"I don't know why I haven't written a review sooner because this is one of my all-time favorite breakfast places. The food is outstanding and so are the prices. While eating out these days almost requires a home equity loan, you can get a fantastic breakfast and still walk out with money in your pocket.Yesterday, my son and I went there, and he had steak and eggs with grits, and I had a lump crabmeat (a lot) Benedict for less than $40. That crab Benedict, along with the salmon Benedict and the lump crabmeat omelet, are three of my favorites. But, everything is fantastic and the service is as well. If you've never been, then now is the time."

"According to our fishing guide, Jimmy, this is a hot spot for dining in the Port Sulphur area. I give this restaurant a 3.5. We stopped in here late one afternoon to give it a try. You'll find a few dining tables on the small outside deck and limited seating inside. It has the feel of a double wide trailer turned into a restaurant. What we enjoyed:*Fried shrimp and oysters were good*Gumbo was delicious*Crab cake was good but I thought the accompanying cheese sauce wasn't needed. Some reviewers love it and so does our fishing guide. The white cheese sauce seems more more like a Queso cheese dip at your local Mexican restaurant. What we didn't care for:*Toasted sandwich bread served with the shrimp/oysters*The side of fries*The foul mouthed employees. I agree with reviewer Holly B on this one."

"Previous reviews had me a little skeptical of the place. I had the BZ Homestyle burger on an onion bun with a side of chili cheese tater tots and small fountain drink. 1. BIG burger with cheese, grilled onions, bacon, lettuce, tomato, pickles, mayo. Very good, ginormous burger. 2. Tater tots with chili and cheese were good, just wanted more with the order. Lots of chili and cheese. 3. They have the good crushed ice with their drinks ( like Sonic). Good service, good burger, good prices, clean establishment. I will be back."

"First time going here on Mother's Day. It was packed(over an hr wait) but we snagged a table outside. They had a bar set up outside to get a drink while you wait. It's the most precious place near the lakefront. The owner Leeam is so nice and very hospitable. All the food was absolutely delicious. I got the crab cake napoleon, my husband got the crab cake Benedict & my MIL got the redfish benny. We will be back very soon!"

Walk up to the counter to order, they are good at getting your order right. It's clean but the floor could use a fresh coat of paint. It's fun they call out the customers names when their order is ready. My two complaints are 1 they cut your burger in half, and 2 they give you a glass of ice with some soda in it rather than a glass of soda with some ice in it pretty minor complaints. It's a good size menu and the food is good. Food is fresh, bathrooms are clean and plenty of parking."

"A chill, casual sports bar in Algiers Point. My friend and I stopped here mainly to grab a cold water bottle and to use their restroom. I believe it was the owner or manager that served us, didn't catch his name, but he was pleasant and helpful. Their restroom was fairly clean except there was no soap, so I had to use hand sanitizer. Their food menu looked good, just that my friend and I weren't hungry as we had ate prior to coming here and going on the ferry to visit Algiers Point, so we didn't order any food on our visit."

We did book a reservation, even though we went for lunch just to be safe. They did mention that reservations were needed for the weekend.The restaurant is divided into two parts. One side is a cocktail bar that has a piano player several nights a week and a great fireplace to sit by and the other side is the restaurant.From the decor to the service, everything was completely outstanding.I highly recommend getting the brussels sprouts for a starter. Even if you were not a brussels sprout fan this place will make you become one!I got the lobster gnocchi and it definitely had a lot of lobster, but I probably would not recommend it. My friend got the steak and truffle fries, and it was completely outstanding!Our waiter was Chris and it was his first week and you would have never noticed because he was completely amazing!The parking here is a little wonky. You can park under the overpass by the supermarket across the street and just walk over.Overall, a great addition for the area and will certainly be back when I'm in town!"

The service was super efficient, taking 14 orders and serving us our drinks, salads, entrees, and even some pie slices to-go in record time. While I settled on a salad, and it was tasty, I was drooling over the fried shrimp & fish that my companions had ordered. It looked amazing - and they agreed that it was. It was also a HUGE portion and most brought back leftovers. Looking at the menu, the prices seem completely reasonable, and worth a repeat trip the next time I find myself in Gretna."

Their flagship menu item is the "KP Burger" and that was quite impressive... never had anything like it. If you love philly cheese steak and burgers, well this comes as a no-brainer... they are combined in this entree and blend harmoniously well! As for sandwiches, the Louisiana Grilled Cheese is another favorite and I loved it though I will have to be back during the height of crawfish season because instead of shrimp, it's crawfish! During my first visit, the servers were on top of things and very pro-active; however, during my last visit, the server neglected to acknowledge the Yelp check-in offer. She was asked - once by me and twice by the friend I was with. So that was the only flaw. Other than that, this is a great place for post-work cocktails, happy hour, late night bites and a fun place to chillax. This place is deceivingly big! One would expect its space ending at the bar, but nope... there's a whole foyer in the back if your ears need a bit of rest. Bathrooms are located back there, too (and it's one of the cleaner bar bathrooms I've been to compared to the many bars I hit while in NOLA.) Drinks are fairly priced and they are generous with the amount of alcohol in my cocktails! Bartender was nice, so with the bouncer. We liked it here so much we came back once more a couple of days later. Good times! Will be back!"

"I have a motorcycle. I like to cruise with a destination. And Fred's seems like a great place to stop for refreshment on a hot day.Before the floods this place was a total biker bar. A divey, gritty, awesome spot that was perfect in its way.Sadly, the floods washed away the grit.The new Fred's is lovely, rebuilt, shiny. I have no real complaints about the remodel, but it lost a lot of that biker-atmosphere.Bartenders are nice. The view of the river is awesome. They have music on the weekends and it's cool to hang on the patio, have some drinks and relax. Prices are good too.If you're hungry, you can get a menu at the bar. But you have to call the phone number on the menu - the restaurant is at the shop in a different building. There is table service, but it's kinda slow. Best option is to walk up to the store yourself and be your own waiter.I don't hate the new Fred's, but I do miss what the old Fred's represented: a little back-water hideaway for those of us who wanted a little low-brow atmosphere."

If you know anything about ownership then you know that Master P (A former hip hop artist) is part owner of this establishment. With that being said,most people would expected the appearance of this restaura nt to be alluring but it was nothing of the sort. The paint job was a sight for sore eyes and the floors looked as though they had not been polished since the first day of business. I decided to try their chicken and waffles which were great!....if I was only going to look at them. After that first bite I realized how true the saying",looks can be deceiving" was. The waffles were dry a taste like they came out of the freezer. And the chicken fingers were as bland as a bowl of rocks. They waiter( who was awesome by the way) allowed me to replace my order with another meal from the menu! This time I decided to try a Big Poppa bacon cheese burger. This cheeseburger was by far one of the best cheese burgers I have ever had!!!!!! The beef was seasoned to perfection. And they also gave you regular bacon and deep fried bacon on your burger! The fries were fresh and hot!. The customer service here was superb."
