I love the atmosphere and everyone's happy vibes make you wanna spend your money here. Just need them to do way better with the freshness of the food selections. Please stop handling the food improperly, there is no way my food is spoiled 2hrs later if it's fresh meat. But it was cooked fresh, so was it old meat? Stop reusing yesterday's old food or whatever it was in the beans. I'm not coming back. Just make sure you order something sweet cause that is all I can say that was good.

The staff is wonderful, the food selection is great, the portions are more than generous and the taste is like home cooking, which is why I continue to come back when my waistline permits. As Soul Food goes, theirs is the best that I have found in the Houston metropolitan area.

I'm a little late with my post but felt it's needed. I visited this place once and boy did I want to love it! Staff was very nice and friendly and typically I wouldn't write a review if the staff was nice and everything else was wrong but when me and my family health is compromised I have to speak on it. My entire family all ordered food (takeout) and everyone of us got sick! The only thing that we could think of is 1) food was off temperature 2) serving old expired food from days before 3) Sanitary measures not up to par or 4) ALL OF THE ABOVE! Not sure but it's enough for me to not return. If I would base my review on the customer service it would be 5 stars, but my review is based solely on food quality!

I have seen this place every time I pass by. Today I decided to patronize this establishment after a good recommendation. Well I am sad and happy. First I am sad cause I should have been stopped by a longtime ago when I first saw it. I am happy because it was very delicious and I will be back regularly. The prices are very reasonable, great portions of food and they were very courteous. I recommend this place to any one.
