Backatown Coffee Parlour

One word: PERFECTOIt is the CUTEST, most welcoming coffee shop I have been to in a long time. It displays local art and embodies the NOLA culture. This was my first time coming to this coffee shop while visiting. It was my husband, mom, aunts and me. We ordered 3 small king cake lattes, a vanilla cortado and crawfish quiche. Each drink and the quiche was made with love. I wish I could remember the man's name that helped us. He was patient with us and really helped us find the best drink for our palettes. There is a "lounge area" with couches that allows for you to get comfy while you enjoy your drinks and food. On the table in the lounging area, there are chit chat cards that encourage some fun dialogue. There is a station that offers patrons to grab free books and to leave books. The music is very soothing and allows for studying, reading and conversation.Another spot for our "must go" NOLA list.

We had a large group, so we had to wait a bit for our food. The crawfish melt with pepper jack was really good filled with lots of flavor. After a few bites, it became very salty but quickly fixed with hot sauce. The coffee was nice a and strong. The server did forget the avocado in one of the orders for avocado toast but they quickly replaced it and were very sweet about. The crawfish quiche was better then the spinach quiche. I loved the art all over and the vibe of the cafe was pleasing. Overall, a nice place to grab a quick bite or take a Fruit cup or chia pudding to go.

This place is a hidden gem in that isn't so hidden anymore. I got the Raspberry Grilled cheese and let me tell. It was definitely different, but it was good. I created a Carmel drink of some sort, but it was delicious.... My hubby had the Vietnamese Coffee and it was great too. The service was pretty fast and the ambiance is vibe. This is the perfect spot to conduct business or if you need a coffee shop to do some work. Check them out.

Coming from Vegas and wish I'd known it was right behind the place I was staying. I loved the mellow vibes and beautiful layout. I was going to try something simple, but once I noticed the crawfish quiche was made in-house, I had to have it. It was delicious by the way. Our barista was very attentive and assisted me in my additional requests without missing a beat. I can't wait to return. I've already share my enthusiasm of this place to my friends who frequent New Orleans who had not heard of this place before.

Huge cafe with a friendly staff. Great coffee and make sure you try the crawfish quiche! Love supporting Black owned businesses!

I've been following this shop on social media for a couple of years and finally decided to walk down (our vacation club property is a few blocks away) for a visit. My family and I were in town for the 51st Bayou Classic - fun times. The shop is very nice and quaint. Our drinks and pastries were delicious! My husband had a macchiato, daughter had a cranberry cream cheese scone with a seasonal specialty bev and I had a miel latte. I was not disappointed at all. I'm definitely visiting again.

We took a stroll here for coffee and ended up ordering the crawfish melt and quiche as well. It was amazing! Highly recommend this place to break away from the canal st and French quarter tourist crowd. The place has plenty of sitting area to hang out.

Great atmosphere, it's clean and the baristas were super nice and welcoming. The food and coffee were also amazing, highly recommend the spinach quiche, french toast and the turkey egg and cheese sandwich. Also was super spacious with lots of seating!

Stopped in during the rain to grab some coffee and were greeted with such delight by Mike. We ordered lattes, raspberry grilled cheese, and tomato bisque--all of which were delicious! Mike created a relaxed and calm atmosphere, making it a wonderful experience with amazing customer service. WE WILL BE BACK! :)
