Stopped in for Wing Wednesday and had the 24 kt gold wings and the Philly egg roll.The food came out hot and fresh. The wings were really good.The owner was there and was very personable and made sure to welcome every patron and to thank them on their way out.There are quite a few things on the menu that I want to try, so I'll definitely be back.

"Hello Detroit, you won my heart" those who know, know what I'm singing. That is what I was singing after visiting this spot! I have heard lot of good reviews and I was finally able to get here. This place right here brings me back home. The chili dog is right on point of the Detroit coney I get when I come home. Let start with the wings - nice and crunchy like I like them, and moist. The lemon pepper seasoning was not over powering. French fries were good but I should of made those a chili fries. Now let's get to the coney dog, they chili sauce on top is very flavorful. I have been to other place that say the coney dogs taste like the ones from Detroit, this place has hit it on the nail!!! The service was great the own came out letting the customers know that there food will be ready soon. Letting us know that food is cook to order so you know you are getting it fresh. He was very nice and so was the staff. They carry the staples from home. Better made chips and Faygo. The next on the list to try is a Boston cooler (ice cream and Vernon's another Detroit staple). Check out the menu, they do offer various hot dogs and wings.

I went to this place because a guy said it was amazing! & boy was he right This was one good chili dog i had to get two. I could roost the first one because i ate it so fast! the prices are very reasonable my aunt & I got the one on one it comes with two dogs & fries, we ended up getting one more because it was that darn good! the service was amazing the guy who helped us was very polite & he knew his stuff. also he came over & asked us how our food was excellent customer service skills! the atmosphere was cool wish the air was on a little higher but i can say in Texas it has been hotter than normal. the music was good ol r&b can never go wrong with that. the con to my overall experience was how they didn't have any napkins & there wasn't any hand soap when we got there my aunt had to ask for some. other than that everything else was superior.

Great fast place for lunch with great wings. The owner is normally there during the day and makes you feel welcome and is so friendly. He always makes sure your food is good and hot before leaving.

In the photos, The lemon pepper is at the top, the buffalo lemon pepper is in the middle and the hot honey lemon pepper is at the bottom. I have no complaints. The chicken was crispy and the sauces were great. The fries were really good too but I didn't snap a picture. The young lady who works the front counter was nice and friendly. I hope to return.

Wings and Philly cheesesteak eggrolls were phenomenal!The owner is very kind and has established a customer friendly environment. Food came out fast and tasted very fresh. We will be back!

So first let me just say this place not only provided the BEST MOST AMAZING Customer Service ever the food was soooooo good had my mouth watering literally. Everything from the moment I walked in the restaurant to being greeted so professionally and with respect the gentleman who took our order was so helpful he provided us details of what items were on the menu and then samples of the hot sauce for our wings before we ordered and our food was freshly cooked and it was no wait at all like we had a front row seats at the best restaurant in Houston. The Astros were in the playoffs so I got to watch the game and eat good. It was a win win I really enjoyed every moment and bite. I went 2x within my stay over 2 weeks it was yummy. The good vibes inside as well the art and the pictures and paintings have you vibes of different cities and times of the world it was really cool. I wish I could've took some to go in my carryon! Lol even leaving the employee wished a safe travel and rest of our weekend. I can't wait to go back and get more and share with all my family and friend if you're HTX make sure you try Midwest Coney Connection 10/10!!!!!

So we were in Houston and wanted hot dogs, OMG this place rocks. We had hot dogs, meltdowns loaded fries. (They're twice fried French fries, with chili, cheese, onions, jalapenos) (which swmbo can't have) and Philly egg rolls. The service was awesome and I couldn't have felt more welcome. When I come back down to Houston this will be my to go to place to eat.

Midwest Coney has become my go to place for Coney style hot dogs. While they are also known for their wings and Philly style cheesesteak sandwiches, and a cheesesteak eggroll - it is always the Coney style hot dogs that I go for. They have three great styles to choose from (Detroit, Flint and Boss Hog). Additionally, they have a choice of the all-beef hot dogs and the classic, which is 90 beef and 10 pork. In my opinion the classic is the best and has a pleasant snap from the natural casing.Midwest is easy to miss as it is a small shop in a strip center located across the street from a large Walmart. There is plenty of parking. Inside is small, with seating for about 15 people. The decor has a Detroit theme and is always clean. Order from the counter for takeout or inside seating.

I ate at this establishment for the first time today; and I'm deeming it, "slap yo momma" good. I'm not kidding, I'd slap my momma if it meant I could eat here all the time, and I love my momma Nice little local spot.When you first walk in, you may be turned off by the smell of "sewage," but trust me when I say ignore it and get food here. The smell is brief, and it doesn't stick around, especially not when you eat. The smell comes from sewage issues they've been having, but they will be relocating when the owner finds a good spot.The lighting is great, and they have all their windows tinted, which help prevent excess heat and sun from blinding you while you eat. This is important to me because I suffer from chronic migraines.The decor gives midwestern sports and other little nods to the midwest, and it's done so tastefully where it's not overbearing.The service was top-notch. I believe the gentleman who welcomed us in was the owner. He was friendly and had excellent customer service from when we walked into the door to when we were walking out. He was constantly checking in to see how we were doing and to see if we needed anything.My partner and I both got the Boss Hogg Special Combo. It comes with 5 wings of your choice, a Philly egg roll, a hot dog, and fries. They had so many flavor options for the wings, but I got their honey hot lemon pepper. For the hot dog, you get options to choose how you wanted it. I opted for the chili cheese. That Philly egg roll was so good. It's the only thing allowed to bust like that in my mouth. It was hot, flavourful, and thick. Comes with a spicy sweet chili type sauce, which has a nice kick. The honey hot lemon pepper wings literally made me tear up they were so delicious. I even wanted to swear because it was so good; which I never do. Although it's drenched in sauce, the wings didn't lose their crispiness. They know how to fry chicken cause damn that crunch when you bite into them. You do get a sauce choice. I chose Ranch. I'm not sure if the ranch is made in-house, but let me just tell you that the ranch is creamy good. I don't typically eat hot dogs, I personally think they are gross, and they make me nauseous. However, the chili cheese coney dog I got from here; I devoured that bad boy. I should probably have eaten it first so it would've still been piping hot, but it was still tasty as hell at room temp. The fries were good and complimented the other items perfectly.From what I saw and experienced personally, it appeared that the majority of their drinks were bottled or canned. I got bottled water, and my partner got a canned soda. After we finished eating and got in the car, I literally raced to text all my friends when they visit Houston to try this establishment. I mean it, try it. I highly doubt you'll ever want another wing place after eating here.
