Miso Ko

A delicious little sushi place at Ponce City Market! The staff were busy yet friendly. They give you a paper menu and you check off everything you would like to order, and it comes out faster than most sushi places! The sushi was INCREDIBLY fresh! We had the spicy tuna hand roll, fatty tuna nigiri, salmon nigiri, unagi nigiri, and tamago nigiri. We were so hungry and everything looked SO good that I completely forgot to take a pic; we had our place finished in about 10 minutes! Pro tip: don't be shy, pull up a seat at the bar!

The service is wonderful, but it's on the pricy side and the quality isn't great. Setting: Inside Ponce City Market near Kin No Tori ramen bar; there's stools and an area to order to go. It can feel really busy. Service: Wonderful staff who are nice and pushing food out quickly.Food: The fish sits in the cold container uncovered next to other raw fish. Aside from the fact that my salmon avocado roll contained no avocado, it also concerned me that my fish was on the slimy side. For $15 for the nigiri and hand roll, take your money elsewhere.

SERVICE (3/5):There was literally no one else at this restaurant and 2 service workers in the back. No one really approached us or said anything so we just grabbed some menus and took a seat at the sushi bar. It took like 10 minutes before our server came out from the back. After she arrived, it was quick service, but she must have been on break. The fact that the other 2 workers didn't say a word was kind of weird.FOOD (2/5): Obviously this is a fast food sushi roll place so I can't have high expectations. It was good for the price,$7 SHRIMP TEMPUR MAKI ROLL: this was better than the other roll I ordered. The crispy texture of the shrimp tempura was perfect with the rice! $8 SALMON AVOCADO MAKI ROLL: This was edible, but not the best salmon. Small fish portion. AMBIANCE (3/5): It's inside PONCE CITY MARKET. So it's always busy & bustling.

Overall 4/5: My boyfriend and I love stopping in here for a quick lunch in between classes. Located in PCM, very fast and friendly service, yummy food! Our fav go to spot when my son is on break from college. The sushi is always fresh, great service and pretty fast. We try something new every time and we are never disappointed. Make sure to stop by for a quick grab and go.

Though a bit pricier than sushi around town, the rolls here are always well portioned, tasty and filling. Today I order the Ahi Ahi Maki and it wasn't your typical spicy tuna roll--SO GOOD. I love coming here by myself and treating myself to "fancy" sushi while at work, but makes it a good date spot and adventurous enough for sushi first-timer. I ordered to-go today and the service was quick without compromising the quality. It is located on the first floor of Ponce, right by the ramen spot, and seating is limited but often available.

This restaurant is located in the middle of Ponce City Market. Service was fantastic. We sat at the bar.My fiancé said that it was one of the best cucumber salads he's had. It had a sweetness to it.We tried both types of sake, but didn't love either one. The mango sake was okay, but it was a little too sweet and thick.Sushi was good, but not fantastic. Overall, a good experience.

Love this place! PCM can be crowded, but this is always good for a grab and go. They have lots of options for all dietary restrictions, and some fun drink options too! Portion sizes are good and prices aren't bad. There's some seating nearby so if you don't want to stand and wait, someone will call your name when your order is ready!

I only got to try the ramen from Miso Ko and I was thoroughly impressed by it! The two most important qualities I look for in good ramen are the broth and noodle texture. The broth in my tonkotsu was absolutely delicious. It was flavorful and almost creamy. The noodles were of an appropriate texture. I would've preferred them to be more al dente, but they still get a pass in my book. The toppings and meat were of a minimal amount.We came here at a busy time (7pm on a Saturday night), but our kind hostess had us seated within 15 minutes. Service was a little slow but the restaurant was pretty packed. I'd come here again and hopefully get to try their appetizers and other ramen choices!

The food looked like sushi, but unfortunately, did not taste like one. I ordered the dragon roll, but it was mostly avocado with barely two small pieces of eel on top, making it hard to enjoy the intended flavors. I also tried the hamachi and white tuna sashimi, both of which tasted off and lacked freshness. The uni nigiri was particularly disappointing, as it had an unusual bitter taste, unlike any uni I've had before. To make matters worse, I experienced an upset stomach shortly after eating. As a long-time sushi enthusiast who's tried everything from casual mall stalls to fine dining, I was disappointed to have paid $50 for this meal. I cannot recommend this place."
