta check it out.

I typically come here for the Tulane away football games. The chicken tenders are very good along with the waffle fries. The loaded fries are fun. Wings are good. Been a while since I had a burger, so I guess I will get one next time. Service is good and the ambiance can't be beat for a TU game.

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant on the Westbank (best bank). The service is always friendly, accurate and prompt. The food is always consistently great, huge portions and reasonably priced. There is always enough leftovers for lunch the next day. If I have to make a complaint, it would have to be that the portion of lettuce, tomatoes, guacamole and sour cream is very small in proportion to the grilled fajitas that I always order. This is a small error that could easily be corrected if the owners/management would glance at the dinners going out on the floor.

So pleased to see that my last review may have inspired these guys to paint their building! I was so tired of driving by vulgar graffiti everyday! Good job!

"8/21. I've eaten here 4 or 5 times, with results of 3 to 4 stars. The spicy burrito with chili con carne on top is delicious. The jalapeños poppers are really good. Their guacamole is pretty good too. More recently, I did a take out for a few ítems. Their caesar salad was awesome, with avocado. I had Their enchiladas which are kind of tasty, too. Beans and rice ...average..Here's what I had a problem with. Their picadillo, or hamburger as the server said, is not good. They use it in tacos, and burritos, and enchiladas and the times I've had it its not good. Here's why: its over salted and underseasoned. Its probably made in bulk and reheated as needed. Looked too dark, and the consistency is mushy. It should have garlic, onion, chili's, and cumin, and you can't taste any of that. Just salt. It's a nice place, friendly servers. More attention needs to be paid to the seasoning of food this is supposed to be."
"I keep going back to Mulberry for their tunacado - it is seriously so good! The sourdough is toasted to crunch perfection and I love the incorporation of dill in the tuna salad! Service staff is very friendly and quick. And I like getting to shop around the market while I wait!"
"My neighborhood "corner store"! I shop at Esplanade Food Mart weekly. My go to place for champagne, gummy bears, and last minute items such as eggs, trash bags, candles. I live down the street, so the convenience couldn't be better, but the family oriented customer service is why I'm a regular. Mr. Mike and his three sons are good natured and welcoming to their customers. Amir (my boy!) offers a word or two of encouragement during checkout. ATM inside $3 fee. You can also buy the usual liquor, lotto tickets, milk or a made to order shawarma. A strict and reinforced no loitering policy, which is comforting to any female shopper. When traveling down Esplanade Ave stop by, tell them Ashley sent you!"
"We have only been on warm sunny days and sat outside quaffing wine and listening to music and enjoying conversation. Pick out your food and wine and sit back. Like being in your backyard but without the hard work of entertaining. the only place we have ever been that servers Sardines on Toast, one of Pablo's favorites.Of the beaten track. Take an Uber or enjoy a long stroll."
