"I'm really at a 3.5 but upped it to 4 because that pork shoulder really is GOOD! The place is right on Broadway in a prime location, but this small/narrow kind of a divey place was just that... a dive. That doesn't take away from the meat's quality and flavor. The usual white bread bun accompanied it, which I didn't eat, I was there for the MEAT!I'd probably opt to go elsewhere in the future, but glad I could try Jack's. It hit the spot at that moment."
"So, the four of us decided to hit up this spot for brunch today. Everyone went the traditional route and ordered omelettes, but not me--I went rogue with a PB&J chicken biscuit. I asked them to swap the tomato jam for peach habanero, but they gave me plain peach jam instead. Luckily, they fixed it without any drama. The biscuit sandwich? Decent, but no fireworks.Meanwhile, my friends' omelettes were like a game of musical chairs; their orders got all mixed up.The place is tiny inside, and while they have outdoor seating, Mother Nature was throwing a tantrum with rain today. On the bright side, there's plenty of street parking!"

"HoneyFire BBQ in Bellevue is a fantastic spot for some seriously good barbecue! The food here is great, every dish I've tried has been flavorful and cooked really well. The meats are tender, the sauces are delicious, and the sides are just as good as the mains. The atmosphere is laid-back and welcoming, making it a great place to kick back and enjoy a meal with family or friends. Whether you're a BBQ connoisseur or just looking for a good meal, HoneyFire won't disappoint. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!"
"Unexpected little gem of a place. I have to admit I judged a book by its cover and this time I was supremely wrong. When we arrived to stay at a near by place for a few days I saw this place and while it was crowded I overlooked it. I wrongly assumed it was busy because of its proximity to hotels and attractions, not because of their food or service. I was wrong on both accounts. Caney Fork is busy because they are good. We came here on our last night of our honeymoon to get some food after being out all day. The day before we had gone to their attached ice cream place and found that they were both family owned and since the restaurant offered wild game meat my husband was super interested in trying it. We came here before 5 on a Sunday so it wasn't packed with people and were greeted and seated super fast. Our server Red was awesome. He was personable and knowledgeable about the menu and gave great suggestions. We got the wild game platter and also the surf and turf. The wild game platter had fried gator, Cajun frog legs, elk patties and, wild game sausage along with their outfitter stew. The gator wasn't tough it was fried perfectly and had great flavor. The frog legs were tender and flavorful. The patties were a little dry but I imagine that in a burger they would be amazing and paired with the bbq sauce that came with them took any dryness away. The sausage was bursting with flavor and the stew reminded me of an Irish beef stew or a nice hearty winter stew. The surf and turf had an 8oz sirloin that was perfectly cooked and juicy. The shrimp was bbq grilled and bursting with flavor. The sides were had were the campfire potatoes that had a great crunch and the onions only complimented the flavor. And the deep fried cheese curds were not overly greasy and had the perfect melted consistency. It was a fun dining experience. The restaurant is done amazingly with tons of fun things to see and to discover. The waterfall lake with fish were fun to be seated by and provided their own entertainment. Like I said before Red our server was awesome. Fun and funny and made it more of an experience. He wanted us to enjoy everything which is what exactly happened. Next time I am in the area I will definitely be back for the food and also the service. Check this place out for something fun for the family or a date or just for good food."
"Hogwood is probably my favorite place to eat Barbeque in Franklin. I've tried almost everything on the menu, and it's all incredible. The meat selections are cooked to perfection, and the sides are delicious. Speaking of sides, you would think a tiny serving of pickles on each platter would be enough, not! I get a whole cup of these things, as one of my servings because they are so good. To be honest, I could probably eat several more cups. It and the rosemary potato salad, along with the marbled Brisket are my most ordered items. ***Side descriptions taken from Hogwood's website***Icebox Pickles (Fresh sliced cucumbers and onions and add our pickle brine made from rice wine vinegar and the Hogwood Pickling Spice Mix) and RosemaryPotato Salad (real potatoes and bacon, mixed with a hint of rosemary to create something new and refreshing.)My husband ordered the Lean Brisket with Hatch ChileCheese Grits(Fire Roasted Green Chile's from Hatch, New Mexico with Sharp Cheddar Cheese, Hogwood Seasoning, and Stone Ground Grits grits) and HogwoodSlaw (Thinly Sliced Cabbage, Kale, and green apples tossed with our Maple Cider Vinaigrette and garnished with hemp hearts. Our Maple Cider Vinaigrette is made from Apple Cider Vinegar and sweetened with real maple syrup.)Leaving it up to the reader to check out descriptions to rest of the menu. But, it's best to go in person and taste what appeals to you. If contemplating, they give samples to help make the finalselection. Once there, you order and pay at the register. You're given a number, and your food is brought to the table. The restaurant has the smoky aroma of a barbecue place, and it's a clean environment. Service is great, because everyone at this place works to make you a happy customer. I would recommend this Hogwood BBQ to anyone looking for this type food."
"Fabulous catfish, bbq and wings. Excellent live music. On the waterfront. Cozy place with a great vibe. Close seating and LOUD. Not a place to have a conversation. lol. Come for the food and music. Food served quickly. Order at the counter and brought to the table. Canned beverages. Nothing fancy."
"Some of the best wings I've ever had. There was a group of 8 of us for lunch. We found a table and ordered at the front. Service was fast and everyone enjoyed their food."
"Jack's Bar-B-Que is a great option for barbecue if you are on this side of Nashville, Tennessee. The place has a great ambiance and vibe for a barbecue restaurant. You know the type, kind of a hole-in-the-wall type place with an eclectic mix of bric-a-brac adorning the walls and they have the prerequisite pig statue. The ordering process is pretty simple. You go.up to the counter and order your meal, they fill your plate, you pay and either take it to-go or sit at a table and enjoy the feast.I went with the pulled pork dinner and for my two sides, I went with turnip greens and potato salad. I also went with Texas toast. I also went over and tried quite a few of their barbecue sauces. They have a table with their sauces available. The pork was fantastic and the sides were pretty good, as well. The staff was friendly and again, the ambiance was definitely enjoyable. I would definitely recommend Jack's Bar-B-Que and I give it five stars."
"This is my favorite bbq in Nashville and really anywhere. It is consistently good. They have several bbq sauces to choose from. My favorite is the pulled pork and the chocolate fudge pie for dessert. We always make sure to grab some pie to bring back home to Illinois. Highly recommend you won't be disappointed."
"Food: Although this is a hole-in-the-wall restaurant their signature St. Louis ribs are to die for. The sweet sauce was perfect. The meat falls off the bone just looking at it. Heck, the bones are even edible they are done so well. For sides we tried the hush puppies, which the spicy sauce was good but the puppy was too hard. Might have been left in the fryer just a little long. The Mac n cheese was good. And this also comes with Cole slaw, also good. The waitress was super accommodating and let us split the half slab of ribs because we were having dinner in four hours.Service is great. Numerous employees helped out and asked how things were. Drinks were filled as needed. Friendly.Parking: found a free spot out on the street as mentioned in numerous reviews. We came at almost 2p so this probably helped. Can see why this place gets great ratings. They do food the delicious way and take care of their clientele. Pricing is good with half a rack of ribs and two sides at $20 in Oct 2024."
"Never heard of this place before, work got catering from it for a special event. Had carnitas, ribs, chicken (I didn't try this), fried tomatoes, mac and cheese, salad, potato salad, coleslaw, hot sauce, BBQ sauce.Ribs were almost dry and not very flavorful, same with carnitas. Fried tomato was alright, didn't think it was anything special. Potato salad and coleslaw seemed to be unnecessarily sour, salad was fresh, mac and cheese was a bit watered down, could've done with more cheese that actually stuck on the noodles. Really liked the hot sauce, BBQ sauce was okay, nothing special. Overall fine, not very flavorful."
"Don't let the modest exterior fool you, this place serves up the best Korean food in Nashville! They have an extensive menu of all the classics (bibimbap, soft tofu soup, barbecued meats like bulgogi and Galbi, stews for 2, Korean pancakes, you name it). Big portions and authentic taste. Their Banchan is also solid - love their potatoes. Comfy seating with booths and tables, and a back room for overflow seating. Food can sometimes be a little slow to come out if they're busy but it's worth it!"

Jacks has become one of my favorite bbq spots in Nashville because of their food and service. The staff are wonderful, friendly, and crack jokes while you order. I love it. The food portions you will not be disappointed. We usually share a 2 plate combo because it is sooo much food. We chose the pulled pork and brisket. I absolutely love their brisket it is tender and moist and needs no sauce. But they do make their own bbq sauces which I recommend trying. The brisket my boyfriend absolutely loves as it has a nice bark to it and just so tender. Their Mac n cheese is delicious as it is gooey. And hands down one of the better Mac n cheeses in the area. The fried apples were so good we were fighting each other over each slice because it was subtly sweet and delicious. They also have assorted soft drinks, beers, and of course the staple southern sweet tea. I love that they have multiple levels within the restaurant. I think there are a total of four floors if you count the upstairs outside patio to sit on.

Cute little place with indoor and outdoor seating and good food. The bronut was definitely a favorite of the whole table. It is quite sweet, so I wouldn't just eat that, but I did enjoy sharing it with the table. The stuffed French toast sounded promising, but I wouldn't recommend it. The bronut was definitely way better than the French toast. The firebird sandwich was our favorite of the three sandwiches we ordered with the PB&J chicken biscuit being a close second. The jam on firebird paired well with the biscuit, cheese, and chicken. The breakfast tacos were good, but I would definitely recommend ordering the firebird over getting the tacos. The only two real disappointments were the poutine and the fried green tomatoes. The sauce with the fried green tomatoes was good, but the tomatoes themselves were pretty soggy. The few pieces we were served were definitely not worth the $8 we were charged for them. In addition, the poutine was a pretty watery/soggy mess with little flavor. The pork was bland and not that appetizing. All in all, if you order the right food, this is a great place with delicious food. I would recommend staying away from the fried green tomatoes and poutine. You can't go wrong if you order a bronut and firebird sandwich.

This place is so good. I can't wait to go back to Nashville just to eat it. They have a selective menu, but the food is so good. I don't think there's anything you can get that didn't taste good, I will with my kids. We all got different things, so I had a chance and opportunity to eat everything on the menu. The service is so cool everybody is so nice. You order your food, and then you go sit outside and somebody brings it to you. The bar staff is amazing, the atmosphere is so dope you can either sit inside or outside and outside is so beautiful it's a vibe.

Place was super close to the Gaylord Opryland Resort and BBQs are a must when in Nashville so i did. This place was true to their logo --- food is good and it is!I left it to the bartender/server to give me their best sellers. I had the rib/fried catfish combo with fried okra and mashed potatoes .... everything was soooo good!!!! my favorite is the rib, it is fall-off-the bone tenderness and the flavor is on point. the fried catfish is flavorful too as well as the sides.lots if beer choices but i was tired from the red eye so i just had sparkling water with my meal. place is clean, love the decors! everybody is attentive.

Hogwood is an amazing bbq spot In a great place in Franklin. We love coming to Hogwood and will always make the trip from Murfreesboro. I don't think any other bbq place has as much creativity as they have. The smoked bbq bowls are so good, I always go for the brisket bowl. I wish they did not change their portion sizes though, we used to be filled up but now we leave more on the hungry side.

Went here for an after graduation lunch. Had a party of 8+. It was a little hectic at first, because you order at the counter and then go to your tables, so there was a huge line in the middle of the restaurant. I got a smoked brisket plate, it comes with 2 sides, bread, and a drink. I got fried okra and potato salad. I thought the bread was just regular bread, but the bread option was between hush puppies, cornbread and something that I forgot. So I got hush puppies. My brisket was very moist, I even enjoyed the taste of the fat. The fried okra was bomb and so were the hushpuppies. The potato salad was good, but not the height of my night. For a drink I got the sweet tea, and THAT was amazing!! Best tasting sweat tea I've ever had!! I had some the next day in my to go cup and was still phenomenal! I'm hoping they have a website we can order it from Arizona! I tried my S.O. Cornbread and I was not impressed. It was like flattened mini pancakes, and I could barely taste the corn in it. All in all, I give 5 stars because everything I ordered, I highly enjoyed, and my S.O. Said the same thing. We had their fried pickles and they were also very good!

I stopped in this Jacks Bar-B-Que location while visiting Nashville for the weekend (From NC). The location was very convenient to our hotel. Being from NC, there is a plethora of good Bar-B-Que, but I know Tennessee also has some good Que so I was intrigued. I ordered the pork BBQ sandwich with a side of potato salad. The sandwich was very good and they have a lot of different sauces you can add to it if you wish. I liked the potato salad also. They have other sides to choose from which looked great such as the baked beans and mac and cheese. I wanted another side, but since they are a la carte and it would have been a bit pricey for lunch.Overall I think Jacks Bar-B-Que was a good choice for a BBQ lunch in Nashville.

"We popped into Korea BBQ on a whim when we were in the neighborhood. We were seated immediately as a party of two with a small child. They have plenty of high chairs, and all of the servers were so kind to our toddler (even when he dumped a glass of water on me. They had napkins waiting). There are a few All You Can Eat packages here, and we went for A. We had two rounds of thinly sliced beef, juicy pork belly, marinated chicken, bulgogi, and "honey pig" (which I'm assuming is honey marinated pork? It was delicious). All orders come with refillable banchan like bean sprouts, marinated tofu, soy sauce braised potatos, pickled radish, kimchi, and even the ubiquitous (and always slightly confusing) mayo-apple-potato salad. Honestly, I knew I was in an authentic place when they served that particular banchan AND had a call button on the table next the grill.Even at peak hours, the staff still came by to help us with grilling and cutting the meat. It felt like top tier service, and I just cannot believe this was all you can eat. The food quality was amazing, and the efficiency was bar none. $30 a person for set A? You'll be hard pressed to find that deal in any other major city. I've paid upwards of 45 for similar sets elsewhere. There's a great parking situation here, strip mall near a Kroger. Give this a try at your next get together!"
"Hop on my big rigggg babyyyyy, we're going to judge beanssss! I don't know who judge beans is but she can judge my beans anytimee Judge beans embodies a trucker stop style interior with some nice southern service. Our waitress even changed the channel to the Dallas game upon our request, a true patriot indeed. Alright, let's get to the nitty gritty. The sampler is a great solution for 2, maybe 3 people, depending on how hungry everyone is. I would classify this meal into 3 different tiers:Pretty good: - Brisket (a good taste, but I'm not a brisket connoisseur)- Beans (for having beans in the name, they weren't anything crazy but still good- Fries (you don't go to a BBQ place for fries, but they were good) - Mac n Cheese (a solid side dish, but could've had a stronger flavor, A sharp chedder would be better)Some Dagum Good BBQ: - Sausage (very flavorful with a crispy natural casing)- Pulled pork (lathered up with their bbq sauce elevates this shredded pig to one tasty hog)- Diablos (If a guy named Jud were make his own kabobs)Judge my beans babyyy: - The Ribs (the only thing falling off this easy was how I fell for this Chica named Selina), - Fried Okra (obviously this doesn't really have any taste on its own, but it was crispy and was a perfect compliment with the ranch to go with the sweet meats)- Iced Tea (or sweet tea for the native southern folk, which I do not identify with yet as I'm still assimilating from my NY roots)- Wings (quite possibly the best dry rub wings I've ever had, crispy, flavorful, and juicy. You can tell that Jud himself was smoking these wings, "Well I'll be" *insert southern accent*)"
"We needed a late night spot that was still serving food! Pour house was an excellent choice! Pour house isn't just bar food. We all got an excellent meal! The appetizers & drinks were great! The entrees were excellent too! Our server was great! There are plenty of TVs to watch various games but it's still quiet enough to have a conversation. We really enjoyed pour house & we'll be back!"
"Nice mom and pop restaurant, my co worker took us here for lunch the burger was great well cooked the Mac n cheese was meh but I'll definitely be back to try the ribs"
"Shabu Shabu is a very good hot pot restaurant that is a fun time! I've been twice and both times it's been very busy with wait times, so be prepared for that! It's a price fixe menu and you select your broth base with a variety of options. I had the Szechuan base when I came in and ordered it the hot level. I was a little worried it would be all heat, but was pleasantly surprised that it had a very good flavorful broth with a kick of heat on top. You can also add on a grill offering where you grill your own meats at the table. That's a nice option, but I prefer just the hot pot since it's very filling and I found I typically skipped the grilled meats. You select as many meats, veggies, noodles, eggs, etc from the buffet and conveyor belt. They also have sushi and desserts. Be warned that it gets very hot in the restaurant with all the grills and boiling broth happening. The servers are attentive and they have wine, beer and sake. Come very hungry because it's a filling meal!"
"Great service, polite and quick. The brisket was so tender and tasty. My husband loved his ribs and the cornbread was like Momma's."
"I had a very good experience! I used the app to order. I set it for ASAP pick up. Because of the holiday and probably would be busy, I was still able to show up early. The food was ready by the promised time. The food was all there. By the time I got the food home, it was still hot and fresh! Thanks so much for a wonderful meal!"
"Amazing meal at Single Tree! We loved the Mac n cheese, jalapeño sausage, corn bread and brisket! Wow it was all amazing and great for a large sized group. The staff was friendly and efficient."
"Best service and food ever!! Perry's has ruined me from eating ribs from anywhere else."
"Still a cute place to stop to get barbecue. I purchased a coconut pie for a family get together and the family said it was delicious. The service is prompt and they have Apple Pay now."
"Absolutely delicious. The pulled pork plate is so good, it doesn't even need sauce. And I highly recommend the white beans as a side. Customer service was wonderful too!"
"I stopped in yesterday for the first time. Located inside a small strip mall, one could easily pass it if they aren't looking for it, but I was. It was very casual inside, but everyone was working hard on orders. I told them I had never been there before, and a young man brought me a sample of a pork rib. The rib was cooked to perfection, a nice bark but falling apart in my mouth, juicy and flavorful. To me, that was a win to stand in front of the other BBQ places in town. They have several meat options, and I love brisket, so I got the brisket plate with Mac and cheese and green beans. They also give you a piece of cornbread. I took it to go, and when I got home, I had a flavor explosion of love in my mouth. My brisket was tender, and Mac and cheese were on point. However, the two things that stood out the most were the BBQ sauce, clearly homemade with love and a slight twist, or a secret ingredient that set it above the local competition. The cornbread was remarkable. It was moist and airy, almost like a cake, not dense and dry. I could live off that alone. This place is the best I have found in Clarksville.Thank you, Reggies BBQ"
"Pre-lockdown experience.I couldn't let BHM go by without reviewing/promoting a black business. Ooh Wee BBQ is legit. It's in a part of Nashville that tourists and transplants rarely venture* so it can afford to do things like offer leg quarters for a dollar. You read right. A leg quarter will only cost you a dollar. Four quarters and a side is a meal -- and that's just what I landed on.Sure, the ribs smell great. The fried oreos are the truth. A fish sandwich and/or pork chop sandwich will satisfy and make you want a nap. But your wallet can't beat those quarters. It can't. And when you smell and taste the smoke and love that goes into that bird, well, you'll be hooked. For a side, you can't go wrong with the greens. Here's a pro-tip: get 4 quarters, shred the meat and mix them into the greens. You're welcome. Another tip: know where you're going. It's a small shack on the side of a busy street. If you're not looking for it, you'll pass it by. There's on premise parking (and ordering) but when in Rome do as the Romans. In other words, park across the street at the bank, run across the street, order, pay, keep an eye on your car and an ear on your food, get your food, run back across the street, leave. Again, you're welcome.I should get paid for knowledge like this.*But gentrification lurks."
"There's no KBBQ spots near where I live so I was excited to try Arisu while in TN for my birthday week.Honestly I'm not sure if they're trying to be an upscale Korean BBQ restaurant with their fancy gold dinnerware, I definitely felt like I was at a regular restaurant. I missed the huge overhead vents that classic KBBQ spots in CA would have too, that just adds to the ambience.I ordered the spicy rice cake and corn cheese. My husband also got the corn cheese, and the pork belly. I think both of us enjoyed the corn cheese cause who wouldn't enjoy some corn with a heaping amount of cheese... but our main dishes were definitely lacking. I tried some of the pork belly and it didn't have much flavor. It tasted very salty and fatty. I don't think it was worth the $25 price tag. My spicy rice cake was decent but nothing special. If we were to give them a second try I'd probably try their bulgogi beef. Maybe their spicy rice cake and pork belly just aren't the best options on their menu.Service was decent. Our waitress was friendly and came around to check up on us. The restaurant was surprisingly empty for it being a Sunday evening but it may also be because they're a little overpriced.Overall I would say Arisu is ok. Nothing like KBBQ I've had in CA though. Hopefully there are more authentic spots in TN."
"Love their bbq nachos! I always try not to eat the whole plate but it's nearly impossible! Chips, Beans, bbq, piping hot queso and bbq sauce. What's not to love?! Perfection."
"We stopped by Smokin Chicken this evening. It was our first time. We were not wow'ed by it. The customer service was great, food was fast, and the restaurant was clean!! The chicken was ok, yet dry. We did not care for the sides."
"This is on the 2nd Floor of the Food Assembly Hall. I came here because it looked like the best deal in the entire Food Hall. I believe I was right. For $14, I got a large serving of chips, beans, queso, Pulled Pork, and jalapenos. Dreams do come true. I could not finish it all. Even though it was glorious in size, it lacked flavor. I even had pork skin in the nachos that was just blah. They should offer seasoning salt or BBQ sauce to raise the flavor profile. The beans were watery."
"Food good service excellent. Menu with variety. Close to home no wait time. Pulled Pork delicious and 2 sides with cornbread muffin was very tasty too."
