Swizzle Rum Bar & Drinkery

Swizzle Rum Bar & Drinkery is a swanky speakeasy located in Miami Beach, Florida. It has an intimate setting and is great for a date. Can't go wrong with friends either, there are many small tables but they are easy to put together for a larger group. They have an extensive rum kind of menu which honestly was a bit overwhelming. I had trouble choosing between three drinks that were a tad similar. However, having tasted two of them, I can safely say they ARE quite different and this place knows what it is doing!The staff are all really engaged and charming people, too.

I had high hopes for this place as the concept and decor were actually nice but this place fell short on the most important part, the drinks. From past experience usually the more unique and seriously a place tries to make & prepare their specialty cocktails the worse they actually taste and this place was no different. They try so hard to make cool and different drinks that the mixture of ingredients are weird, don't go together, & taste terrible. They have a section of forgotten liquors..they are forgotten for a reason, they aren't good! Drink menu was definitely made by a man and catering to a man's palate. First drink I had was terrible and so sour I couldn't drink it. Next, I try to play it safe and order an espresso martini & it was probably one of the worst ones I have had. No foam on the top and so bitter. My date didn't like his drinks either. We quickly closed our tab & left. The place had great ambience and server was nice but if drinks are expensive and taste terrible none of that matters. I wouldn't come back.

This speakeasy in Miami was great find. It's not noticeable at First. The drinks are strong and well made. So many options to choose from. The music was varied. It has a low light for a more cozy setting. Our server was always quick and ready to refresh our drinks.

Such a fun place :) love the vibe, get there early to grab a seat. Check out the drinks are good and their dirty martini is great!

Came with a group of 5 and were seated pretty quickly. I ordered the Missionary's Downfall. It was good, but after trying my friend's drink, the Nastyface Grog, my drink didn't seem as interesting. Definitely get the Nastyface Grog. I also tried my other friend's drink, the Madame Hong. If you like fruity drinks, this drink is for you. It was on the edge of too sweet for me, though. Vibe was neat, but service can be slow with only 2 bartenders. At least the night we went, there were only 2 bartenders. So be patient.

Rum Swizzle is a speakeasy hidden away in South Beach that is open late daily. They do not take reservations so we put our names down and waited about 15 minutes for a party of two. If you don't want to wait long there's a small bar just outside as well as Delirio Tiki Bar just next door (a sister bar).We ordered the newburgh sour ($16), the el diablo ($16), and the nastyface grog ($16). The newburgh sour was mostly a classic sour cocktail but not as sour. The el diablo was very tequila-forward and was easy to drink. The nastyface grog was very tart and strong.Note that they automatically add a 20% service charge to your check which seems to be a very common occurrence for restaurants and bars in the area.

Great speakeasy bar in the heart of south beach. Great drinks great burger. Service on point very friendly and knowledgeable.

Luis, you wonderful beast! Went here last night and hubby and I stayed for several hours. The service was fantastic and the drinks were even more fantastic! Every drink Luis made somehow was better than the last. He knows exactly what he's doing. I see why this place has been named one of the best speakeasy's. There was another server there with an incredible whistle and she was very welcoming. My apologies as I didn't get her name. I would recommend that anyone who visits Miami or lives in Miami checks this place out. Ambiance was perfect, wouldn't change a thing!
