Mr. Shark Chicago Style Fish & Chicken

Who doesn't love good fried chicken? They cook the chicken to order so it's hot and fresh. I placed my order when I arrived and it was like a 15-20 minute wait. They also sprinkle some sort of seasoning on the chicken. It's not overpowering the fried chicken but it adds to the flavor. When I went inside, the workers and customers were wearing a mask. I got the 6 piece chicken wing which comes with 2 sides for $7.99. However, only a few sides like fries are included in that price. I got fried okra for one of my sides and that was a $1.50 upcharge. Overall, I enjoyed my chicken, fries and fried okra. I look forward to trying their fried fish when I return. And I'll definitely be back for some more chicken.

1st going and I had an amazing experience. They did No disappoint. Great seafood selection and well seasoned!

So I really just wanted some good old fashioned whole wings and a decent side other than fries. Proximity and other reviews on the food itself were the determining factors that made me decide to finally try this spot. I wanted to find an unpretentious spot with good wings so I decide to try Mr. Shark last night. The menu was pretty simple so I went with the 3 wings and 1 side. I'm tired of fries and picky about Mac and cheese so I asked if the potato salad was homemade 3 times as was told yes so that's what I ordered. My food was ready in about 10 minutes and I couldn't wait to get it home and try it out. So first off, the portion size of the side was minuscule and was the same size of condiments I was given for the wings and it definitely wasn't homemade. Note to self...never get the potato salad again. The saving grace were the wings! They were seasoned! They were juicy! They are were crunchy! They hit the spot! I will definitely be back again to get my wing fix but next time I'll just stick with fries.

Every time you come it's a different rule. Sometimes you get a beverage with your dinner, but if they aren't feeling you you won't. The food is just ok

If I could leave a zero I would. This place used to be good the quality sucks now! Check your order before you leave or save your money.

Me and my husband decided to order from here tonight because our daughter likes their fried chicken. I call to place an order and I was greeted by a very rude young lady which I found out was the OWNERS DAUGHTER. She picks up the phone and says "I have your number blocked because you didn't pick up an order last time. No you cannot place an order black bitch." YES you read that correctly she called me a BLACK BITCH and before I could even say anything or respond she hung up the phone in my face. I have never in my life been so angry I couldn't believe she really said that to me. So I call my husband and tell him what happens and he pulls up to the store to try to figure out why the girl on the phone was being disrespectful. When he entered this establishment they started accusing him of calling in an order at 5pm today( that's a lie because I don't get off work until 7pm and I was the one who TRIED to call the order in). Then they keep saying they have our numbers blocked from calling but if my phone number was blocked how was I able to call and you answered the phone?? IF YOU BLOCK A NUMBER ON YOUR PHONE AND THAT PERSON TRIES TO CALL YOU IT WILL GO STRAIGHT TO VOICEMAIL!!!! That's common knowledge. They FALSELY ACCUSED US FOR SOMETHING WE DIDNT DO. My husband then tries to show them PROOF in his call log that we didn't call earlier that day but the OWNER didn't care to hear anything he had to say or show his innocence. As my husband was trying to show the owner his phone he notices that the owner was gripping on his GUN that he has on his waist that is very visible. I then told my husband to just leave because no one wants to get SHOT OR KILLED OVER A LIE THAT THEY ACCUSED US OF. He completely disregarded everything my husband was saying and no longer wanted to serve us which is fine but FALSELY ACCUSING SOMEONE OF SOMETHING THEY DIDNT DO ISNT RIGHT. I will tell everyone and anyone to never spend a dollar at this establishment. They treated us so horrible and I honestly could not believe this was happening to us. They DO NOT care about the community that they serve which are majority BLACK PEOPLE. How can you treat people like this in your OWN community and majority of your customers are BLACK. Disgusting. It's ok because one thing about GOD he don't play about his children and YOU WILL REAP WHAT YOU SOW!!!!!!!

The best fried chicken in Durham. Its fried so crispy, and they sprinkle lemon pepper seasoning on it, and that takes it to a different level . Its so good

Unbelievable catfish!!! Flavor is incredible, moist, and nonexistent greasy. Some of the best fish I've had in my 55 years on this planet. Make sure you save room for their hush puppies. Delicious! Nice honey flavor. Will absolutely be back again!!!
