"Lower Broadway is full of live music bars (lucky us!). So what sets this one apart? Firstly, you can be fairly up close to the band which makes for fun interaction. Secondly, there is often a band playing rock. Even metal. Bonus points! And thirdly, it is a bit of a well kept secret as it bears the name of a music industry clothing designer (I'm looking at you, Elvis) and not a county music mega star. So even if you haven't "heard of" Nudie's, do yourself a favor and stop in. There is a difference amongst many of the honky tonks. For me, this one hits right. PS everyone is clothed. ;) Pro Tip: look directly above the stage and you will see Nudie's full size Cadillac mounted on the wall!"
"Got takeout. When I arrived, my food was already ready! I got:- 2 carne asada tacos with onions but no cilantro: carne asada was dry, yikes! Not very flavorful either.- 1 chorizo taco with onions but no cilantro: flavorful and tasty, this was good.- sopapillas: these were small and had honey with powdered sugar on top. Not sure if they weren't super great because they were cold, but it wasn't very fluffy. Really pricey food, tacos were $4.25 and all that was on it was two tortillas, meat, and cilantro. That's how authentic Mexican tacos are but it was overpriced."

"Had a good workout at Sweat440 then walked down the street for some tacos. We sat at the bar the bartender was good. She willingly answered my 100 questions about the menu! Started with some Dirty Queso, it was good, kind of filling. My buddy ordered the Swole Bowl, he liked it although he said it was a bit creamy. I had the Blue Dream, and it was ! I definitely recommend the kewl ranch taco shell. I also added a Lucy's Fire taco. This taco was flavorful but had a bit too much going on for my liking. I will definitely be back to try a few more items."
"The service was fantastic! The staff member at the counter was incredibly energetic and offered great recommendations from their extensive menu. The food was quite satisfying. Initially, the queso portion seemed small, but it packs a spicy punch. I had the quesadilla which was great, I did shredded chicken and the juice they had it in they needed to broil it a few minutes to take some juice out so the quesadilla is not a soggy mess. Churros were so good but need caramel in a separate cup to make it easier to dip. The establishment offers both a bar and table dining options, as well as takeout. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would definitely return!"
"Exactly what I want a food truck parked in the back yard of a bar to be! I got the asada tlayuda and it was delicious! Great offerings for anyone who missed dinner or is still out drinking at fourth meal."
"Came here randomly after a yelp event. My boyfriend had been raving about this place for awhile. We had our boys (dogs) with us so our options were limited. We sat on the patio with them and ordered quickly before the kitchen closed. I love a good birria taco so I got one of those and queso. My bf got carne asada and chicken tacos. I was not sold on the birria taco. The queso was good and chips were perfect. Love a good thin and crispy chip. His tacos were good; I ended up taking a bite of his. We got spicy margs and oh my- they had a kick. Not my fav spicy marg tho."
"Came on a Tuesday to 12 Ave south on the earlier side of the day and noticed some other restaurants were closed. Thankfully Nashville Street Tacos was open. The steak burrito was super filling - we split it. The day we went was $5 beers all day! So grabbed it to complement our meal. Kristin really helped us decide and was kind enough to help us sample a beer or two. We sat in their open covered patio and saw some Runners Club pass by. Enjoyable time for casual lunch."
"Came here on a Friday at 6pm with reservations. We ordered some tacos and queso which were both great. The queso was easily large enough for 4 people. Tacos were good albeit not mind blowing for the price. The atmosphere and vibe of the spot really started popping off around 7-8pm. Their rooftop bar has one of the best views of the Nashville skyline I know of. We cant wait to come back and grab drinks with friends here."
"The real deal! Unlike most of the dreadful Mexican restaurants in Nashville. The mole negro and banana-leafed wrap tamales were superb! The cuisine is from Oaxaca, so if you are craving burritos and fajitas then this is not the place for you."
"The barbacoa taco is great! Juicy shredded pork, cilantro and onions on a corn tortilla. Boom -- that's all you need. Pour some of Chilango's slightly spicy green chile on top, and you have a nice little meal. One taco is enough to take the edge off, but if I were super hungry, I would have probably ordered two.One of my friends ordered the barbacoa salad, and it looked amazing. This salad is huge and served on a literal baking sheet, so everything is spread out nicely. The pork salad has shredded cheese, onion, tomato and corn, served on a bed of romaine lettuce, and includes some chips and dressing on the side.Another of my friends ordered the mango frozen margarita, which is served with a Tajin rim. I tasted it and it was a little too sweet for my palate, but she really enjoyed it.Chilangos Tacos is located in Assembly Food Hall in downtown Nashville. There are a lot of food options at Assembly, but Chilangos is the one to make a beeline to if you're looking for decent Mexican food in this area."
"We loved Blanco Amd ate lunch here twice on our recent trip. My favorites were the chips and salsa and the chicken fajitas (no peppers) . Everything was fresh and tasty. Our servers were both helpful and offered suggestions. They were also great with our food allergies. The restaurant is open and artsy. We would recommend and visit again."

11/17/23: OMG another fun bar. Warning it's about 3 loooong flights up and nooo elevator!Upon entering a huge car hanging from the ceiling once again sensory overload. As there were no seats we headed upstairs to the rooftop area. Great choice. We actually stayed for about 3 hours listening to music. If ever in Nashville check out where Jericho Rose is performing they are amazing, entertaining and all out FUN.Note: there's a giant ice water glass container where folks achieve their own water. You order at the bar receive your number and they bring food to the table. There is a separation once you leave the covered area of the bar and walk to the open rooftop area there is security there ensuring any drinks in glass are poured Into plastic cups.Jericho Rose sang variety not only country and highly encourages requests. Throughout their performance many dirty toasts, they had us patrons in stitches. As we exited and another group performing downstairs and patrons dancing and having a great time.I truly enjoyed time spent.

Really obsessed with this place whenever I have a hankering for excellent Mexican street style tacos.I know they have other things on the menu, but the regular pollo/chicken street style taco is the stuff of my dreams and I've started over-ordering when I get takeout here so that I always have yummy leftovers. Tacos are all served on corn tortillas, topped with chopped white onion and cilantro, served with the perfect spicy-but-not-too-spicy salsa verde and some pickled veggies on the side. The queso is also amazing with made in-house tortilla chips.I would love to come in and try other things at some point but the sell/extreme awesomeness of that chicken taco really prevents me from being willing to get anything else when I come here. Friendly service, super cheap, easy parking - it's a win all around to eat here!

My boyfriend and I were hungry late night and decided on some tacos. Whenever ordering delivery your standards kind of drop because hard shell tacos usually don't travel well.WOW we were so wrong. This place had the most amazing tacos in all of Nashville!! We both got the blue dream and a few others and we regretted not ordering more!! Highly recommend this place it's SO good.

This one manned-spot is such a gem - delicious tortillas and great flavors. We tried everything on the menu, and even got seconds because it was so good. The custard-filled churros were an especially satisfying treat! So happy to stumble on this place while at Honeytree Meadery.

This is my go-to for consistently great food and great service. Everything on the menu is stellar. And every time I'm there, everyone on the staff are amazing. Don't tell the others, but Liz is my favorite. The craft cocktails are always on point.

Found this delicious spot when searching for tacos on a whim! We tried the Barbacoa tacos and the salsa trio, and we will definitely be back to try more. The service was great, the vibe was fun and eclectic, and the menu was fantastic.

"I only tried one taco here, so my review is not a complete picture of this taco truck by any means. I visited during Tomato Fest, and had dinner elsewhere before checking this spot out. Given the fantastic reviews, the small menu, and the adorable truck, I just had to try something from the taco truck. I went with the sweet potato taco, and tried their chipotle salsa on the side. The taco was really tasty, although incredibly pricey- $7 is a lot for just one taco. It was good, don't get me wrong, but I don't think I would pay the $7 for another one of the sweet potato tacos. I would, however, try a different taco or a quesadilla next time. The salsa was delicious and I would recommend trying it- not too spicy, but packed with that smoky chipotle flavor."
"I just moved to East Nashville from LA a few months ago and I've had an awful time trying to find authentic Mexican food. I've only been here once, but so far this is easily the best. There is another taco stand in East Nashville that gets a lot of business and good for them... but this place is way better and way more fairly priced on top of it."
"I'm so glad to know that Birria babe has moved locations and finally in a permanent spot. It was so hard to catch in the food truck. It's always good to see the evolution of great places. Especially when they have genuine ownership behind the name. I hadn't been here in a while. But I just so happened to come across an IG post in relation to the different tacos being used, so I figured I needed to go check it out myself. Needless to say, I was NOT disappointed. By this time the shells had been changed, but everything was great. I ordered the trio which consists of chicken, beef, and lamb. I personally couldn't tell which was lamb or beef. Whatever you order here you wouldn't be displeased."
"I ordered the tacos. It comes with 3 tacos and a side of beans. I chose steak, carnitas, and al pastor. The tacos were ok. I've had better. However, the al pastor had the most flavor out of the three. The tacos were good in size. I enjoyed the sauces it came with, a red hot and creamy jalapeño. I didn't expect them to be spicy but they were. I asked for no beans but they were able to sub it for a side of rice. They are very friendly and prices are reasonable."
"Generous portions cooked to perfection. Authentic tacos with a taco bar to dress them however you like. Romantic setting and comfortable benches. Even ordering for pick up is a pleasure with take home portions that match in size to dine in. All the staff are friendly and helpful. You must try here! Best Mexican food in Gallatin!"
"The staff was really helpful and friendly, and the tacos were very good. I had one each of the beef, chicken, and carnitas. The carnitas taco was the best in terms of flavor, but they were all very good. All the tacos are gluten-free with corn tortillas. Some of the other items on the menu are not gluten-free, but it was good to have an option for those who can't have gluten. The food truck is really clean, and they clearly have things organized well.Overall a great experience with really good tacos! Next time I'm hoping they have their barria tacos on the menu so I can try those too."
"Wow! I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of their food. I was in the area for work and didn't see much else so I stopped in. The brisket nachos were perfect. Not too many toppings, just queso, pico, a scoop of guac and I got the mojo sauce on the side. It was also tasty! I'll def be back and look forward to the one coming to nolensville soon. Great atmosphere, i even stuck around and worked from my laptop for an extra hour since it slowed down after lunch. Awesome spot!"
"Came by for dinner on a Sunday with a party of 7 & no reservation - they were able to get us a table for 4, and split our party so the others ate at a standing table. It was OK. I'm glad they squeezed us in but PSA if you have a large party I would definitely recommend a reservation.Food was really good! Tried two tacos (you pay per taco) & the chips and quac. Everything was full of flavor and I was really happy with all the food. Service was good & bathroom was clean. There's paid parking lots nearby - no street parking."
"These are SOLID Street Tacos!!!This place reminds me of some roadside Mexican places I've enjoyed driving through Texas. They were a little busy and with the traffic on Murfreesboro Rd it can be difficult to talk with the lady taking your order. I asked for a steak and a chicken taco, but was delivered two steak tacos. Not to worry, she fixed my order and gave me the extra steak taco. I loved the steak tacos, great flavor and when you add the sautéed onions...WOW!!! The chicken taco was good, but the steak overshadowed the chicken one. I did sample the two sauces provided, while the tacos didn't need any enhancements, but these sauces were too hot for my taste buds. They have outdoor seating, which was full so I just dropped my tailgate and enjoyed my lunch."
"We loved that this restaurant didn't serve the standard "Mexican" fast food standards. All the menu items seemed to be original renditions of many different Latin American delicacies. The food was prepared well with fine ingredients arrived at our tables hot and was well plated. The Papusas were great, as were the black beans, and the kids menu was great. The only area where they didn't really excel in was beverages. They had almost no sodas, no sweet tea (they are in the south), only 1 diet beverage in the place. The staff was friendly and the environment was very appealing. They need a sign out front so more people would know they are there. Definitely will be coming back."
"Did we come here because we saw it on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives? Absolutely. Was Guy right? Absolutely. We came by on a Wednesday evening, but we were too late for the tamales. There was a bit of a wait outside, but it wasn't too bad. We sat outside at the covered patio. I really liked the ambiance, and inside was cute, too, where you pick up your food. The sweet potato & quinoa taco was okay; I really liked the red sauce at the table (similar to Valentina), but the Pulled Pork one was soooo ridiculously good and flavorful! And their Pozole Verde soup? I could eat that by the GALLON! It was incredible!!!! Need to come back earlier on a Wednesday to snag some tamales before they run out!"
"My friend Claude was getting married to a lovely young lady he'd met at Déjà Vu in Nashville. Déjà Vu is owned by Larry Flynt of Hustler fame I'm told, and caters primarily to the few remaining men of the heterosexual persuasion. I flew in from Tampa and rented a nifty Cadillac-Buick for the occasion. To me a Cadillac-Buick was something big enough to climb in and out of without getting a clubfoot or a withered arm. I was going to meet Claude's best man JD Tripley, a football coach at a local academy and former Vol. JD and I had crossed paths a few times before during a variety of adolescent male bonding rituals. The Rebel Bar was one of those establishments where you weren't likely to find too many polo players. A few tables from the oilcloth family, dark booths along two walls adorned with a filling station clock and some faded posters from when UT actually had a football team. I saw two cigarette machines, a stage for the band and wood floor for the Fred and Gingers, and a long bar with swivel stools and naugahyde padding for the elbows of customers who needed to think it over awhile longer before they went home to the cuss fight. A friendly note: I wouldn't ride your Kawasaki motorbike down here if you know what I am saying to you?The tunes on the jukebox indicated that music began with Hank Williams Jr. and ended with Patsy Cline, but today's anthem was Gary P. Nunn singing, "If You Don't Believe I Love You Honey, Just Ask My Wife." Much of what you needed to know about the ambiance of the Rebel Bar could be found in the black lettering on the white sweatshirt worn by the convivial lady behind the bar. I didn't normally take the time to contemplate such things, but this one asked to be studied more closely. In black lettering, the message smartly said:GO %&*# YOURSELF, IN CASE I FORGOT TO MENTION IT EARLIERI asked the bartender her name. She said she'd like for it to be Drew Barrymore, but she'd had to settle for Kelly Sue Stinett. She had creamy skin, a sharp little nose, shrewd eyes of swimming-pool blue, and American hair...amber waves of grain. A lady somewhere in her early forties who'd seen two husbands run off with go-go dancers, a mobile home burn down, and a Ford Ranger wash away in a flood. But all that was purely a guess on my part, it had to do with the constant 'so-what' expression on her face.Kelly Sue came around to see if we needed more whiskey, JD ordered another vodka and cranberry, his health drink, and then he took the scenic route to the men's room by way of Too Tight and Too Cheap, who had just come from a hard day of separating hens from roosters at the chicken plant in Culleoka. You couldn't help but look at Too Cheap like you would a wild animal on the Discovery Channel. With a margarita in one hand, Marlboro in the other, and a look in her eyes that just said she was there to ruin your life. She was laughing heartily now at JD's jokes, thought it was hilarious when my friend asked her what kind of sexual harassment she liked best. Too Tight lit up when JD asked her what color car she wanted.I don't remember much more about that evening. Claude and the rest of the wedding party showed up pretty soon thereafter and ordered 6 rounds of shots in succession. They didn't really agree with the 3 Irish whiskeys I'd already gotten on the outside of but I guess I was in no worse condition than everybody else when the sheriff came around with a couple of deputies to load us into the back of a squad car to take us back to JD's house. They take pretty good care of their football coaches around here, made me glad JD didn't coach some sissy sport like soccer."
"Always my go to for Mexican in Gallatin. Authentic, very inexpensive and great owner and staff. Food is always excellent, restaurant does have seating but it limited. If no seats No worries you can always eat outside or grab it to go."
"Karaoke on Fridays in the most divey establishment with pool and darts. It's not a place to bring someone you would want to impress, but if you want to just grab some drinks with some old friends and chat with people who are way too intoxicated, this may be your place."
"Say hello to your new go-to sandwich shop! My husband and I have ordered from the new 51st Deli location twice in the last month, and will definitely be making this a regular stop. Both of our recent visits were on Sunday afternoons, and I would be remiss if I didn't shout out the incredible customer service! The folks working here are genuinely excited that you're there - they greet you when you walk in the door, take your order quickly and kindly (no matter how busy they are), and then wish you well when you're leaving. This is truly some of the best service I've had in Nashville at a grab-and-go restaurant. If you're in the mood for a hot sandwich, I recommend the Chopped Cheese. This is 51st Deli's take on a classic, and they do so memorably. If you've never had a Chopped Cheese before, it's basically a burger in sandwich form without a true patty. That might sound strange, but trust me when I say it's incredible! On our second visit, I decided to try the Turkey Avocado sandwich, which is packed full of flavor and texture. This order solidified my opinion that you can't go wrong with anything on the menu at 51st Deli, and I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a tasty sandwich to-go! That said, if you do decide to dine in, they have several tables available inside and outside, along with an extensive wall of drinks to choose from."
"Yum! New to Tennessee and Taco Tuesday came and I was craving some Cali-Mex but wasn't getting my hopes up, as my daughter warned me there's no good Mexican food in middle Tennessee. Wrong!!! I had carne asada, carnitas, and a fish taco with a side of rice and beans. All were yummy - I'll probably get just one or two asada next time, but I was hungry. The rice and beans were just like I was used to have in SoCal and the chips were fresh made. Hubby had the asada burrito and "it did not disappoint". He will be back next week, if not before. Prices were fair and portions were a good value. I will be back. Warning - there is a fee to use credit card - but I'm finding that's standard practice here in Tennessee."
"The food is legit. Tacos are good and so are the el pastor burritos.Supporting small businesses is my deal.So I will be returning for more tacos."
"This places screams authentic, from the Mexican market next door cooking their own carne asada to the hand written CASH ONLY sign on the door. This place has been here for at least 15 years! Or at least that's how long I've known of them. The atmosphere has a small, heavy and authentic feel, perfect to eat the greasy yummy food. The cheese dip is delicious so make sure you order some, unless you are lactose intolerant and then I'm sorry, it would be worth it though, just saying. I also order the chiles toreados. I like to eat them with my food for a mild spicy taste (unless you get unlucky, ha!) and I don't eat the seeds either so that helps with the luck. They have different dishes but my favorite had always been the carne asada burrito, that's my go to for ever in this place, I do try different things else where but honestly now that my tastes buds are less whiny, I would love to try all the different food they have there. Honestly everything that I have seen around the tables look delicious. I definitely will be back every time I get a chance! They have a customer until someone hangs the shoes for good."
"I had heard raving reviews from several locals about this place! So many offerings of fresh, delicious comfort foods.I'll start by gushing about their incredible Bacon Egg Cheese Biscuit. Brace yourself for a flavor explosion as you sink your teeth into their buttermilk biscuit (made with love!) generously layered with cheddar(?) cheese, crispy bacon, and fluffy scrambled eggs. Every bite was a symphony of the perfect blend of flavors. I was skeptical at first. I didn't like the look of the cheese, it kinda looked like processed American cheese that wasn't entirely melted but it was actually really, really good! That's all I care about.Next up - the TPM Two Egg Breakfast at The Paper Mill deserves its own standing ovation. It's basically a build-your-breakfast. My plate of deliciousness consisted of two perfectly cooked, buttery scrambled eggs. Paired with crispy bacon that was cooked to crispy perfection, a side of tantalizing crispy potato hash, and--of course--their heavenly biscuits, this breakfast ensemble was nothing short of extraordinary!!I also have a couple honorary mentions. First off, I LOVED the pepper jelly I asked to go with my biscuits. Just the right amount of light sweetness and spicy kick! Highly recommend for the adventurous palate! Also, I ordered a side of sausage gravy to add even more pizzazz. It was absolutely delish! So much so I found myself eating it by the spoonful several times, sns!The ambiance at The Paper Mill is cozy and inviting, making it the ideal spot to start your day with a smile. The charming atmosphere, combined with the outstanding food, creates an unforgettable breakfast experience that will have you planning your next visit before you've even finished your meal!"
