Miss Patty's Wagon

It was my first time in Houston and my first time at this restaurant. My family of 17 were the only people in the place, and it still took 1hour and 30 min to bring our food. The food was salty and lacked flavor. And although the staff was very friendly and the placed looked nice and clean, it was hotter in the building than it was outside. I wouldn't recommend.

Went into the brick and mortar spot, sat down with my family, and had Sunday dinner. Only those down home country folk know what I mean. What do you know about seasoned soft juicy cabbage, spicy red beans and rice, chicken flavored to the bone, finger licking fried catfish, cornbread, thick gravy black eyed peas? Mac and cheese was just ok. Cornbread was good. Peach tea should be bottled and sold...would put some others out of business. Sweet. Cold. Refreshing. Four stars bc we didn't like the vinegar in the collard greens. Just guessing, but it tasted like...well...vinegar. Whoever followed Grandma and nem recipe for the peach cobbler def made them proud! Go on ahead now with yo bad self! Def worth a visit if you like real soul food. Motown. Loud, but not too crowded. Steady stream of customers for pick up. No outside seating. Good prices for good food. Black owned. Woman owned.

I finally found a place that tastes like home. The oxtails were falling off the bone and seasoned to perfection. The cornbread muffin is homemade and melts in your mouth. I also had the peach cobbler which was just as delicious. I ordered through Uber Eats and my food arrived hot & fresh.

My husband was in the neighborhood and told me he saw this place. I've been meaning to try this place since it opened and I am SO happy I did. I asked him if there were any daily special and he sent me a pic. I chose the fried catfish with opelousas sauce over dirty rice. Y'all. It was so good!!! This only knock I have is the sauce had oysters in it and I don't care for those. Next time I order this, I will ask if I can get the sauce without it. I also added hush puppies to my order and y'all...them hush puppies were NOISY (this is a great thing). I'll see myself out. ‍

Just happened to pass by Miss Patty's and had to stop. Ordered 2 pork chop dinners and a oxtail dinner with peach cobbler and lemon cake. OMG - chops were so juicy and well-seasoned. I definitely recommend and will be back!

I ordered the smothered pork chop meal. The food taste good, I just don't like the fact that rice isn't automatic when it comes to smothered foods.

Literally on my way to Popeyes...had a craving for fried chicken but i didnt want typical fast food so i decided i would try Calliope chicken. While enroute, i saw Miss Pattys and thought surely they serve fried chicken. They do but unfortunately only dark meat unless you opt for wings. Since i was there, i decided to order being that it was my first time. The wings did not come with any home style sides...fries only. It was.making me think of fast food, which is what i didnt want so i ordered the 6 pc wing dinner and told them to nix the fries. Well, 6 pieces was actually three pieces.. cut in half. Flavor was ok but not worth the $11 price tag. Regretting my decision to forego the fries bcuz i am still hungry

Support this black owned business.. Food is Vibe is lit and the music had me wanting to get my 2 step on.. Just sayin

Service was bad and the quality of the food is not worth the price, the mac & cheese was not edible.

Our experience at Miss Patty's was excellent! Not only is her restaurant clean and eclectically decorated, her staff was so friendly. My husband and I received a very warm welcome the moment we entered the restaurant. The food is fresh and delicious! The atmosphere is reminiscent of the Motown era with pictures and music of that period. My husband and I are letting our friends know about this neighborhood gem! We will be returning soon!
