Monk's Cheesesteaks & Cheeseburgers

One of the best cheesesteaks outside of Philly! Everything was excellent tasting. There's no reason to eat one anywhere else.

Pretty tasty cheesesteak. If you are in Greensboro and need a quick, high quality sandwich, Monk's is reliable. A little greasy, but an above average cheesesteak, particularly for the area. The staff is extremely nice and they are worthy of your business.

One of my favorite go to places for a good cheesesteak! Monks offers a little bit of everything from cheesesteaks to hot dogs to hamburgers. There a little for everyone. My go to order is the American Philly w/ no mushrooms (I know, I know. I've just never liked mushrooms ‍) and an order of the cheese fries or an order of the onion rings. One thing l love about Monk's is the consistency, we are going on almost 3 years since we first discovered them, and they have yet to disappoint. The meat is always tender paired with the perfect amount of cheese, peppers, and onions and not to mention the perfect steamy bread! We have gotten a few other items before as well! Would definitely recommend a chili cheese dog as well. If you are looking for a good solid tasting cheesesteak, I would highly recommend Monks!!

The New York Cheesesteak in this place is one of the best cheesesteaks I've ever..... The cheese on this thing was hot enough to melt and cover all of the steak like a cheesesteak is supposed to have... every bite was delicious... if you like cheesesteaks go get one at Monks...

Excellent service food is delicious. Met owner he is from Brooklyn and so is his staff. Food is delicious. Recommend paying them a visit. You also can order online and just drive up to the window and pick it up. When you order online you get a lot of freebies!! Highly recommend you do that also .?

I had a craving for cheesesteak, and happened to be passing by, so I stopped in. The man who seem to be the owner was so welcoming and friendly. I asked him if he had A1 sauce because often steak sandwiches are too bland for me. He said he did not have A1 sauce but that I wouldn't need it... And wow was he right! It was so delicious... And hot! I was so hungry and it smelled so good that I couldn't wait to go home and eat it, so I sat down right there in the restaurant and started to eat it. But it was too hot to eat so I had to wait. I will definitely be back.

Very, very simple. Good food, dirty restaurant. Floor hadn't been mopped in recent history. Cheese steak was one of the best I'd had. Would I go back... yeah. But be aware of what you are walking into. By the way, the owner and wait staff are very nice.

My boyfriend picked us up cheesesteaks from Monks the other night. As always the food was great! I ordered the New York style cheesesteak and it was delicious. The meat is seasoned well and cooked perfectly. Even after the drive home (it's about 15 minutes away from us), the food was still so warm that it fogged up my camera when I tried to snap photos. We shared sides of onion rings and fries. I really liked the onion rings, they were crispy and golden on the outside. I think the fries are just okay but the real star of the show here is the cheesesteaks. I didn't get one this time but their hotdogs are pretty good as well. I've gotten their chili cheese dog a few times and really liked it.

don't go here meet was pink and there costumer service is trash. they don't even refund for raw food. it was horrible do not go here it made me sick to my stomach all the good reviews come from the cook and the ppl who run it, the food here is cheep for a reason.

Food is money and service is great. Love the owner and his son. Great experience and better food.
