"I don't know why I haven't written a review sooner because this is one of my all-time favorite breakfast places. The food is outstanding and so are the prices. While eating out these days almost requires a home equity loan, you can get a fantastic breakfast and still walk out with money in your pocket.Yesterday, my son and I went there, and he had steak and eggs with grits, and I had a lump crabmeat (a lot) Benedict for less than $40. That crab Benedict, along with the salmon Benedict and the lump crabmeat omelet, are three of my favorites. But, everything is fantastic and the service is as well. If you've never been, then now is the time."
"My favorites here are: The burger. It takes twenty minutes to cook, but it's pretty juicy and very tasty! The chicken quesadilla. It's featured as an appetizer, but you can order it as a meal. It's delicious. My friend swears by the muffuletta. It just looks amazing! It's a huge sandwich. I think two can split it. They also have daily lunch specials."

"If you haven't been here, then you are missing out! If you are on a diet or ready to splurge a little, 531 Liberty has got you covered! Love their Bacon Jam Burger and a side of Brussel sprouts made like the appetizer! They have nice spiked seltzer types of drinks and daily lunch specials. Great service. Very cool seating area. Head over there ASAP!"
"According to our fishing guide, Jimmy, this is a hot spot for dining in the Port Sulphur area. I give this restaurant a 3.5. We stopped in here late one afternoon to give it a try. You'll find a few dining tables on the small outside deck and limited seating inside. It has the feel of a double wide trailer turned into a restaurant. What we enjoyed:*Fried shrimp and oysters were good*Gumbo was delicious*Crab cake was good but I thought the accompanying cheese sauce wasn't needed. Some reviewers love it and so does our fishing guide. The white cheese sauce seems more more like a Queso cheese dip at your local Mexican restaurant. What we didn't care for:*Toasted sandwich bread served with the shrimp/oysters*The side of fries*The foul mouthed employees. I agree with reviewer Holly B on this one."
"Previous reviews had me a little skeptical of the place. I had the BZ Homestyle burger on an onion bun with a side of chili cheese tater tots and small fountain drink. 1. BIG burger with cheese, grilled onions, bacon, lettuce, tomato, pickles, mayo. Very good, ginormous burger. 2. Tater tots with chili and cheese were good, just wanted more with the order. Lots of chili and cheese. 3. They have the good crushed ice with their drinks ( like Sonic). Good service, good burger, good prices, clean establishment. I will be back."
"very, very good food. a definate go to when visiting my daughter who attends Southern University. The Thursday oxtail special OMG!!! the greens and yams! the chicken wings and onion rings! Sinfully delicious! I almost passed out I was so stuffed. I couldn't stop eating!!! Will definitely come again and will absolutely tell my people in Cali this is the spot to come to when visiting!"
"Friendly service. Mediocre food. Nice to be able to sit outside at picnic tables. Very local feel. Food took a little time to come out and appetizers came out at same time as main meal."
"First time going here on Mother's Day. It was packed(over an hr wait) but we snagged a table outside. They had a bar set up outside to get a drink while you wait. It's the most precious place near the lakefront. The owner Leeam is so nice and very hospitable. All the food was absolutely delicious. I got the crab cake napoleon, my husband got the crab cake Benedict & my MIL got the redfish benny. We will be back very soon!"
"My girlfriend and I stopped in here for lunch and were pleasantly surprised by the flavor of all the food. I got the combo plate with brisket and pork and it was phenomenal. Highly recommend this place."
"Great service! Love the food. Greatest burger ever! This restaurant reminds me of the good ole days"
"First time getting something although my coworkers get Kimmy's delivered often! I'm doing WW so was able to get my California chicken burger in a pita with a side salad! It was amazing! Will definitely be getting it again! The owner is the bomb!"
"I love to visit this place! It's so close by that I always keep this in mind while making food decisions. They have a peanut butter bacon burger that is so delicious!! My favorite type of burger since I've tried this one. The mile high burger is also a good burger to try but is very full. The strawberry smoothie was surprisingly delicious and very well made. Love this place! Try it!"

The food was incredible. I got the Eggs Louisiane and I would recommend this 10/10 times. Service was quick and came around multiple times for refills. We went in the morning and it was packed. With three amount of people, it did get a bit loud but overall experience 10/10.

This is one of those rare places that are in a small town that knows how to bring the mojo of food flavor. Home cooked style just plain good. I will definitely be back. Thank you Port Sulphur and your gravy fries.

Besides the long line during lunch, there is absolutely nothing negative to say about this place! Their spicy chicken dinner is so yummy and fresh. For a lighter choice they have the spicy grilled chicken salad, ask for the peppers fried!! I think their honey mustard dressing is even homemade!!

Kountry Kitchen is right. "Don't judge a book by its cover." Its a great little "hole in the wall" so if you're looking for "ambience" - move on. But if you like good, homemade fresh cooking, then pull up a chair and pick from the hot food bar. Had meatloaf and mashed potatoes and for a moment, I was at my Grandmother's table. Yummy!

Must be 18 to enter. Menu is on board when you walk in. Self seating. Food took a while but it was pretty good. We had Shrimp Po Boy and Bacon Cheeseburger with crinkle fries. The decor and dining area was clean. One stall in the ladies bathroom didn't have a lock but it was clean as well. Must be 21 to play Poker machines.

Great spot for Breakfast and/or Lunch in Old Mandeville. Excellent food and service, great owners and staff and La Lou has been a favorite for decades when visiting the area. Whether you're looking for an Omelet, Benedict, Pancakes or a sandwhich/burger, you'll find some of the best options and freshest ingredients around. Give them a visit, you won't be sorry you did.

"A good ol' college hangout . . . I enjoyed the Ground Pat'i with cheese and a side of onion rings. The burger was quite good, with a slightly more traditional-tasting beef patty than my fav. Five Guys burger. The onion rings were perfectly prepared and hit the spot. The staff made our table of four feel right at home. We'll be back!"
"I ordered the seafood platter and it was for two we had enough food on the platter that could feed at least four people it had fries your bread fried oysters fried shrimp fried catfish they had a stuffed crab stuffed shrimp and they had two soft shell crabs the only thing that I did not like was that it salty. But it was good."
"Julie seriously loves the potato skins here. We went way out of our way for them! It's a big restaurant with a lot of seating! Walk up to the counter to order, they are good at getting your order right. It's clean but the floor could use a fresh coat of paint. It's fun they call out the customers names when their order is ready. My two complaints are 1 they cut your burger in half, and 2 they give you a glass of ice with some soda in it rather than a glass of soda with some ice in it pretty minor complaints. It's a good size menu and the food is good. Food is fresh, bathrooms are clean and plenty of parking."
"A chill, casual sports bar in Algiers Point. My friend and I stopped here mainly to grab a cold water bottle and to use their restroom. I believe it was the owner or manager that served us, didn't catch his name, but he was pleasant and helpful. Their restroom was fairly clean except there was no soap, so I had to use hand sanitizer. Their food menu looked good, just that my friend and I weren't hungry as we had ate prior to coming here and going on the ferry to visit Algiers Point, so we didn't order any food on our visit."
"Eat here. Spectacular mom & pop restaurant at the edge of Louisiana coast. Roast Beef Poboy - excellent Seafood platter - very good - a tad over-cooked but the seasoning was perfect. Seafood stuffed potato - Shrimp were perfect. Staff was amazing"
"The rockslide brownie is AMAZING. The rest of the food was good, too. But really. This dessert. I've been a few times, and the Asian chicken salad is delicious. They have a couple of different bowls that are really good - salmon and Korean steak. I prefer the salmon. Bar service is usually good, not a craft bar though."
"I go straight for the Fried Shrimp Poboy when I visit a place like this to see how they compare to my idea of the perfect poboy. The service was very fast and orderly, and the staff was super friendly. Order and pay at the counter, find a table, wait for your number to be called. The place is made to feed plenty of folks and not decorated to attract, but it's very clean and efficient."
"Fried food, had the catfish, the crawfish etoufee and crab ball things and everything was delicious. LIVE BANDWHISKEY ROW!!"
"Highly recommend checking this place out whether it be for a date night or a friend's dinner! My best friend and I checked the place out for our quarterly meet up and it did not disappoint! We did book a reservation, even though we went for lunch just to be safe. They did mention that reservations were needed for the weekend. The restaurant is divided into two parts. One side is a cocktail bar that has a piano player several nights a week and a great fireplace to sit by and the other side is the restaurant. From the decor to the service, everything was completely outstanding.I highly recommend getting the brussels sprouts for a starter. Even if you were not a brussels sprout fan this place will make you become one!I got the lobster gnocchi and it definitely had a lot of lobster, but I probably would not recommend it. My friend got the steak and truffle fries, and it was completely outstanding! Our waiter was Chris and it was his first week and you would have never noticed because he was completely amazing! The parking here is a little wonky. You can park under the overpass by the supermarket across the street and just walk over.Overall, a great addition for the area and will certainly be back when I'm in town!"
"I honestly had never heard of the Courthouse Cafe until recently. My experience included being escorted from across the street by some nice JPSO deputies and dining in the private room in the back. The service was super efficient, taking 14 orders and serving us our drinks, salads, entrees, and even some pie slices to-go in record time. While I settled on a salad, and it was tasty, I was drooling over the fried shrimp & fish that my companions had ordered. It looked amazing - and they agreed that it was. It was also a HUGE portion and most brought back leftovers. Looking at the menu, the prices seem completely reasonable, and worth a repeat trip the next time I find myself in Gretna."
"Love Cafe Navarre! Have always had a great meal. Food is delicious, servers are always friendly and the atmosphere, laid back. Eat outside if you are able to!"
""Beautiful bar/lounge area, juicy burgers and panini sandwiches". 18 & over only restaurant/bar. It definitely looked like and "Ice House" as soon as I walked in with the use of the icy blue colors as the overall theme of the restaurant-bar. I have been a couple times and love the atmosphere. Their flagship menu item is the "KP Burger" and that was quite impressive... never had anything like it. If you love philly cheese steak and burgers, well this comes as a no-brainer... they are combined in this entree and blend harmoniously well! As for sandwiches, the Louisiana Grilled Cheese is another favorite and I loved it though I will have to be back during the height of crawfish season because instead of shrimp, it's crawfish! During my first visit, the servers were on top of things and very pro-active; however, during my last visit, the server neglected to acknowledge the Yelp check-in offer. She was asked - once by me and twice by the friend I was with. So that was the only flaw. Other than that, this is a great place for post-work cocktails, happy hour, late night bites and a fun place to chillax. There is a huge outdoor patio area and the indoor lounge space is perfect for larger groups!* Baton Rouge bar and grill * Baton Rouge happy hour spot * Huge lounge area * huge bar area * Burgers * Paninis * Sandwiches * 18 and over *"
"I am staying here at holiday inn express teaching in the area. Wanted to eat somewhere close and watch some football and work on the computer. Sports Pub&Grill was perfect. Atmosphere and food were fantastic, my server, Kaitlynn was outstanding. She worked her ass off for everyone seated and did not slow down. I asked for recommendations off then menu and was not disappointed with to soup special and chicken sandwich! Fantastic experience and I will be back!"
"It was getting late and we (Big Bro, Hubbers and me) decided to stop at one more place for a nightcap. We got pulled here because of the live band playing a song we were all familiar with. This place is deceivingly big! One would expect its space ending at the bar, but nope... there's a whole foyer in the back if your ears need a bit of rest. Bathrooms are located back there, too (and it's one of the cleaner bar bathrooms I've been to compared to the many bars I hit while in NOLA.) Drinks are fairly priced and they are generous with the amount of alcohol in my cocktails! Bartender was nice, so with the bouncer. We liked it here so much we came back once more a couple of days later. Good times! Will be back!"
"I have a motorcycle. I like to cruise with a destination. And Fred's seems like a great place to stop for refreshment on a hot day. Before the floods this place was a total biker bar. A divey, gritty, awesome spot that was perfect in its way.Sadly, the floods washed away the grit. The new Fred's is lovely, rebuilt, shiny. I have no real complaints about the remodel, but it lost a lot of that biker-atmosphere.Bartenders are nice. The view of the river is awesome. They have music on the weekends and it's cool to hang on the patio, have some drinks and relax. Prices are good too.If you're hungry, you can get a menu at the bar. But you have to call the phone number on the menu - the restaurant is at the shop in a different building. There is table service, but it's kinda slow. Best option is to walk up to the store yourself and be your own waiter.I don't hate the new Fred's, but I do miss what the old Fred's represented: a little back-water hideaway for those of us who wanted a little low-brow atmosphere."
"OK y'all so we going to start from the bottom(the bad)and work our way up(the good). If you know anything about ownership then you know that Master P (A former hip hop artist) is part owner of this establishment. With that being said, most people would expected the appearance of this restaura nt to be alluring but it was nothing of the sort. The paint job was a sight for sore eyes and the floors looked as though they had not been polished since the first day of business. I decided to try their chicken and waffles which were great!....if I was only going to look at them. After that first bite I realized how true the saying",looks can be deceiving" was. The waffles were dry a taste like they came out of the freezer. And the chicken fingers were as bland as a bowl of rocks. They waiter( who was awesome by the way) allowed me to replace my order with another meal from the menu! This time I decided to try a Big Poppa bacon cheese burger. This cheeseburger was by far one of the best cheese burgers I have ever had!!!!!! The beef was seasoned to perfection. And they also gave you regular bacon and deep fried bacon on your burger! The fries were fresh and hot!. The customer service here was superb."
"Love this place...we stop here every time we make the trip to Baton Rouge as a rest stop. Food is great, staff is great, AYCD mimosas are great...and for some reason this location is always slow, so rarely a wait. Get there!"
"This is our favorite little spot in Bay St Louis. The upstairs bar and balcony are perfect for date night. Food and drinks are always good. I will post photos next time we go. The servers are always very sweet and go above and beyond."
"Usually always good. I'm gonna deduct a point though for a burrito which was swimming in a watery pool on the plate. It was more than just the runoff from cooked meat. It was very watery under the burrito. Anyway, out of a good number of visits here, still my favorite Mexican place on the Thomas/190 in Hammond. Still great tasting food. My kids ate it up too. Pamela the server is my fav. Always polite and nice to talk with."
"Love this place , great food , great service , Bar area and a few outdoor tables for some fresh air"
""Can't go to mom's, come to Dad's". This is just the type of meals and ambiance you should expect upon entering the unmarked parking area and walking into the dining area of picnic tables. On most days you will find friends and family huddled over a pile of crawfish and laughing over a cold beer. Needless to say the poboys are good and the crawfish are better.A little know fact about Dad's: THE SERVE BREAKFAST!! I proclaim this fact because many assume only one business in the 15-mile radius does so.The only negative I experience was the single hot sausage patty in my PoBoy while the other sandwiches are overflowing."
"The food was hot and delicious. We ate outside the staff was very far and accommodating. I'll definitely be back."
"Seasoned home cooked food with very friendly service!! Call early if you want to eat it for lunch. The plates sell fast!"
