Was looking forward to trying this place. The yelp reviews were good and we had a personal recommendation. We probably will not be back. 1) The waiter obviously had regulars, and was very attentive to them. The same cannot be said for our group. When he asked for our order and we gave it to him when we were finished, he turned around and said "I'm sorry I didn't hear anything you said." At no point did we get asked if our food was OK, if our tea needed to be refilled, or anything else we may need. We had to ask, 2 other waiters for assistance. We asked the waiter for two things.... A small plate, and a side of mustard... The small plate had to come from another waiter and when ours did bring the side of mustard, that we asked for he put it down so hard on the plate that the entire table heard it hit the plate. 2) the food was cold. For example, on the chicken sandwich that had cheese, it wasn't even warm enough to melt the cheese. Fried shrimp on a Poboy is not good when it's cold, he burger was not even warm in the center, the cheesy grits had to be eaten in clumps because there is no heat to give them the right consistency. This is not getting one star, because the manager was very nice. We did not ask for her. The very nice waiter, who we had to flag down to try to get our checks after asking twice from our waiter, requested the manager The manager did say she was working the window and the food should've come out hot so therefore we have to assume it was the kitchen. However there is no excuse for the waiter being that is the person that makes the first impression of the restaurant. Granted it was busy (more than normal. The manager told us) but if a waiter can't be friendly and attentive when it's busy, they should not be responsible for customers at that time. That is our first experience at this restaurant. This may not be typical and, like I stated, we have had others recommend it. It just was not a good experience for us. We were disappointed based on the yelp reviews we saw.

pulling up to the restaurant it's kinda confusing, weird area but there's valet? seems silly. i parked on the street for free honestly all the food was great, must have the creme brulee. i did the eatdrinkhtx promo for an app and entree, the chower was unremarkable. i decided to come here for brunch, my two friends + their kids. staff were super accomodating to our group the service was great and the resturant stayed busy the entire time. love it for families, casual vibes and good food.

After reading other reviews - I wanted to preface by saying they did not require an app to order, they must have done away with it!We received great service and a good vibe! Loved all of the food we got: fish sandwich, shrimp & scallops with cheese grits, east coast oysters (super fresh), lobster hush puppies, and lastly for dessert: bread pudding. We do not have kids, although there was a nice kids area with a jungle gym. It was out of the way enough though that we were in no way distracted by the kids. It was very relaxing and all around a great experience! We will be back to try more things!

Cute little place with a friendly atmosphere. All the food was amazing. My salmon was cooked with perfection and had amazing flavor. Service was great. It was super busy and food took a while to come out but wait staff communicated the delay. Perfect spot for a casual date night or a dinner with family.

One of my favorite brunches this year. We found Millie's on Yelp while waiting to be served at another restaurant in the area for almost 45 min. Brunch was on our mind, and Millie's serves it 'til 3pm.Our table of four was immediately seated, and we started with a dozen East Coast oysters and calamari. The calamari was perfectly cooked and served with a zesty marinara and arugula dressed with lemon vinaigrette. Our table rounded out brunch with the caesar salad with shrimp, Creole omelette, salmon benedict, fish and chips, and pancakes (for our dessert!). Salmon benny is my go-to brunch order - I get it anytime it's available; and Millie's is my favorite in Houston - salmon was perfection, as was the hollandaise. My niece loved the fish and chips, but take note that the filets are thicccc; actually, all of the portions are large, so consider sharing. My sister's favorite was the side of grits with cajun cream sauce, which came with her creole omelette. There isn't much onsite parking, and what's available is valet. But you can find street parking. No complaints. It was an all around lovely brunch. We didn't try any desserts (other than the deeeeelish, homemade tasting pancakes), but would love to see beignets on the menu. :)

Came here for dinner and went with the restaurant week menu please a few appetizers. Absolutely worth it. Every penny. Chowder - lots of potatoes but not overtly salty which is a win and it came with the puffed crackers rather then the saltines crackers. Lobster roll with Salad - the best lobster roll I can recall. The portion size, the ratio of bread to lobster, the flavor, the texture, the everything. Absolute perfection. If anyone asked me how to describe a lobster roll. I would say to come here. I don't do repeats but this is definitely an exception. No Bueno calamari - too fried and thick batter, loved the arugula Salad it came with though. Brussels sprouts - good flavor but nothing specialHush puppies - didn't taste lobster and didn't like the sauce pairing. Not really sure what I was expecting here. Flounder - good lemon butter sauce. Great dish. Gumbo - salty and peppery. Great customer service. Decent timing of food to come out. Clean. Cute table accessories that are all different in each table. Extremely worth it restaurant week menu. Glad I made the long drive to check this place out. 5 stars for the lobster roll and the flounder dish. Everything else was average or below but with the 5 and the great customer service, I went with an overall 4.

Pictures speak a thousand words so take a look! Met up with three friends here for brunch because we wanted to try them out for restaurant week. When we got there, I noticed they had valet which was absolutely ridiculous because the parking area is so run down. So it just feels like an unnecessary money grab. Anyways, we parked a little further up the street and walked over. It was packed when we got there but we were told to sit wherever so we grabbed a table on the enclosed patio area. I wasn't taken in by the ambiance or much of anything but, I was willing to give it a try. Out of the RW menu, I got the lobster hushpuppies, and the crab cake Benedict, along with fries. I tried to get a flavored mimosa but they didn't have the one I wanted. Our food came very quick and it was disgustingggg!!!!! The hush puppies were so nasty, the crab cake Benedict was mediocre and the fries were horrific. Then, on top of that, my friend's pancake wasn't cooked all the way and her shrimp & grits had to be remade. The experience was underwhelming and I'm so sad about it because I was looking forward to a good brunch. Sigh.

Nothing less than 4.5 stars -- So rounding up to 5. The service was amazing, courteous, and helpful. Take a moment and listen to the specials, that is where I got my eggs benny w/ pork belly. Also, do yourself a favor and get the hushpuppies as your app. The only knock is the parking, it is the heights so you might have to be creative with your parking. The lot itself out front is tight, but there is parking along the side, and a business lot next door that people seemed to park in.
