Waldo's Chicken & Beer

I feel horrible leaving this 2-Star review, but I'm sounding the alarm for Mark Waldo and the manager of the Belle Meade Waldo's to take notice! BRIEF BACKSTORY: The first time we came to this venue was on Opening Day. I had the chance to meet Mark Waldo, and I greatly enjoyed our conversation that went on quite awhile. Not only was I very impressed with him, his core values and his passion for excellence, but the FOOD was great! It was the BEST FRIED CHICKEN I've ever had in my life (and I'm married to a gourmet cook, plus we enjoy eating at great restaurants). That day, the staff was fantastic, and we were excited that we found a new favorite place! We returned a few months ago and, once again, we really enjoyed the food and the experience.BUT...today, the fried chicken was overcooked and DRY. Wow, what a surprise!! Because the food has previously been SO GREAT, the contrast is what added to the degree of disappointment. I'm not leaving this review to get perks or a free meal ticket. I just know how hard Mark and his team have worked, and I want to see them maintain the top level of excellence they are known for and are totally capable of.Therefore, if Mark or the Manager simply acknowledges this review, I'm deleting it with the confidence that the downturn in quality is on its way to being reversed.

In a town full of fried chicken ..gotta say...the best flavor, crunch, juiciness, best sides and an ice cold beer. Service was also very accommodating. We just wanted fast food but opted for sit down. Sure glad we did.

I assume this location is new so that's why there aren't many reviews. First time trying this chain and it was amazing! Good food good people decently priced beer!

I'm a fan of Raisin' Canes and to a lesser extent, Zaxby's, so I was pretty sure I would be fine with Waldo's. However, the selection of sauces and choices of sides have made me a Waldo's fan. The service was excellent and faster than most other fast food spots, super fast. Go check it out!

Ok, this place is outstanding. Chicken sandwich, White beans, butter cheese biscuits and fruit tea. All were a 5* across the board. Everything on the chicken sandwich was as good as it can get; chicken thigh, pickles (I'm not a big pickle fan, there were great) sauce was perfect and the bread was super fresh. I'm a big fan of white beans these were cooked perfect and the flavor was really good, add a couple biscuits (great) and washed it all down with a refreshing fruit team. The service was top notch. Only down side was apparently their AC went out (they can't control).

Great fast service! They got our food out within 5 mins of us sitting down and were extremely kind, they came by and checked that our food was all good. Try the cheddar biscuits!

Waldo's chicken is the best chicken around. The Mac n cheese, fried and potato wedges are a great complement to the chicken. But, the banana pudding is a must try! It is top notch. From the time we walked in until we left the service was impeccable. We have lived in Nashville for 6 weeks and been here 3 times and will be back.

This place is incredible!!! The service is like nothing I've ever experienced before. Super fast and friendly. Don't get me started on the chicken best in Nashville easy. Huge selection of sauces and great beer on tap and happy hour every day 3-6 also great music selection too. Can't say enough good things will definitely be back soon.

WOW! All I can say is wow. This place blew me out the water. Service was impeccable. Our food came out in less than 3 minutes and it was fresh. The staff deserves raises for how they checked on us and made sure our experience was enjoyable. It was my first time and I will be going back weekly. We even received a free dozen biscuits to take home. I LOVE WALDOS!!!!
