She takes the orders and handles the flow of customers.My travel buddy suggested this spot I'm not a big fan of "regular breakfast items, eggs, pancakes etc so when I saw the menu had alternate items such as Porkchops and shrimps and grits I quickly called. Big Al himself picked up and stated he had one more and do I want him to hold it. Heck yes was my response.Upon arrival he asked were you the one that called I said yes he replied you look as you sound New York...lol.Folks please note it is a small establishment in the event you need to wait it will have to be outside. Once it was our turn we ordered the Porkchops...folks the "one pork chop" he saved was 3 huge pieces. It came with potatoes, eggs, and a biscuit.We also ordered the shrimp and grits with crab, biscuits with sausage gravy and cinnamon roll.Portions were huge although we shared we still each had leftovers to take.The sausage gravy for the biscuits had chunks of sausage, it was well seasoned and spicy we have like 4 biscuits.As our hotel was not far about a 10 minute walk we decided to walk instead of calling for the hotel shuttle that dropped us off.When in Nashville this a MUST but plan accordingly as its first come first serve. It's basically similar to mom and pop establishment so do not look for fine dining the cups plates etc mismatch which I think adds to the character.So happy we partaked and happy to say we dined at Big Al's."

Has both indoor (loud) seating and outdoor seating, got an outdoor table. Pretty packed inside for 9:30PM on a Thursday, wow. A few outdoor tables were taken as well.Tried the Thursday special which had bacon and jalapeno jam, sweet potato fries ordered separately (none of the already-pricey burgers come with fries, wow). Beef was dry and generally not very flavorful, but the fries were good - hot and crispy, and the Jack Brown sauce (mayo-based but has a bunch of spices in it) was pretty good. Pretty pricey for the quality and quantity of food, service was a bit slow but friendly."

My lady was out of town so my usual restrictions related to gluten free and veggie options were not in force so I decided to give full heed to my appetite for something I wanted-something tasty, something comforting and satisfying. A burger and fries.Now, where to go. Since I'm fairly new to EAST Nashville I decided to hit up the Yelps and I remembered that one of the selections presented to me had been recommended by an Eastie, The Grill Shack.I checked out the photos, the reviews and decided it was worth my time, money and calories and made my way down to this literal shack-beside the railroad tracks.It looks like a bait shop or some sort of mom-pop appliance or hardware store form the past but if you look closely you'll see a walk up window, a menu a table with some supplies and a few picnic tables for sitting.The crowd assembled there that night didn't speak or nod or share words, it was like we were there for our fix and didn't want to acknowledge the need we had, for a burger and fries.After ordering we waited in silence until the good goodness was ready. Can I say it was worth the wait and the time and the money and the calories. Both burger and fries were solid, no shame in their game. They have the receipe down for spicy ketchup-it's better than that national joint from TX that's moving in to the Nashville area. If my lady would allow, I'd eat it once on Monday, twice on Wednesday and three times on Sunday. When you need a burger and fries you don't need fancy, you need good honest solid food-Grill Shack is all that and more. I promise you won't be disappointed."

"The Slider House is located in the middle of the Midtown area of the city amongst all the restaurants and bars. As you would suspect, they serve sliders of all different types from beef, chicken, pork and even fish. You can get an individual slider for $7, or make a meal out of it with 2 sliders with a side. The Slider House is a sports bar, so TV's are on all the walls, so not a bad seat in the house when a game is on. Note that this spot is the local Detroit Lions bar, so plan accordingly on game days!We went with the meal option and got two sliders and a side. I got a beef slider, The Old Hickory, a chicken slider, Southern Comfort and a side of onion pedals. Meal total was $17. The sliders were decent with the Southern Comfort being my fav. The Sriracha Honey glaze made the sandwich! I was disappointed in the onion pedals, as while I can appreciate a light dredge/batter, these pedals were barely coated and some pieces were not coated at all. Before our sliders, we started with the buffalo chicken dip. The dip was tasty, just enough heat and thick. The chips are the house made potato chips, and while good on their own, not my favorite vessel for the dip. Drink wise, they have a full bar with several specials, beers on tap, cocktails, etc...we got a beer and I ordered a Gin and Tonic. My first G&T was solid, but my second was rough. I cannot pinpoint what it was, but it did not taste like a G&T. I confirmed it was what was made, and was assured, which just made me a question it a tad more. Service was a bit hit and miss as well. Our server was friendly, but not super attentive with drinks/refills. Overall, the experience, food and service was just "ok". Nothing terribly wrong or really outstanding. Decent spot for a decent slider and a beer."

"I don't know this place today!!!!! Ok... yeah what!? I'm so confused like I have been in Nashville for about 22 years and since I was allowed to go to bars I've been coming here!!!! Like for the low key, authentic country penetrating south feel. Sling (I know my English is not very good looking and saying it wrong but, sorry :). He was kind of nice in his own way I guess... I was seating at the height too tables by the entrance and I thought those were part of the bar area in the past and he brought the food for the people I was with so when I asked if he was also the person taking care of drinks he said "I guess I can..." and took my order. My friend loved him because well he was a bit on happy adult drinks got to meet Kylie Morgan and her husband Jay Allen! They are as beautiful as they are on Instagram... very sweet and humble couple. The place a back to old "old times" around midnight according to Sling the bartender. He was ok. I got to dance with Mr. Michael (amazing!!!!!) ok moving on... It has been about 19 months since I've been here last and wow!!! I can't believe this place now. They have a big dance floor room open but that has a cover $7. I waited till they were closing to just check it out. I'm confused. I didn't even know that was a room!!! It cut off at the bathroom hall or so I thought. Then there is this huge dance floor!!??? If you like to dance please come check it out!They also have food."

"Gotta love this place!!Small town burger joint in Franklin, TN amazing food, small town atmosphere and awesome staff. I just placed and order to go, which you'll have to do there as they aren't currently taking to go orders over the phone. It is really easy though, walk up to the counter (basically to the kitchen) and use the large touch screen to place your order, they make it really really easy to customize your food with their POS system. I got two Pioneer burgers to go with fries and they were all done and ready to go in less than 10 min. The staff was super nice, some young hard working gentlemen, and the place was clean and had a great small town diner vibe. I definitely recommend it here!"

The salad is a great size for 2 people to share if getting other food and was a very fair price. The dressing was more on the anchovy tasting side but it was delicious. It does come with anchovies on too so if you don't want to see that, ask for me to be left off. The pizza was fantastic! It had a nice thick crunchy crust with fresh basil, burrata, and sauce. My sister doesn't often get a burger but felt like one tonight, and ate the whole thing. She said it was great. Her boyfriend got the vodka pizza, which I tasted and was delicious as well. This was a meal I would love to repeat!"

My buddy and I had just left an event at titans stadium on a late Saturday night and was exploring the area when we heard the sounds of a ufc ppv blaring. So we work up and they have a patio area with speakers and see through glass to watch the ppv. Ot was round one of the main event so we decided "why not". The inside was pretty crowded so we decided To just grab a drink a piece and sit on the exterior and watch the fights. Overall pretty cool vibe and an awesome setup for ufc ppv and major fights. Made it really comfortable and convenient to be able to sit outside away from packed crowds and be able to hear and see the fight perfectly."

We had a group order and they nailed every bite!!!! We had pizza pockets, Italian beefs, breaded mushrooms, fried ravioli, spaghetti, a burger, gyro, and wings. Definitely get a pizza pocket!!!
