World Market & Cafe

I LOVE this market. I do. No where else in Hollywood (that I know of) where I can get smoked sardines, goat feta and cod liver... OH YUM.On really hot days, I enjoy exploring their beer refrigerator with all the different kinds of beers I've never heard of.I go stock up on smoked sardines in olive oil.Cod Liver.. and tomorrow, I'm going to get me some mackerel.Walmart & Amazon sell smoked sardines, but they are more expensive.Costco sells them, but they are too far away from Hollywood.And I really like to go through the tiny aisles and explore the shelves of food.I've never bought anything from the meat counter...Never sat and eaten at a table.But I can tell you I've been buying my sardines and cod liver for many years, here.

One of the best European markets!I found this place last year after a Christmas event in Hollywood. The store is small and the isles are packed with imported goods. It's hard to maneuver your cart but be patient, it's all worth it. I absolutely love their long stem roses. Their cakes are fascinating with such intricate detail. Their produce is fresh due to the amount of people shopping there. Head cheese was a wonderful find. My grandfather liked that very much. The lox is excellent quality and always available. Ground chicken is popular here for making patties. Funny thing, when so many other markets were out of pastina, I found it here.

I finally stopped in. I was taken back to my NY days of outdoor fresh fruit stands and Russian grocery stores dotting the neighborhood. There is a huge selection of different ethnic foods, prepared foods, meats, cheeses, salads, etc. The prices seemed very reasonable as well. It does get busy with lots of shopping carts coming from all directions but I will certainly return to try more unique items.

I really enjoy shopping at this grocery store. The selection is great, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. However, I have occasionally come across expired products, particularly in the deli section where the bacon and sausage are. It would be great if the store could improve their quality control to ensure that all items on the shelves are fresh.

This place is an Eastern European gem. They had decently priced produced their tropical fruits were high & a lot of it is spoiled or spoiling, so they definitely could drop the prices.I loved that they had a lot of ethnic deli foods. Most products aren't in English but I'm still tempted to try some things.Their pasta & canned sauces, veggies, jams, etc we're impressive. I was also taken aback by the selection of sweets.

Wouldn't recommend this store at all for a few reasons including rude service, parking is not customer friendly, and dirty narrow shelves!

I have passed this place over a thousand times. I always see people buying the fruit outside. I figured they have s high turnover. I went into today and the fruit to me was definitely second quality for the price. I opened my gooseberries there was one that was moldy. That never happens at WF when I buy there. Maybe this is more of an European market I walked around, but just ended up getting some fruit and vegetables and left. I don't think I would go back ever.

It doesn't look like anything when you pass by, I have been driving past this place for YEARS. I finally decided to stop in while visiting the Euro market next door and this place is the real deal for everything that you could ever want Ukrainian, Georgian and Russian. There's a huge meat and sausage selection as well as a wine section in the back. Do not miss the cakes next to the registers up front!

Have been Shoping here for years . I like all the imported jar stuff . I recently went in to buy raw honey , jams you can't get in the local market . I also love the the potato knishes. The bread selection is awesome and I love you can get lox cheap . The produce section is nice but I prefer to buy my produce elsewhere because I am super picky vegan . Every time I am here I buy some of the candy and pastries as well as the sea weed salad and carrot salad . If you haven't shopped here, it's worth a try to see different products but bring a friend who can translate.Thanks for reading my post.

Lots of great findings including veggies, fruits and produce also products from Europe as well as Russia and UkraineThe parking is limited but the flow of people is manageable. I was really surprised with the freshness of the products, the prices are really good as well. I bought $35 worth in veggies, I know on the big supermarkets I would have paid way more. I'm thankful. Loved the variety of peppers and potatoes. The young lady who assisted me told me that there was a promo on limes because I only grabbed 3. Super nice and great customer service.
