"We were visiting from Oregon and my mom wanted some good southern food. This place is highly rated so we decided to check it out. We were starving so we decided to start with the appetizer of fried mushrooms. Then I ordered a club sandwich and my mom got the catfish with gumbo and hush puppies (doesn't get any more southern than that!). We decided to share the bread pudding with bourbon sauce for dessert. Everything was delicious! Our server was very friendly and food came out quickly!"
"Amazing breakfast/ brunch spot. The staff is extremely friendly and very accommodating. The food was made so quickly! We ordered fresh orange juice, coffee and a make your own omelette with jam, bacon and cheese and it was unreal. Big portions, which is always a great sign. I recommend getting the side of roasted potatoes, so good!!! In our four day visit to NOLA we ate here twice because it was that great!"

"Solid place! They had a great selection of drinks and the atmosphere is so fun. Do patio if you can, it really feels like you're at a backyard barbecue in the best way.Food is decent, small selection, and a bit heavy . Definitely a place I would go again, especially if they were doing some sort of fun event. And don't miss that scorpion shot!"
"Excellent burger. First time there but will definitely be back. Very nice staff. Loved the change of scenery."
"Brunch was delicious! We had a French toast and eggs. One of the best French toast I have had as well as the coffee is strong. Owner of the restaurant is present and has great customer service."
"My friend and I were walking down Frenchman and heard some incredible music coming from this place, so we stopped in. There was a live band playing and the female singer had an amazing voice. They performed a great rendition of "House of the Rising Sun." Unfortunately, we arrived at the end of their set, so we didn't stay long. However, even though the place was packed we were escorted to a table near the stage and a server showed up right away with menus & water. I ordered a cocktail to go and left a good tip. The food looked yummy, and my drink was tasty. The place is spacious. I will return, and hopefully that band will be playing again so I can catch their full set."
"Best sliders in the area! Love the fact that you can mix and match them in a combo. There may be a bit of a wait in drive-thru but the inside moves at a quicker pace. The drinks are self-serving and they offer an array of sauces. The fries are always fresh and the milkshakes come highly recommended. The dining area is a decent size but the parking lot is on the smaller size. There's kiosks and cashiers to assist with ordering. All in all a damn good burger spot!"
"Tons of interesting drafts on tap? Check!Friendly staff? Check!Great looking bar? Check!Cool outdoor shaded patio? Check!Good food? Nope. Sorry. Nope. We arrived here right from the airport. Luggage and all. The bartender said she was also from Pittsburgh. We chatted briefly. Ordered a draft each and sat down. The beers were good. The selection was really great for drafts and bottles. The drafts change frequently, the lines are clean and it shows! This reminds me of an old english pub back here in the 'Burgh. I really enjoyed myself. We ordered some food, but it was not very good. Kind of "restaurant depot" basic, freezer into the fryer type. Pop in a for a beer. Eat elsewhere."
"This is a local restaurant with in and outside dining. Everything is well maintained and the toilets are clean. The fried jalapeños is a good appetizer to get. The batter really clung, making them all crunchy. We only got one little thing of ranch, two would have been best.We got the seafood platter and a soft shell crab. Everything had lots of batter making for a crunch. The crab, oysters, and something unidentifiable was a little too under cooked for my preference.Everyone here seems local nice and friendly.Foutunefishco.net made a delivery as we left."
"This place wasn't horribly bad but it wasn't that great either. It seemed like they only had one server working and he was doing his best. This venue is pretty small but I like the cozy feeling. I ordered the biscuits and gravy, benedicts, hashbrowns, and grits. The biscuits and gravy were the best part of the meal. Plenty of sausage in the gravy. You can tell the hashbrowns are cooked with a ton of oil. I wish they added seasoning to the hashbrowns. Grits were decent. The benedicts were horrible. Mine were cold and the meat was tough.I am being kind because they had one server and he was trying his best. My food could have been cold because we were in a large party and they were slammed at the time. They still need to do better with time management."
"Service was good. Food was decent . A bit messy for me. Bun was sweet like Hawaiian bread. We sat in an odd booth. Wasn't particularly comfortable. it wasn't busy yet we got put in a corner type booth with a post in the way, what an odd seating arrangement."
"Dining in was definitely a better experience! We got there right before they opened on a Saturday, so no crowds. I got the brisket chili with a side of cornbread as my meal. The chili was packed with meat, and the cornbread was a whole mini-loaf that came with what I think was honey butter; delicious. My mother enjoyed her burger, and my father said his brisket was both delicious and lean, in case you're one who hates fatty brisket. There are multiple outdoor tables under a good-sized awning, so there should be reliable shade for those wanting to eat outside."

The French dip sandwich was delicious and the waitress was very friendly and recommended items off the menu. The smoked tuna was also a great dish to start with. The ambiance was family friendly and not loud.

Background: Came during a bustling Mardi Gras Sunday for bunch.Pre-Service: Like all brunch spots, there is a 20-40 min wait if busy because they don't do reservations (thankfully) so that's expected..Service: Our Server Catrina "With a C " was simply amazing.. great energy, healthy jokes, fast service, filled drinks, all the trademarks of an amazing server.. Ask for CATRINA.. I'm telling youFood: Amazingly tasting Breakfast pi-Boy with mouth melting cheesy grits on the side w/Bacon. I was full with 1/2 the sandwich but it was so good I forced myself to finish the restOverall: 10/10 all things considered.. would love to come back when in town.... Great experience..

After dinner and drinks at a lounge, we headed back to Lucy's to celebrate my birthday. We stayed at the Renaissance across the street making this the perfect spot to go out and not worry about having to take an Uber/Lyft or drive back. The food is so-so. The drinks, people and party atmosphere are really the highlights here. The scene is a mix of locals, tourists and college kids. Game days, along with Friday and Saturday nights tend to be the busiest. The first floor is mainly the bar/restaurant/giftshop and the second floor is called the Attic. The Attic is a separate space which can be rented out for private events. When not used for events, the Attic is the dance section on the second floor with DJ and bar on select nights (Friday and Saturday). The music was good and depending on the themed drink you order, you can take the props that come with them (i.e. inflatable flamingos and shark).Recent years they've added the balcony which gets decent views overlooking Tchoupitoulas and Girod streets. I'm sure it's a popular spot to view the Mardi Gras parade. If you're in the Warehouse District, don't miss Lucy's.

Chimes is a cool place to hang out with or without kids. The staff is friendly and very much "on it."The bar area is a great section to watch the latest sports or just have drinks with friends. As for food, there is something for everyone. The crab and brie soup is my favorite, along with the crawfish mac and cheese. I've had many menu items and nothing has disappointed.

This place is great! The place was packed but we were seated quickly and got our drinks and food quickly as well! They have breakfast and lunch availability- this is how I ended up with pancakes and lemon drop martini!!

The performers here caught our attention while walking down Frenchmen Street, so we opted in. The band performing that night was called "The Queen and her Friendz". Wow, talk about talent! They were sooo good. They did an old school medley of 80s/90s hip-hop and it got the crowd moving. They didn't have a cover charge, but security was really stern about us buying a drink at the bar. It was a little aggressive as we were going to buy a drink anyway, but I get it. The place is really big, but most people gathered at the front as they band was there. A great jazz spot for live music on Frenchmen Street!

This is one of my burger spots in the city when I'm craving a delicious burger. I wouldn't consider it fast food because the food is always cooked hot and fresh to order. The order turn around is also pretty fast you may wait 5 mins, but you can't beat that for cooked to order food. This time around I ordered the Atomic Burger with a side of fries and spicy ketchup. The burger comes with two patties and is fully dressed with their special sauce. The burger was well seasoned and so juicy. The fries were hot and crispy and paired just right with the spicy ketchup which wasn't that spicy at all.

We just popped in here real quick for a beer, but they were so nice and quick. Asked about a few beer options and got quick answers and got served up fast. The ambiance reminds me of a good old Marine Corps tavern.

"Are you kidding a review of bears there's nothing I could say other than the best Poboy you can ever imagine. Roast beef number one shrimp number two you can even get a combination of the two you can't go wrong no matter what you order it bears, and now they have a second location in Mandeville."
"Been here what feels like a thousand times for book club dinners, moms' brunch, girls' nights, gym fam get togethers, etc. and somehow never finished a review! Great, local restaurant and bar for the south end of Baton Rouge. Always a pleasant experience. I've tried their delicious salads, poboys and sandwiches, specials on the menu including shrimp and grits, and have yet to find anything I don't love. They have a couple nice private room options for larger parties and a wonderful outdoor patio. Quickly becoming my favorite restaurant in BR."
"I ordered breakfast via Door Dash on a Sunday morning. The food was plentiful, delicious, and had a good temperature. Everything was seasoned well. I really appreciated that my food had cutlery and condiments especially since I was at a hotel. My biscuits were a lil hard on top, but middle was soft. I've never had before so not sure if it's the norm. But will try again. I look forward to giving another review based on the restaurants menu, service, ambience etc when I visit myself."
"Boswell's is always a hit, never a miss. I had the BBQ jerk chicken. It was saucy and oh so good. Mac and cheese was flavorful as well. Service was courteous and warm. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal."
"We craved wings but wanted local flair and not wings from a chain restaurant. J's Creole fit the bill and it was nearby while vacationing in NOLA. Created from shipping containers, the space is uniquely colorful and cute. The indoor dining space is really limited but they have a small covered outdoor patio. We lunched on the patio. It was calm and serene despite being near a major expressway. The wings had ample meat with marvelous flavor. I ordered a set of 8 wings with choice of 2 seasonings (Creole and Garlic Parmesan) with fries. My husband ordered boneless wings with creole and honey heat. Creole seasoning was a little sweet and unexpected however it was interesting to try. J's fruit punch was refreshing as it has a hint of pineapple. Glad we were able to try this spot. They have good food with good prices. They don't have a dedicated parking lot but spots are easy to find during weekdays on the street."
"Bistro Byronz is a Baton Rouge staple for good food and good service. This is a restaurant that is always on my go-to list, but somehow I forget to write a review! My husband and I been going to Bistro Byronz since forever and we're glad to have a Mid City location back! We rushed to our reservation for brunch yesterday cause the food is just that good! Using the Open Table, we had a short window to make it and it was well worth running out the door with one shoe on! We were greeted by nice hostess and seated on the patio per our request. Each patio table has a personal fan, which is great for this Louisiana heat! Our waiter was sooo attentive! Of course, we started with bottomless mimosas and a mocktail called Cooler Than a Cucumber (highly recommend if are taking a break from alcohol). The mocktail was super refreshing and tasty! For entrees, we both ordered the Monte Cristo with a side of fruit! This breakfast sandwich is just beyond delicious! The bread is like crispy French toast with a powdered sugar for sweetness! DELICIOUS! DELICIOUS! This may become a monthly brunch spot for us. The restaurant staff are so welcoming, family friendly atmosphere, and good food are definitely a win in my book!"
"I had mai mail w crab meat. One of best meals ive ever had. Sat at bar an service was awesome. What a great find. Id give 6 stars if i could Next New Orleans trip i will be back!Thx for great tues eve"
"I've never tried a beignet like this. It was recommended by my cousin who now likes in NOLA. It didn't disappoint. The Cajun queen beignet was so savory and flavorful I'm coming back tomorrow (lol). The sweet beignet was totally delicious. My tastebuds were dancing when I left. The Southern hospitality here was welcoming and very much appreciated. I would recommend this place."
"Always great pho. We come here often for lunch. Brisket pho is my go to. Add veggies."
"Salty Joes always has a nice atmosphere a solid food. This time, we had Noah as our server and he was super attentive. He helped us pick an appetizer and wing flavors. We got the appetizer sampler so we could try a little bit of everything. Husband got some huge plate and I got the build your own bowl with loaded potato, pork belly, and sunny side up egg on top. Overall great service and great food!"
"From the patrons making you feel welcome or the staff, you can't have a bad time here. Don't leave without eating. Loved the wings and the chili cheese fries!!!"
"I happened to stumble into this place while I was walking around, trying to find food since I barely ate all day. I was so happy I did because the food was phenomenal, as was the service. The gentleman behind the bar helped me to confirm which sandwich I wanted, despite the bar having a nice amount of people in it. This kind of attention to help the customer feel satisfied seems uncommon to me but it was so pleasantly refreshing.I got the spicy chicken Poboy sandwich and I devoured it. I even ended up coming back a couple of days later for more food to bring with me for my flight home. They were able to help me out with a food accommodation on my breakfast wrap - since I don't eat pig products, they substituted chicken for me. Everything was delicious! I will definitely come back here next time I'm in the area. I did notice that a lot of places have credit processing fees and "to-go" fees. So that's good to keep in mind."
"My son and I decided to check this spot out on a beautiful Nola day. We had previously gotten bubs before but hadn't been back in awhile. The banks location is so cute. They have the outdoor seating and then indoor seating as well. We ended up getting the bub burger and he got the microdose. You can't forget the fries! Both the burgers were delicious. The fries reminded me of McDonald's fries, but better. We sat outside, enjoyed our meal and the day. Service was great, food was great, we will be back! Another place that I can now frequent with my toddler! #winning"
"Must try the flame broiled oysters. Also the Cajun dungeons crab legs. You can also get breakfast anytime day or night."
"Got breakfast from here one morning while in vacation since it was right by our rental. Was pretty good. We just picked up so I can't really say much else but service was good."
"Found this little place by accident. It looks like a little run down shack that no one would want to eat there. Now for some good news. This place is really really awesome. The food is really amazing and some of the best we have had in a long long time. The prices are amazing. I swear, I thought it was the early 2000. The service was fast and the tables were close together. So this made it feel really homey and family friendly. All I really know is that I will always eat here when in the area."
"If you want the "going out" feeling but not with the "going out" crowds and noise, this is a good spot. Just enough buzz from the other customers, TVs and the alcohol to be mellow, plus a sweet little courtyard in the back. Food is good sturdy bar food. Sometimes you get lucky can watch a wedding reception in the venue across the street. (If you're really lucky, the person you go with will do the driving so street parking won't be an issue.)"
"A chill, casual sports bar in Algiers Point. My friend and I stopped here mainly to grab a cold water bottle and to use their restroom. I believe it was the owner or manager that served us, didn't catch his name, but he was pleasant and helpful. Their restroom was fairly clean except there was no soap, so I had to use hand sanitizer. Their food menu looked good, just that my friend and I weren't hungry as we had ate prior to coming here and going on the ferry to visit Algiers Point, so we didn't order any food on our visit."
"Traditional diner, not very diverse but good food. The waitstaff were friendly and welcoming. The menu isn't too overwhelming and it's dinner menu all day. We both got fish dishes. I had catfish, grits and fries. The fish had the perfect crunch. My husband also had a catfish dish with étouffée. He said it was a little bland but the portions were huge."
"We ordered takeout from this restaurant and was really happy with our decision! We ordered the pork chop and they zest a pasta. Both were amazing but the star of the show was the sweet potatoes. They were the perfect amount of sweetness with the perfect consistency!Great spot!"
"This is a go to late night dive bar on Magazine St. This bar is two floors and has ample seating, my favorite part is the plentiful outdoor seating upstairs on the balcony (overlooks Magazine st). I also newly discovered this spot to watch Saints games at, they have several huge tv screens both downstairs and upstairs to watch the game and a fun local crowd to cheer on our boys with! The pool table is also a nice touch for commercial breaks. The reason I didn't give this bar the full stars; however, is that it does have a dark interior and is dingy inside. Its a dive bar and that's what you get. Additionally, the bartender was outside smoking cigarettes in between customers for much of my time there last weekend making it harder to order drinks quickly. In all, a go to bar that I always look forward to hanging out at. The bouncer also checks vaccine cards as you walk in"
"Do you want to try a food that's off the beaten path and have a tremendous meal? Go to SPUDLY's! I've been going here for over 30 years and they have yet to disappoint me up to this point bid advise though! You will. Have. Lots. Of. Food! So be ready!!"
"Amazing good and service. My favorite seafood restaurant on the Northshore. You must taste their spinach and artichoke dip with the bow tie pasta, to die for! Seafood made to perfection. A true New Orleans old style with new flair restaurant. I love it."
