"The muffa-nadda was terrific! Best vegan one I have had so far! Super nice guy at counter since it was our first time, ever got some bread to go! We sat outside since it's been so beautiful lately! Sipped on a chai cold latte and matcha. Cannot wait to go back to try something else!"

"Satsuma is one of my favorite breakfast places in the city. There coffee is perfection! The food offering range from healthy to decadent with my favorites being the green sandwich and brunch specials like todays with pork and potato hash with lots of veggies, topped with two eggs and a big biscuit with homemade jam. Always a treat but nourishing too."
"It's a 5 for me dawg! Not my first time here but my first review. This 5 is for everything thing all rolled into one aka body of work not just one experience. You may go one day and they are out of hash or good too late and there is no food. Even the credit card machine could be down. It may be crowded but the line moves fast and the people working serve you with a smile. *le sigh* I am hopping ya'll to another one of my go to hidden gems in NOLA. Pro tip: They open at 6am. Go early. The earlier the better. True. You can DoorDash and the like but do it early! Some of you ask asking what is a buttermilk drop? For the uninitiated think of a big donut hole at the top of its game glazed to perfection. What else do you get? The bakery is on one side. The savory food on the other. Whatever you want for breakfast is available. Grits (no sugar, please. In how reviews with grits have I said this?), eggs, bacon, turkey sausage, fried chicken, breakfast rice. Yes! Breakfast rice. It saves lives! In the simplest of terms and for descriptive purposes only think of friend rice. Got the picture? Take out the carrots and peas. Add green onions and bits of link sausage, ground sausage, maybe bacon? Check out the picture. This deliciousness fixes whatever ails you from the night before. Speaking of pics, I know. You can hear the crunch on the chicken right? Tastes as good as it looks. Just a wee hint of spice. I didn't get a pic of a buttermilk drop (use ya googles) but I did get a pic of my Apple fritter. Big enough to share but I am not. Pro tip 2: Bring ya patience and your manners with you to the 7th ward. The Buttermilk Drop isn't some glorified tourist trap."
"Delicious German food and beer. The restaurant has the feel of a German beer garden. The staff are friendly. German stuff adorns the walls."
"They have a delicious breakfast biscuit sandwich here! The vibe is super cozy with a cat sleeping next to a grandma who is knitting near the entrance!Solid iced coffee and hot coffee as well."
"Cute little coffee shop with tables to sit and enjoy your cup or work. Service was friendly. The coffee was great and they made great thin but gooey chocolate chip cookies. Love them."
"Wonderful food. Wonderful staff. Visiting from Chicago and found Breads on Oak.Had a breakfast sandwich and a pastry. Both were great."
"So good! The atmosphere is amazing and the cakes are even better. Service is friendly and competent. Will be back everytime I'm in OS!"
"Amazing. My favorite bakery. Just come here. I love the lunch options and can't leave without a dessert (or 6 macarons lol). Absolutely the best! Pretty sure I already have a review for Les Amis so no need to add to my wordiness."
"This coffee place a bit removed from downtown New Orleans offers a small market with produce and some house beverages in robust tall boy cans that seem like more than anyone should be drinking at one time. Their fresh pastries and beverage options were robust, with most special dietary needs covered. I got their version of a pop tart, and a chai. I was reassured that I wasn't the only one there ordering a chai. Both items were very sweet, and I saw someone hauling bags of Domino's sugar in. The overall flavor of the chai, however was excellent, and I liked my fruity pastry as well. It's likely a quick stop on the way to somewhere else, though there were a few places to sit. Ordering online in advance seemed wise as I did have to wait a bit."
"Walked in to a nice display of French pastries. Wanted to see if we could order drinks but they only had coffee in the carafe and an out of order Coke vending machine. We wanted to sit in and eat our pastries because we didn't think they'd hold up in the heat in the car.Got a couple of Napoleon's, an éclair, a fruit tart and a strawberry shortcake. All was delicious and the fruit tasted so fresh. The facility is really set up for production and they must cater to businesses and special orders. Would definitely visit again."

I went to Breads for the first time this morning. I walked and it smelled so delicious and fresh. The woman behind the counter was very helpful and educated me on the "discount" bread for sale. This bread was baked yesterday but didn't sell so it was on sale for cheap today. I got a ton of bread for $6 and it was super tasty. I will be a frequent from now on.

Our Airbnb was a 5 minute walk to this place making it very convenient to stop here for coffee and a quick bite before a day of sightseeing. We ordered lattes for our caffeine fix, a breakfast sandwich, and a quiche. The lattes were excellent. I ordered mine with caramel so it was on the sweeter side, but definitely worth a try. My partner ordered a breakfast sandwich, the one she ordered only had egg and cheese on it, she didn't realize it, they are very generous with the egg and the sandwich is delicious, but my partner tends to get sick when she eats too much egg. I got the Quiche Lorraine, It was a very generous piece of Quiche. It was tasty and filling, it kept me full for most of the day. They also have a huge selection of hot sauce, it was nice to pick a few and try new ones that I hadn't seen before. This place was pretty busy, but they got the orders out fast. If you're in the area and in need of caffeine, stop by here.

For a hearty breakfast, go to this takeout-only, no-frills bakery inside a bare space. The people who create and sell the food are friendly and patient. From chicken and waffles to coffee, they have it all. I ordered a bag of $12 buttermilk donut holes for $2.50. The donut holes were sweet and large. They take credit cards.

I tried the pork knuckle. It was good but expensive at $29. It could have been a bit crispier. It came with good sauerkraut but with Gulden's mustard. They should make their own Bavarian mustard. Service was prompt. Lots of outdoor seating so this is a great spot on a beautiful day. It's a nice funky spot. Plenty of on-street parking. Might be back for a brat.

Absolutely delicious. We were in NOLA for three days, and went here every morning. Their coffee is REALLY good, and their pastries and sandwiches are amazing. Super cute space and great service. Wish this place was in Phoenix--I would go all the time! Highly recommend!!

Delicious vegan food! I got the biscuit tower one morning and then came back and got the Egg O'Vegan the next. The sausage on the biscuit tower was a bit soft for my liking so I preferred the egg o'vegan but both were great! Such a fluffy biscuit and great vegan egg. Then we came back for lunch and I got the TLTA (Tempeh Lettuce Tomato Avo), which was also great but was missing the lettuce. The vegan king cake slice stole the show though, so excellent! Also their chai was amazing, perfectly spiced for my liking. The staff was friendly and the place is very cute and welcoming, though I mostly got my food to-go. Overall I highly recommend!

"I have no words for these glazed beignets! They are amazing. They bring them out hot and ready! My daughter describes them as a Shipley donut and a powdered beignet having a baby!!! They literally melt in your mouth. The parking is good. The facility is nice. The customer service is mehhhh... But I will be back regardless!!"
"Debbie on the levee!I went in before work, I'm so happy I did! I was greeted with smiling faces! Opens at 7am! 10/10 BBLT Beignet Bacon Lettuce TomatoIced Brew #breakfast #lunch #happyhour #blt"
"I have a sweet tooth, which is a really big problem for me. The cookies from Crumbl don't help much with the nutritional plan I'm suppose to follow. These cookies are large and delicious. I try to split my calories into days by only eating 1/4 of two cookies. I also try to share with others. All of that to say, these cookies are wonderful and I wish I could try the new flavors every week.I ordered ahead, arrived and went inside. I still a small wait so I walked over to the store. When I went back to retrieve my order, the young lady saw me coming and greeted me with the order. Everyone seemed pleasant and the store was clean. I love the set up. You are able to see everything being done. I also like the kiosk. Overall great experience. I forgot to take a pic before zi started inhaling them. This is what is left (no, I didn't eat them all by myself; lol)!"
"I have been here multiple times. The staff is always super friendly and super efficient. If my daughter has a good week at school it's always her go to treat. The cookies are good but most of the time they are too sweet for me. However my daughter loves them. I just wish they had a sitting area"
"So i stopped coming here after I had a few items that didn't seem to be freshly made. I was in the mood for sweets today, puff pastry to be exact. I ordered the last fruit tart and it did not disappoint. I did feel like the some of the top and bottom layers were a little too browned to my liking. I just ate around it with no problems. The flavor of the cream was perfect, not too sweet or too thick. I would love the bakery to showcase more puff pastry goods such as croissants or Napoleons."
"Super friendly staff and tasty pastries. Loved the Russian Petite Four. So good. Also quick service"
"My wife and I think this is the best king cake. I know everyone has their opinion, but if you have a chance to try theirs, you will not be disappointed."
"Decided to visit a long time favorite. Growing up my parents would purchase desserts from Gambino's, now as an adult I do the same. Came by to get a few desserts which included cake and cake slices. The choices were very good. The service was quick and easy. The atmosphere was pleasant and warm. Reminded me of how it used to be when I was a child. You can place and order for certain desserts and come pick up at a later time, but if you would like to just have a quick sweet treat, there is a variety of items located in the showcase where you could purchase for minimum prices."
"King cakes are everywhere around here, but the ones from Sugar Love are the best! Peak time is during the Mardi Gras season, but they make them year round, decorated for the seasons. They sell smaller chunks of King-Cake-on-a-stick that are fun. The staff are friendly. The store gets busy at times so if you are in a crunch you should call ahead. They will let you order pastries on line and schedule a pickup on some future date."
"Went here for the first time tonight, there was a server who said it was her second day and another lady who I'm not sure if she was the owner or the manager but they were both very sweet and helpful and provided great service! This place serves breakfast and baked goods 24/7, which is rare to find in the city. The prices were really good too! I got two donuts and they were delicious and satisfied my cravings for the night!"
"Love this place. It's a bakery with Pho and other great Vietnamese cuisine. The crawfish pie is to die for. Have to get there early because they go go go. The folks are friendly and accommodating. Yes, the baked good are fresh and sooooo good. Just don't let my doctor know. Remember to support your local busines"
"I haven't had Sam's donuts in a while because I don't have to travel that way for work anymore. However , last weekend I wanted some donuts and I remembered this place and they have not changed the donuts are soooo good! Not to thick and bready and not to thin either. Now mind you there is a line because they are only operating via drive thru for now. The line moves fast and the donuts are still warm when you get them.I had donuts 2 days in a row..... and I'll be back"
"I'm so happy we stumbled upon this little gem! They are very allergy friendly, while still providing some of the best traditional plates. Fun art, amazing customer service and the food *Chefs kiss* I wish Yelp would let me upload all the photos."
"Smells delicious- best donuts and other sweets. Out of sweet potato pie today, but I bet it's good!!!!"
"The food is so very freshly made and delicious. The service is amazing. The atmosphere is great and inviting."
"I have been to this location multiple times. The best donuts in town, and great selections. Service is very nice and friendly. Food always fresh."
"Awesome donuts and amazing service!!! The couple running the bakery are super friendly and so kind. I got a variety of donuts to bring to clients and they loved them all. The bear claws and apple fritters are HUGE and delicious. They also let you select the type of cream filling and everything is super fresh. I will definitely go back to try the kolaches and support this business since it's so close and convenient to home. Give them a try and you will not be disappointed!"
"I've been here 3 times already. The steak sandwich is one of my favorite sandwiches in the city. The coconut yuka shrimp soup is good. The salads are delicious with dressing I can't get anywhere else. People are nice, friendly, and are very informative."
"This bakery is the best I've ever been too! The cakes we ordered for my son and husbands birthday are literally the best we have ever tasted! The design is incredible! See the pictures ~ no one could ever make these taste as good as they look ~ and they more than did! Best ever! The ordering process is also the easiest ~ I described what I had in mind and they went above my expectations ~ just amazing!"
"What a quaint and personable cafe. Service and food were top-notch. Stopped here for lunch on the recommendation of our daughter. Was told they are also opened for breakfast. Will definitely come again next time in the area."
"Stopped in while traveling to pickup a gift for one of my clients. The office loved it! I made sure to get the cookie cutter too, makes the portion sizes reasonable."
"My friend and I visited this location twice in one day; once for gift cards and once for cookies. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We easily procured the gift cards and later that night decided to go back for cookies. We ended up getting a four pack of cookies. I can't speak for the flavors too directly because they change all the time, but we did get the original chocolate chip and honestly.... It wasn't that good. Of the 4 flavors we got the chocolate chip was my least favorite. So I would honestly skip that one if you notice a flavor you'd rather try. Otherwise the other flavors were awesome. Will definitely be back!"
"I took my Sweet Freak Friend into the bakery so she could choose her own birthday treats. Let me tell you how excited my friend was and how relieved I am not to have had to choose a Birthday Cale for her! My friend sayid it was the best birthday Gordy she had ever received. Four days on the beach, touring the local art/curio shops in Bay St Louis and then topping it off with allowing her the choice of her indulgences! So glad she shared.... this is a no brained for next year. Ha haWe/she chose delightful cupcakes, a unique King Cake with flaky dough filled with cream and a small Red Velvet cake! I think she would drive from Mew Orleans and visit just to have the opportunity to visit Susan's Sweet Shop on her way home!"
