This restaurant has a very mughalai vibe to it. You feel like you've walked to a different time in life. The ambiance is beautiful, each corner has its own story and charm. Plenty of IG photo op corners here for sure. There is a small patio seating too, if you want to enjoy the weather. The food is really good! Plenty of vegan options, we had sev tamatar - and it was soooooooo good! Highly recommend it. I wish that the staff spoke the language to be able to understand the order, but oh well! That didn't deter our experience!Try it out!

We have traveled to 5 different continents to DJ events. Naturally we have an affinity towards travel and food. We have heard great things about Musaafer but hadn't had a chance to try it. We are based in Dallas and this weekend we had events in Houston. After finishing a multi-day Indian wedding weekend, we wanted to have lunch in Musaafer before heading back home. It was the best decision. The food was incredible. We started off with the Pani Puri. It was incredible. 5 different "waters" to try and the presentation was great. Next we had the Masala Papad which I thought would be basic, but it was also good and amazing presentation. We then ordered Chicken Seekh Kebab with rumali roti. The kebab melts in your mouth and the roti is perfect because it helps you not fill up on carbs and pairs really well together. We moved on to the Rizala (which I have never heard of). It is a lamb dish from Kolkata that is yogurt based. We enjoyed it also. After eating all this food, we were full. We were told about the Dal Makhni and told to have it with basmati rice. We were very skeptical since Dal is a traditional home cooked meal usually not ordered at a restaurant. It was great even on a full stomach. Drinks - we had the Shammi's Old Fashion which is a twist on the original with Dark Chocolate. It was good. Next we had the Kohinoor. This has Macallan in a cocktail. Again we were skeptical to try it because we love scotch and normally only have it on the rocks. The moment it arrived at the table we knew we made the right decision. The glass was diamond shaped and came with a stand to place it on. The taste was great. What took this high end, luxurious lunch from great to amazing was the service. We were waited on by Ever. One of the best servers/waiters we have ever experienced in 5 different continents. He was very knowledgeable, attentive and sincere. We hope we have him every time we are there. We had a great conversation with the Beverage Director Afzal Khan who helped create the Kohinoor drink. Atmosphere - The Wine Manager Humberto Salcedo saw us admiring all the amazing decor in the different rooms of the restaurant. He helped guide us through the restaurant and we learned so much about how the decor pieces came straight from India and how each room has its own feel but still comes together so well. Thank you to the entire team of Musaafer. We hope to come back soon and often. The best lunch experience we have ever had. Looking forward to being back for Dinner and one of your special events.

Came for my friend's birthday. It's located in the gallery but with dedicated self and valet parking right out front. They have decor on the first level to guide you to the stairs or elevators to get upstairs. This restaurant is beautiful decorated and staged. It really feels like you e been transported out America. The place is massive with diff where rooms with different decor and even an outdoor patio. We were greeted by one waiter once we were seated who explained the restaurant concept and was great but then we were passed off to another waitress. The second waitress was not as relaxed and got a couple of things wrong in our orders throughout the night which took away from the experience. We started with the pani puri and the tamarind water was the best but with found the pockets to be too thin with not enough filling especially for how much water they give you. They do sell extra pockets but we didn't get more. I had the montrose drink good rush style and it was so cool to know there was local honey. It tasted good but not strong at all so I switched to the pornstar martini for my second drink which was the best one I've ever had. The champs shooter was so cute! I had the tandoori hen and shared the onion and cumin rice and both were delicious. The hen is small so if you have a big appetite order something else. I also train the goan fish curry and though the curry was too fish for the delicate bass. The butter chicken experience came in 2 with a traditional butter chicken that was just ok and a green butter chicken with a Mexican twist that was delicious! We had the chocolate rose for dessert that was really cool and yummy. All in all a pricey Indian restaurant that delivers in flavor and decor but a bit lacking in service. I would return.

First off, the interior of this place is GORGEOUS and so well decorated! Everything seems to have been intricately crafted and placed perfectly, giving each room a different vibe. Honestly for a place this fancy, the prices weren't nearly as bad as other upscale Indian restaurants in Houston! The service was fantastic, everyone was extremely kind and encouraged you to go check out each of the rooms while you wait on your food/drinks! Pani puri: the different flavors of pani made this dish even more enjoyable! The puri itself was so fresh and authentic tasting. Each combination was packed with so much flavor, we absolutely loved it and even drank all the remaining pani. Must tryyyyDal makhani and garlic naan: didn't think this was anything super special. Could use a little more spice but was very creamy and the texture was perfect. The naan was fluffy and made fresh. Chaanp: the meat was cooked insanely well, literally melted in your mouth. You can appreciate this dish if you like subtle flavors like the beetroot dust adds an ever so slight sweetness and the side of crème fresh makes it a bit creamy. Biryani: they gave a huge portion and we even had leftovers with 3 of us sharing all these dishes. Bang for your buck but not the best biryani I've had in the area. Mango colada: the presentation on this was adorable. Served in a little coconut with coconut shavings on top. The drink itself was super creamy and not too sweet. It is coconut heavy so if you're not a fan then maybe try the mango cooler instead:)

The first time I ate here was in 2021 and my experience in 2024 was even better than the last time. I didn't realize how much I loved Indian cuisine until trying Musaafer. The service was great. Our server recommended a red wine that was really good called Archimedes. It was perfect and went down very smooth and although it was a Cabernet Sauvignon, it was still a little sweet and not dry. I was impressed by this. I started off with the lamb chop appetizer. Wow! I was lost for words once it hit my taste buds. I'm used to smoked/grilled lamb chops but Musaafer's lamb chops had a curry flavor and the meat (that marinated for 72 hours) was falling off the bone style tender. It was amazing!Next, I ordered the Dum Ki Ribs with onion & cumin rice + balchao potatoes. My guest had the beef vindaloo and a premium beer that I can't recall the name of. Our bill came out to $400+ but it was only because the bottle of wine was about $200. The prices are not over the top considering the food and service is exceptional. The Indian art aesthetics are amazing and the ambiance has a modern, trendy, golden palace vibe to it. The bathroom and entry is wheelchair accessible. This place is a must visit. There is something on the menu for everyone as they also serve organic, vegan and vegetarian dish options available. They have self parking and valet service and it is inside of the Galleria across from Nobu.

Amazing, over the top Indian food. Not your regular Indian restaurant but classy place. Different types of dishes very well presented and with different gravies (curries) with subtle flavors that make you instantly want to go back. Perfect portions as well. A must go. Was told by my Indian business associate that the bar also has your common cocktails that are additionally infused with Indian spices. My Asian peers also enjoyed as all was easily a 5 star or more. Staff was attentive to all our needs and highly professional. Well over the top here.

Sure, here's a review:"Indulging in an evening at Musafeer was a delightful journey through the vibrant flavors of Indian cuisine. From the moment we stepped in, the warm ambiance set the stage for an exquisite dining experience. The attentive staff guided us through the menu, offering recommendations that perfectly complemented our preferences. Each dish, meticulously prepared with authentic spices and fresh ingredients, was a testament to the chef's expertise. The flavors danced on our palates, from the rich and creamy butter chicken to the aromatic biryanis bursting with fragrant spices. The naan, freshly baked in a traditional clay oven, was the perfect accompaniment to soak up every last bit of sauce. The attention to detail and commitment to quality truly elevated our dining experience. Without a doubt, [Restaurant Name] is a culinary gem that I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone seeking an unforgettable taste of India."
