Milk and Honey Decatur

When I arrived at Milk and Honey we were seated quickly; however, the service (to get an actual waiter and receive food) was extremely slow. The waiter was kind and tried to be as helpful as possible. The music was a nice vibe to help soften the atmosphere. I had the Lobster Tails (Cook's Special)It came with 2 fried lobster tails served over grits, topped with creamed corn and additional garnishments. I also added a side of macaroni and cheese candied yams... with a mimosa to wash it all down. The food was pretty decent overall but on the salty side. Others in my party complained about their meals (they ordered different items) but nothing worth discussing with management or the waiter. Pricing was what I'd expect in Atlanta and the surrounding areas. The huge plus was the parking was free and plentiful as it's in a "shopping center"/plaza. I'm not quite sure if I'd return because it wasn't anything above the norm but it was definitely a quick, close bite to eat.

The entrance is amazing, this place is clean clean, perfect location and my 1st time visiting. Shay was an amazing waitress. They food is cooked fresh so there is a wait for your food, but that's the perfect time to get in photos, conversations with the ppl at your table or catch up on phone items. The owner does greet you also. This place can be pricy to some, but it's worth every dime. BLACK OWNED ESTABLISHMENT!!!!!)]

Great time at one of the best breakfast places ITP or OTP. Went with my 2 gal pals before an Atlanta Carnival event. The server was super friendly and upbeat. She offered the fruit mimosas, biscuits and helped with creating our own combo. I ordered the Mr. Benny (crab cake Benedict) with a decaf coffee. The meal came hot and the Cajun cream sauce on the side. I love that this dish includes crab and egg (protein), spinach (veggies) and the English muffins for a carb. All that's missing is a side of fruit! My friends had the Salmon (fried) & grits with an Arnold Palmer and the other had scrambled eggs, turkey bacon and hash browns. Water is only by the bottle so keep that in mind when you ask out the server offers.The location is a diner style with the takeout counter next door. They play a nice mix of R&B that really sets the tone.When I'm in Decatur this will surely be my spot for brunch!

This is one of those spots that you may want to second guess before deciding to sit down and eat. Overall food was OK. Drinks not in the slightest of intriguing. Experience not so much. It took them way longer than 30 mins to seat us , the AC was not working and my friend had a BEE land on his plate. Upon realizing, a waitress came and took my friends plate without confirming if he was done granted the bee ruined the meal. We were given either a $4 discount or another meal. After being uncomfortable with an insect buzzing around our table, the waitress thought it was funny and tried to laugh with me on it and I did not think that as a laughing matter what so ever. Quite frankly, for the conditions of the establishment they should be doing ALOT more to ensure people have a great experience. Would not recommend going there. Try the one in midtown first. We have to do better black folk.

I went on a Saturday morning around 10am and enjoyed my food & service. The Mr.Benny crab cake Benedict was so tasty and full of flavor! My waitress also did a great job at making sure I was taken care of.

I had been wanting to try Milk & Honey FOR SO LONG! Like years! Im from MD and always wanted to go to that location and then I've attempted to try the one on Cascade, but the wait has always been outrageous. My auntie and I decided to stop here for breakfast one Saturday morning before running some errands. We arrived shortly after they opened and we were seated immediately. I was happy to discover they had a section solely for take out orders for when I decide I want something to go. Our waitress was very attentive and provided awesome service! We had the yummy biscuit with honey and seafood sensation and boy, was it sensational! I ate it all in one sitting and would've licked the plate if it was acceptable! This location is dangerously minutes from my house, so it might go without saying that I will be back!

I hesitated to share this review because I actively promote and encourage support for black-owned businesses. Today, my friend and I had a dining experience, and let me begin by expressing my satisfaction with the delicious food - it truly was enjoyable. The service, particularly thanks to Niko, was exceptional, and the ambiance was decent.However, it's important to highlight a particular aspect: there is a $2.50 charge for water. Yes, you read that correctly - $2.50 for bottled water, with no alternative option. This was disappointing, especially considering my intense thirst and coughing. Unfortunately, obtaining water meant paying for it.To add to this, when the bill arrived, an 18% gratuity was automatically included. The menu does mention at the bottom that "Any bill over $80 or a table of 4 or more will be charged 18% gratuity." It's crucial to be aware of this policy before dining, allowing you to make an informed decision. Personally, I believe that if an 18% gratuity is mandatory, a complimentary water should be a basic courtesy.

Food was delicious, there wasn't ac so that sucked but my waitress was spectacular and i really loved everything the menu had to offer

Food: The food was phenomenal. Hot and seasoned to perfection. The M&H biscuits drizzled in honey. The Cook's special was fried lobster over delicious grits with jalapeño cream corn sauce. The lobster gumbo was VERY filling and seasoned with love....lol Loaded flatbread with crab was HUGE and great.The cheesy hash browns had NOTHING on Waffle House. Service: we think her name was Nicole....sorry but she was FABULOUS and the hostess was super sweet and friendly.Ambiance: Amazing and someone had a birthday and everyone in the restaurant participated. We had a great time for our first time here.

I gave this location almost a year off because my orders kept being messed up/burnt, found, specifically inside the smooth criminal which I love, hair in it, which disgusted me. And other times when I did pick up orders, the order was completely wrong or items missing. I tried them today instead of doing a pick up. I sat at a table. No surprise, my waffles came out cold, but the server, super nice girl, promptly had them done over and it was fine after that. This place is not perfect but I will always appreciate them for being on the east side.
