Great Southern-style soul food and exceptionally nice people, too. They have at lunch a cafeteria-style approach with a choice of one meat and two sides plus corn bread or a dinner roll and drink for the more-than-fair price of $11.78. I mean, really, it's a whale of a deal. Actually, they may have even included the tip I left them, I'm not sure. It was, after Atlanta prices, just a wonderfully good deal in any event. When I visited there were about four choices of the meat/main dish: I believe fried fish, fried chicken, maybe pork chops, and the sausage and cabbage I got. For the sides, there were around eight or ten choices, quite a few in any case. I had the succotash which was nicely spicy and served over a small amount of white rice plus the collard greens which were expertly cooked. The sausage and cabbage was very good as well. As was the cornbread. Indeed, in no sense was anything at all lacking or amiss. Everything was excellent. This place is nothing fancy, make no mistake. But it doesn't need to be: it's perfect down-home food and very nice folks. It's exactly what it claims to be, what you'd hope to find if seeking Southern food in Georgia. I highly recommend it all.

Have driven by this place many times. I have been told it was a great place. Our first experience here. It was busy but we were seated quickly. Wonderful waitress Danielle, very attentive kind and cheerful. Food excellent we wanted to try the fried food menu, more than enough per serving. The atmosphere is great! Love siting on the pier beach view!

I really enjoyed Mike's! The employees are extremely friendly. I wanted some comfort food for lunch and that's exactly what I got. The fried chicken was amazing. I always add hot sauce and honey to mine and loved it. I was definitely ready for a nap after eating :)I will be back!

Like most people, I stumbled upon this place. I was dying for some breakfast so I popped in thinking they would have breakfast. But it was at the end of the 10 o'clock hour and they had started serving lunch. So I figured why not get some great veggies. Everything looked like I had just been brought out which was good so I was catching it fresh. The mashed potatoes tasted real with chunks of potatoes here and there. The green beans were ok. Soulfood/southern green beans tend to be over cooked in my opinion. My personal preference is for them not to be as limp or soft. I'd say what set the score down is this okra corn and stewed tomatoes. It tasted like straight up ketchup. No matter how many times I tried to close my eyes and put a new fork-full in my mouth, I just felt like I was eating a bottle of Heinz ketchup. It wasn't even tomatoey, it was literally Ketchup. That's unfortunate because it looked pretty fresh and I was excited to try it. Definitely need to go back to the drawing board with that dish. Perhaps one might have better luck with the meat. There seem to be a lot of variety with meat.Otherwise, the establishment was relatively clean and set up cafeteria style. The people behind the counter were friendly. It's right outside of the city so employees aren't wearing masks but they do have a sign up requiring patrons to wear masks although that isn't followed.

I had to STOP in the middle of eating my food to write a review. One word for this food "BUSSIN!" I had lasagna and my picky 13 year old daughter had a pork chop, mac and cheese and collard greens. She tore her plate up! Not only is it good but they don't price gouge like most other soul food places. I got two lunches and a side of lasagna for twenty bucks. At some of these other places that meal would have cost me nearly $50. I'm sold, customer for life!
