If you're interested in trying an omakase, this was a really enjoyable experience. I reserved a table via Resy. I chose the $85 14-course package, and I must say that I really enjoyed it. After 14 courses, we were full, therefore there were two more courses in the following tier! It was in the corner, inside the secret sanctuary. A must-try if you're looking for a reasonably priced omakase!

I have been wanting to try Miss Crispy Rice but it's a bit far from me. I took advantage of coming here during Miami Spice. They had a 13 course dinner for $60. Good but not great. First course started off strong. Tasty sashimi. Fresh and served chill on ice. The dumplings were the second course and my guest and I were both disappointed. Not good. Next few items were nigiri but on crispy rice. Had a spicy tuna and an eel. The issue is the crispy rice was too tall. We had a hard time and would have had a better experience if they were flatter. The fish roe on eel was unique though and I liked it. The next piece was scallop with a small taste of uni. The crispy rice took over the taste here. Again, the crispy rice can be more flatter so it isn't a dominant taste. Next we had regular nigiri on sushi rice. There was no sauce brushed on these so we didn't like that. Should have at least a soy sauce or wasabi. The handroll that we had next was a shrimp tempura roll. Didn't exactly fit with a nori sheet. We then tried a beef and egg rice bowl. Beef had good flavor. The miso soup that came next had too much stuff in it. My guest didn't like it. They didn't provide us with a spoon so it was hard to sip it when corn was sitting at the bottom of the bowl. Last, we had an ice cream that was nice and refreshing. We thought they took too much time in between each course. The staff is also not fixated on customer service. For my entire seating, we were all doing Miami Spice. It was prepaid and tip was already included on the booking. The service didn't seem like they were on it. But they got the job done.

Not worth it. It seems cool in theory: Small setting, seated around the sushi bar and 13 courses but it was all mostly a facade. The sushi there was basic AF. Something you can get anywhere, tasted fine but nothing to write home about. It was the quality of a 3 star Thai/Japanese restaurant but the difference was they handed you a piece of sushi or crispy rice roll one at a time. It was weird, you would expect it to tatse way better than it did. There's another omakase place inside the fashion district MIA food hall which is about the same price I paid here ($60 during miami spice) and wayyyy better. Also, the lady serving the sushi looked mad for some reason. Wasn't engaging with any of the customers. So not worth it imo

Had an awesome Miami Spice 10 course omakase lunch for $35 here today. It was great to not have to decide what to order and just enjoy the various textures and flavors of the food!! We had salmon crudo, 2 pork dumplings, 3 different crispy rice (scallop, Bluefin tuna poke & eel), a nigiri, a Japanese nigiri (torched salmon belly), a panko shrimp hand roll topped with egg tartar and yuzu drizzle, leek butter soup and pistachio gelato with salted yuzu topped with dark cherry shaved ice (OMG!) for dessert. Lunch and the service were both great! Thank you Miguel and our wonderful waitress who's name I didn't get.BTW, they open at 11:30 am for lunch not 12 noon!

Came thru for a Miami Spice lunch, and it was my first omakase experience. Great deal and I was definitely satisfied, my group felt that it hit the spot. It was hard to really pick a favorite thing, because it all went really well together, but I loved the Eel (tasted like a Volcano Roll), the Panko Shrimp handroll, Uni, and the dessert was a nice closer. Chef spent a bit interacting with us which we appreciated. I would say this is a perfect casual spot or first time omakase, looking forward to doing more of them and will be back for dinner!

So turns out this place is reservations only, however they require you to also pre pay for the reservation including tips! This is something that I have never seen before in my adult life. BooooooooBut that wasn't even the worst part, we showed up without a reservation, and they had plenty of room, we got seated and we're just about to order when the hostess came and said that she confused something and that it's reservation only and that we will have to leave now. Honestly, with this kinda of approach, I was happy to take my money elsewhere.

Came all the way from Colorado. Was so excited to taste and try their Miami spice menu. Arrived and found out it was reservation only. Nothing in their social media states reservation only.

I'm obsessed with crispy rice. This place delivers! Whenever we make it to Miami I always think about stopping off here but usually it's out of the way. We stumbled upon them last year and I forgot to review at that time but both experiences were excellent. They're located in a small food Hall area tucked into the back of the Oasis in Wynwood, MiamiDuring our most recent visit they asked us if we had reservations, and we didn't. Luckily they weren't fully booked but they let us know that we had about an hour before we would have to move along before seating us so definitely think about getting reservations especially on a weekend! I went with the crispy rice flight, which included truffle avocado, scallop, salmon, spicy tuna, and fatty tuna. The rice balls were deliciously crispy and of course the toppings were out of this world. If you haven't tried crispy rice before you really need to! I was not aware that in many cultures the crispy bits of rice are considered a delicacy, and highly coveted, similar to brownies from the edge of the pan, for the crispy parts of the lasagna. Starting off with the intention to actually make the crispy rice is definitely a game changer. Our chef and the other staff were quite friendly and helpful we really enjoyed our visit definitely check them out!
