"It's more like a 4.5 but I'll round up. This little sushi Thai spot holds a lot of flavor. Their menu is quite large with so much to choose from. The staff is super friendly and answered the many questions my table had and even flipped through their TV menu because my nephew saw a picture of something he liked but didn't know the name. That extra step they took added to our amazing experience. The service is quick and the food is freshly made. For appetizers started with chicken. Egg rolls and pot stickers. Loved them both. The crispness of the pot stickers was sheer perfection. The crab Rangoons were a bit bigger than I was expecting. It was my first time having them. I'm still on the fence with taste. Their sushi lists has a lot of options we finally decided on three of them and they were all pretty tasty. Sushi is a hit or a miss for me, but this place does it well. The main entrees I always love a good pad thai and this place is up there on my list of pad thai places. The sesame chicken was also seasoned really well. Every one in my group seemed to enjoy their meals. My mom had the salmon thai she was hoping the salmon would have been grilled or something extra it was bland for her. They do a special thing for birthdays which is nice. Overall a great visit and if I'm not trying to go into the city for sushi this place does the job."
"It was alright. The food was fine but nothing exceptional. I do recommend the gyoza. I do not recommend the calamari, it was more batter than meat. Hibachi chicken was good, a huge portion. Wait staff was alright."

"The food here rocks. The fried rice? Amazing! It's got beef, shrimp, and chicken all mixed in, and somehow, everything just works together perfectly. It looks as good as it tastes, too, making you want to dive right in.Then there were the tempura sweet potatoes. They're crispy on the outside, super soft on the inside, and just the right kind of sweet. Definitely grabbing these again next time. The sweet and sour chicken....the chicken was soft, the coating was just crispy enough without being oily, and the sauce was the bomb - sweet, sour, and clinging to every bite. It's the kind of dish that makes you wonder why other places can't get it this right.Washed it all down with some milk tea, which was the perfect call. It's light, refreshing, and just the thing to balance out all those flavors."
"My friend and I had reservations at 4:30 right when they opened, we were greeted immediately and sat down promptly. Service was great -- our server Cam was attentive and fun to banter with.Ambience was nice and the noise level was loud enough to be bustling but quiet enough you could enjoy a conversation. We ordered the seaweed salad, ika salad, and four sushi rolls. All were delicious and tasted very different from each other. We were surprised at how much you could taste the char from the Anniversary roll, it was a unique experience.Would definitely come back here and have already told quite a few friends to go check it out!"
"Went here for takeout today. The food was pretty good and had some good options for vegetarians! We really liked the sesame tofu.We couldn't call ahead to order and they were super packed so the food took a long time. But overall it was good, and I'd suggest checking it out!"
"Ooh yes! Amazingly flavorful food and drinks! Excited to come back there again! Tried fried avocado, umami fries and sumo ramen."
"Great sushi at a great price in Madison! My partner doesn't like fish/sushi, so I took my friend up on a sushi date to her favorite local spot when visiting.I love the area! And to match Muramoto has a stunning interior. Dark and wood elements, it feels very peaceful and upscale. They offer a variety of nigiri, regular, and specialty rolls - all pretty standard pricing. But the real winner? Their Sushi Combos. These are chef's choice of the categories, with a few different combo options. We went for the Maki Combo: 3 rolls - 1 regular, 1 inside-out, and 1 special roll (all chef's choice) for $25. That's a heck of a deal considering some specialty rolls are $16! We ended up getting the Rainbow Roll as our specialty roll, which had a ton of fresh fish and would have been our choice anyway. We ended up adding the dragon roll as well which was delicious and saucy. Service was kind and helpful - when I forgot my bag at the restaurant, they held onto it for me until I could come retrieve it. Try their sushi combos!"
"I was happy to see that they brought back their dine-in option recently!During my visit I ordered Crab Rangoon and Szechwan Chicken with saki (Tozai 'Snow Maiden' Negori).Crab Rangoon made for a good appetizer as I waited for the entree. As a fan of spicy food, I found the Szechwan Chicken to be a good balance of flavor and heat. Far from overwhelming, but enough to get a small reaction as I finished my plate."
"Haven't visited in quite a while, particularly for dinner. The current chef seems to be doing a respectable job with ingredient selection and traditional preparation techniques. I didn't think we'd ever find Tara no Kiku (cod milt) fresh in Mundelein, but they're doing it. They have a nice selection to dine izakaya style. It's pretty spendy though, being higher than other similar spots around."
"Just about the only game in town for Asian cuisine and is pleasant surprise. Great sushi and Thai food."
"We've had both dine-in and delivery multiple times and it's all great. Healthy portions on sushi and sashimi. On the conveyor a nice selection of both classic and eclectic offerings. If you don't see something you want, you can order it from your server and it will come out on the conveyor straight to you. Probably the most conveyor seating I've seen at any rotary sushi place. Fun ambiance for the kids, including character themed chopstick holders. Well priced for both sushi and kitchen items. My go-to for ramen. If you visit on your birthday, they let you "spin the wheel" for a coupon toward your next visit."
"Ambiance *****Menu ****Location ****Value/Quality *****Service ****Overall, I'd give it a 4.5 stars. First visit and we were pleasantly surprised with Wonita Sushi. Large menu and choices. We had the dumplings, Fire Dragon roll and salmon shashimi (total $34) and it was very good. We were in a hurry but I would have liked to sample more from the menu. Large place with a lot of seating. A sushi bar that no one was seated at. Very clean all around with plenty of parking. We will be back to try other items. My favorite has been Fujiyama but we definitely will be back. We got takeout from this restaurant last night and it was great. They have a menu item they call the gluten-free bowl which is what I got.Everyone in our party got a bowl of some thing and everyone liked it. Also, that they give away free miso soup when you pick up. It is not gluten-free, but everyone else said it was good. Prices were fair.

Ordered six sushi rolls for takeout on a Saturday afternoon - beautiful presentation with delicious rolls! We tried the Golden Dragon, Oishi roll, Pink and Black roll, Dynamite, Crazy Dragon, and Paradise roll. Favorite was Paradise, but they were all really good. Plenty of wasabi and ginger on the side. We also had the Bullet appetizer which was yummy, although I wished the jalapeno was a little more cooked... It was pretty crunchy. Definitely recommend, will be coming back to try the rest of the menu!

The food is always spot on But maybe due to language barrier, when I called for reservations for 4, and said I would like a table along the wall, directly to left when you enter dining room), I arrive and we have a table smack dab in middle of room She moved us to my request of table along the wall This has happened before, so just be prepared Also, out of Plum wine Again Cmon!!

My husband and I were super excited to visit & it did not disappoint! The vibe is very cool & different. Service staff is lovely, very knowledgeable, and everyone is so so kind. And of course food & drinks are a 10/10. Definitely a must hit if you're looking for some yummy, warm, comfort food or if you want to impress folks with a unique menu & experience!

Food 4/5 - The Maki Combo had 3 rolls with salmon in it. I love salmon but I would have liked to try different kinds of fish. Soft shell crab roll was delicious! Service 5/5 - The waiters and servers were nice and attentive. Ambiance 5/5 - Nice and cozy interior. Tables were a little bit close to each other. Overall, I recommend going to Muramoto for good sushi in the Madison area!

"Great friendly service. Enjoyed the adventure of the river boat sushi! Don't forget you can ask for whatever roll you want to be circulated on the river."
"Go to place for anything! Date with friends, family, spouse. Love the calm and friendly atmosphere. Food is perfect as always!"
"Great deal on the lunch menu. I always leave here full and satisfied. Fresh fish and quick service"
"Ordered a variety of food with some friends for takeaway. I cannot speak to the establishment itself, but the carry out process was smooth and quick. The restaurant is on the smaller side and was a bit crowded when we picked up our food on a week night. There are a couple tables outside when the weather is nice.We ordered pad Thai, a green salad with ginger dressing, a classy Cali roll, mantou, rice and roll dumplings, pad see eiw, and green curry. A small feast. The pad Thai was disappointing and the classy Cali roll was mediocre, but everything else was delicious! We all thought the curry was interesting and we couldn't get enough, the mantou and dumplings were large servings and so tasty."
"Holy cow! This place isAwesome. I was told we were going here for my kids birthday lunch. I blew it off as just a lunch, I was wrong. The place is casual and unassuming, but who cares? The service was friendly and attentive, so that is great. As a family we had the pork dumplings (name?), I think it was Gyoza, And they were delish. As a main I had the black Garlic Ramen and it was delish. The broth was indescribable and the pork and noodles were the bests. My wife had the veggie tempura and loved it. My kids, 15 and 19 had a California roll and loved it. Such a great place. Get the Ramen. Go! Here!!"
"Our experience at Shakou was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we made our reservation via the Resy Global dining app to the moment we left, every aspect of our evening was impeccable.Upon arrival, the restaurant was bustling with activity, but the staff managed everything seamlessly. The ambience was outstanding, with a unique and captivating atmosphere that set the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. Initially seated in a corner, we were delighted when the staff kindly offered us a booth, enhancing our comfort and enjoyment. Our culinary adventure at Shakou began with the Lamb Chops. Though the portion size was small, the taste was outstanding. Each bite offered a burst of flavors, perfectly cooked to perfection. It was a delightful start to our meal.We also indulged in the Bul Go Gi Egg Roll, which was a delectable combination of Korean BBQ flavors wrapped in a crispy shell. The explosion of savory goodness made this dish an absolute favorite. The Firecracker Shrimp and Sweet Chili Chicken Katsu were equally impressive, showcasing the chef's expertise in creating dishes that perfectly balance flavors and textures.Throughout our time at Shakou, the service was exceptional. The attentive and knowledgeable staff made us feel welcome and attended to our every need. From their recommendations to their warm and friendly demeanor, the service truly enhanced our overall experience. In summary, Shakou provided us with a dining experience that exceeded our expectations. The outstanding food, unique ambience, and attentive service created an unforgettable evening. Whether it was the Lamb Chops, Bul Go Gi Egg Roll, or other dishes we tried, each bite was a delightful journey of flavors. We highly recommend Shakou to anyone seeking a fantastic culinary adventure.Note: This review is based on a personal dining experience and reflects our honest opinions."
"Place is just so small and sometimes have to wait for a table. But their bento box is so good, steak teriyaki and shrimp tempura are my go to, I like their side salad and dressing and miso soup. Fresh fruit smoothies are great too."
"Food was delicious! The salad bar was really limited and some things were out. The chicken katsu was pricey for what it was as well. The ramen was delicious, my daughter really enjoyed her noodles, and I loved the chirashi. Very fresh and good selection. The roll was also really good. We will be back!"
"I've dined at Meiji for many years now and I'm surprised I haven't written a review.A very large restaurant with lots of seating, fairly large bar in the center of the restaurant and completely separated. They have six hibachi grills. I've been here for hibachi and sushi and enjoyed both. Of course the entertainment for the hibachi is what you come for and that is dependent on the chef you have. Good atmosphere and never too loud. Service is always very good. As for sushi, it is good but I prefer one other place over Meiji but that is personal taste. Recently, I've noticed the portions of the sushi has gotten smaller. Overall still very good and I'll be back depending on my mood.in the Waukesha area:Other hibachi: try AsianaOther Sushi: Asiana, Pacific Bistro, Sakura and my favorite Fujiyama"
"Need something quick for a large group?? Journeys is my go-to cater spot. Since they're a buffet, they can have trays of food ready in as little as 15 minutes! Great for last minute get-togethers. If you're looking for several dishes at a time, call ahead a few days as courtesy.Dining in isn't too bad either. There's a good variety for all types of eaters--from a basic sushi selection to several buffet carts, to the Mongolian grill, and various noodle soups and baked goods/sweets! Service has always been great!"
"Second time was everything I needed and wanted from a sushi place. The fresh salmon yellowfin was the best thing ever. Ahi is the tuna I eat often in recent months, but having it served fresh enough to be raw is a treat to experience here in the Midwest. Typically salmon is my favorite seafood but these days I think I'm leaning towards the tuna more and more. The presentation of the item I ordered was something I didn't expect and in truth I won't be ordering whatever it was again. I didn't think to take a photo of the plate on delivery, which is something I regret more than actually ordering something that was so ornate when it didn't serve the dish itself. Since I wasn't able to clearly understand the answer of what some of the garnishes were, I can only assume some were not meant to be eaten, the flower itself I decided wasn't even tasting. The white shredded nest of something I couldn't identify by taste or visual, it was ....interesting?A side bowl of rice was a bit of a challenge being that I long ago gave up trying to look sophisticated by having proficiency handling chopsticks. So it wasn't able to really accompany the meal too well. I'm certainly pleased that I decided to revisit Takara, the previous visit left me thinking I lost my appreciation for sushi when I wasn't drinking with my meal. I'm still certain I have a far greater appreciation for sushi when it's accompanied by vast quantities of saki, a couple beers, and maybe a good liquor to get into the mindset. My very first time eating sushi 30yrs ago was done on the condition the friend who dragged me out to eat raw fish was part of a "you buy drinks, and I'll eat your raw fish". I loved the experience. But didn't repeat it for another decade, and I was willing to do it, alcohol wasn't a condition, it was just an excuse to do both together. So I did come to love the taste and the experience."
"VIP Sushi & Hibachi is my 'treat yoself' work lunch. You can't beat VIP's lunch specials! I always get their 3 rolls for $12 special. It comes with choice of soup or salad. I always go with the soup! But the bento and hibachi are equally filling and delicious. My personal recs ---shrimp temperura roll (always fresh)-salmon & avocado roll (so fatty/buttery!)-spicy girl roll (a special roll but so so delicious! Instead of nori it is wrapped in soy paper and packs just the right amount of flavor with just enough going on)The crab rangoons are gernously filled and the seaweed salad is standard favorite. You can't go wrong with either. I'll have to stop here for dinner sometime soon!Pro Tip: they do not accept amex cards"
"We've been dining at/ordering takeout from Ginza since they opened, and it's been consistently excellent. Food is always super fresh and flavorful. The Yuzu Salmon and Shrimp Shumai appetizers are a must, and the ramen is fabulous. We also love the chicken teriyaki, which is a very generous portion. Of course, the sushi is excellent as well. I've never had a bad meal here. So glad they're in the neighborhood!"
"Great staff and servers. Hard working people. Great service. Last time I went I got moved inside by staff because someone was screaming outside. Food is great otherwise. Staff is caring."
"Food was quite tasty. Lunch specials are a good deal. Fresh ingredients and fast friendly service. Plan to go back again."
"Three things add up to a five star review..food, service and ambiance. Izumi checks he boxes for me. Walked in the door and was immediately greeted and taken to a clean and ready booth. This place is new so the dining area was comfortably laid out with plenty of spacing between customers. The booths give you a feeling of privacy and the noise is minimal.Within minutes we were approached by a friendly young waitress. We asked for hot tea, followed by miso soup and a small salad. I'd say we had it in three minutes. We then ordered crab rangoon, shrimp tempura and a godzilla roll. The rangoon came out as we took our last bite of salad. The rangoon was absolutely delicious, with a nice combination of creamy and crunch.Just as we were taking our last bites, out came our main courses. My gosh, the servings were prodigious! The presentation was very appealling to the eye. The food was not only delicious but beautiful.Just a bit of advice...if you're going to have appetizers like we did, you will struggle to finish your meal. We left packed to the gills.I have a feeling this restaurant is the rebirth of the Tokyo Sushi place that used to be on Washington street. If so, I am very glad to see them back.Bottom line, this is a very comfortable restaurant that serves delicious food with a good attitude.Definately a nice addition to downtown Manitowoc. If you're looking for sushi or Asian fusion food it would behoove you to patronize the Izumi restaurant. You're in for a treat!"
"I really wanted to love this place because it's a local place not too far from my house and price is really good. Alas it really comes down to expectations. If you are expecting to-go sushi then it's a good place, but if you are are expecting dine-in sushi then some of it is pretty mid. The good: I really liked their tuna sushi burrito. It was very flavorful and my gf and I really enjoyed it. It's everything you expect from a sushi burrito in terms of texture, fill, and flavor. Price was pretty good too imo. Average: I ordered Salmon and tuna rolls for the nippon combo. The maki rolls in Nippon combo were actually really good. I was pleasantly surprised that I liked the maki rolls over the nigiri. Not so good: the nigiri rolls. I think I didn't enjoy the nigiri rolls too much because the rice was too cold. I'm not sure if it was freshly made or was stored in fridge first but sushi rice should be served room temperature. Cold rice has a different texture. Overall I think the place is good depending on what you order. Price is really good and I def recommend the sushi burrito or maki rolls."
"Love it here! The Batman burrito is really good with ahi tuna and crab with spicy mayo! It has the perfect amount of flavor, freshness and satisfaction to make it enjoyable to eat with how compact and full of savory taste it has. In addition the beef teriyaki bowl is good. I don't love the teriyaki but the steamed veggies and rice make up for it! Both of them are a total of 19$ which is good and will fill you up!Definitely recommend and to save go during happy hour in my pic below! Enjoy!"
"Huge Portions. Cooked fresh and hot. Chicken Teriyaki was on Special for $9.99. There's enough food here for 3-4 meals for me."
"Baby it was cold outside today. But the soup dumplings warmed my insides for sure. They were perfectly presented and very tasty. Comfortable seating and good service."
"PLEASE come here for sushi. You wouldn't think it would be as good as it is, but the special rolls here are so tasty, and such a good deal. The fish isn't necessarily world class quality, but it's always tasty. The workers are so nice, and they always have my takeout ready right on time. I've been here with my mom countless times, and it's our favorite sushi restaurant. The double color roll is our favorite. The edamame and potstickers are great too, but I would avoid anything else other than sushi (the hibachi isn't great). Overall, 99 sushi is a hidden gem."
"This place is fantastic! If I lived here I'd visit weekly. I had the Cashew Chicken! The chicken is deep fried and I got spice level 2. It was so delicious! Flavors were complex and the veggies were perfectly crisp and slightly charred. The server was over the top kind and yet super chill. 10/10 recommend from my single visit."
