"Came here on a Thursday night and did not disappoint l. I forgot to take pictures of the food, but the guac was very fresh! I ordered the flautas de pollo and they were good too.Inside the place is super cute, loved that they had a tree next to our table.Service was a 10/10, our server kept checking on us and making sure we has a great experience"

Visit Restaurant Page"We visited this place since it was just across the street from where we were staying. This restaurant has some interesting decor and gives the vibe of a truly daily catch feeling. We ordered fresh oysters, jambalaya and stone crab claws. The oysters were fresh and didn't have the smell we sometimes find in other places. The jambalaya was tasty too. We've never had stone crab before so we decided to give it a try and it was tasty, different from Dungeness crab. The claws were extremely hard to crack but thankfully they came partially cracked already so it saved us a lot of work. Overall I think this is a nice place and one that I likely will revisit when I'm in Miami again."
"Mostly unchanged in the decades of it's existence, frozen in time, still serving up simple but damn good burgers and well cooked, albeit greasy, fries. However I cannot attest to how good the other menu items are, I pretty much have only had the Keg Burger in the thirty plus years of coming here. It's always a trip back in time as soon as I open the door and step in and hopefully it will stay that way."
"Their bar food is good Had their Buffalo wings and chicken fingers with fries. It was all very good and tasty.Their service is always on point. We've been going to this bar for years now and it's never disappointed.I love the ambiance of this bar. The have music for everyone. You have three different areas to hang out in and around the bar. The decor is awesome- retro old school sort of way. Dimmed red lights"
"Stopped in for brunch on a Saturday afternoon. Wanted to give this place another try because the food was good. However, the service was TRASH our first time here previously! Anyway, when we arrived, it wasn't too crowded and we were seated immediately. The DJ was playing really good music throughout and it wasn't too loud. We had the prickly pear margarita (the BEST!! Just get it), calamari, chicken and waffles, and the truffle filet steak sandwich. Everything was prepared fresh and seasoned well. Jodeci was our waitress and she was great! She provided great service and was friendly. This time around, made up for our first experience. Great food and drinks!"
"Cool ambiance with board games, an array of comfy couch seating plus bar stools and high tops, as well as traditional tables. Inside it was so dark that my friend and I ended up being one of those old folks who pull out their camera's flashlights to read the menu. We are those people now! The drinks we ordered from Cassandra were a Spicy Siesta (tequila drink) and a Cherry Blossom (a sweet vodka drink). They were tasty, fresh, well made, and quickly served. Mine had Tajin on it but it wasn't Tajin, which is a brand not a generic name for chili salt. What was on there was the sorriest chili salt I've ever had (no flavor and almost a powder instead of tiny salt kernels). We played darts, which was fun. The bathrooms were covered with graffiti--maybe one person started it as a prank and then it just kept going on and on until the mirror to see yourself in is just another piece of graffiti over graffiti."
"This a cute Australian based bar and restaurant! It's sort of hidden behind the metro-mover, so it's in a conspicuous location. But it's an amazing spot! The bar tenders are all extremely kind and the food is DELICIOUS. So surprising for a sports bar! There are plenty of TV's all around and the service is phenomenal. I ordered a tri-color quinoa salad with blackened chicken and a X Burger. Both items were full of flavor and tasted great. I also had a Negroni and it was made with so much care and was perfect. I can't wait to be back here with some friends to watch a football game :)"
"What can I say about my favorite bar in all of Miami! I've reviewed this before and I'll review it again! Hands down the best bartending staff in town and a bar who really takes care of their clients. Heather, Aly, Chelsey, Susan, Eli, EVERYONE! These bartenders are phenomenal, spectacular, stupendous... I don't have enough words to describe these individuals, cause they are all truly amazing! It's definitely not your typical bar, it isn't something glamorous or fancy, just a great bar to catch the game, hang out with friends, play some pool while playing your favorite song over the jukebox and enjoying the libations! Listen... if you want to have a good time while having really good food and enjoying a well made drink, look no further!***Special shout-out to Heather and Aly for ALWAYS being on point and just plain being awesome!***If you happen to go to Mikes and talk to these wonderful people, let them know you saw my review and that's why you're there! You'll see for yourself why they're so flipping great!"
"We stopped by after having had a special dinner of celebration of my daughter's promotion at work. We haven't been to this location before. It's the typical Margaritaville ambiance decorated in beach style. We each had a Perfect Margarita, which was delicious. It was close to 10 pm and there weren't very many people there on a Sunday evening. It didn't matter. Our server was friendly and attentive. We relaxed and enjoyed the evening."

Talavera is even better with its recent "facelift"/remodel. It's a coral gables staple and have been serving authentic Mexican food for years. We had several items and shared them family style. Tacos were perfect. Quesadillas were cheesy and yummy (may be too greasy for my taste). Ceviche verde was fantastic, as was guacamole. I had to take one star off only bc I felt rushed by the waiter. They kept trying to remove unfinished food from the table - we were just enjoying our conversation and were not rushing to get out. Also they brought tiny-tiny bowl of chips for a party of 3 adults. I look forward to going back.

Stopped In For a cup of soup and drink after landing in Miami. I had a very delicious Sangria but the fruit in the drink looked canned. Outside rim was fresh fruit. The soup was A+, wish I had ordered a bowl but it was already 2:00 and unsure what I'm going for dinner. Would come back or recommend to others. Took awhile for waiter to bring tab though.

If you're like me and love dive bars, I've got a place for you. I was in town for a wedding and visited here a couple nights with some locals. I am so glad we went, this place is a riot!Music is amazing and there's plenty of room for dancing. The staff is also great, I can say enough about how well they handled the dense crowd. Bathrooms were clean and well attended to.No issues at all. We did not get a chance to eat here.

My family and I came to tap 42 to celebrate my cousin's college graduation. When making the reservations, it was very easy and the hosts were very accommodating. Once majority of our party arrived, we were able to be seated. When you have a large party, tap 42 midtown can offer outdoor patio seating or a back area that has 2 long tables to accommodate over 10+ people. Our waiters for the evening were very nice, accommodating, and efficient. They handled our large party very well and gave great suggestions. We ordered the guacamole and chips, chicken lettuce wraps, and calamari. Everything tasted amazing, especially the calamari. Thick long pieces of calamari fried to a nice crisp paired with a sweet chili sauce on the side was perfect. Also, their drinks are crafted very nicely. We ordered the lychee martini which had the perfect blend of sweetness and alcohol to where it wasn't overpowering. Also during brunch hours, tap 42 has a DJ that kept the vibes up and create a nice atmosphere for everyone. Needless to say, I cannot wait to come backto tap 42 and enjoy the food and the vibes.

I remember driving through the downtown area later at night about a dozen years ago and remarking how dead and lifeless it was after most businesses had closed for the day. I felt bad for people who were living there because, while they were a relatively short drive or metro mover ride away from some decent restaurants and nightlife, there was really nothing available to them in this immediate area. That's changed in more recent years with about 1/2 dozen bars and eateries downtown that are open until late and on weekends, and Lost Boy Dry Goods is one of the better ones. This bar has a smaller but adequate food menu and at times features visiting pop-ups that provide eats, It looks like a brick-walled pub inside with an exposed wooden ceiling, a long bar that has several screens for watching sports and other programming, several tables for seating customers and a few comfy couches and chairs, a faux fireplace, a pool table, dart boards and an eclectic mix of "stuff" that one may have seen in your grandparents' house - old console radio and TVs, a manual typewriter, telephones, old-style lanterns, books and the like. In all, the mood here is fun and lively, the music is good and they sometimes have a DJ, but it isn't so loud you can't carry on a conversation with those around you. The cocktail menu is solid, they offer a basic wine list and have several beers on tap or in cans. Best of all, for night owls or those in the restaurant and bar business who want a spot to visit after work, this place is open until 3 a.m. most every night, though they do somewhat unfortunately stop serving food at 11.
Visit Restaurant Page"Old Tom's Sports Bar is a fun enough bar with a cool ambiance and vibe. The staff is friendly and professional and the drinks were cold and refreshing.Nice enough place and it seemed to have a good following in the neighborhood. If you are in the area, I would definitely recommend a visit here."
"I gotta be honest, I almost walked out because it smells like crap by the bar inside and I had no choice because all the smokers congregate outside so it was either second hand smoke or horse crap and I need my lungs. Not sure if the stench comes from the open restrooms or the bar but I was hungry and just had to man up and I was curious about these wings. Listen, the buffalo wings are good and so was the burger but not good enough for me to come back. I get its an old bar and a neighborhood staple perhaps and I should've known better just by the outside appearance but sometimes these old bars do serve some good food. The burger was 1/2 pound and it was cooked as requested and vey juicy, the wings were very tasty but nothing outstanding to be honest. I'm just glad I was able to try it and I respect other people's opinions but I don't see myself ever coming back. One thing I will say, the reason why I give them a third star is because truth be told, the service was great. The bartenders are very friendly and attentive at all times and food didn't take long so there's that."
"This was the perfect sports bar to watch the superbowl at! My company and I were in Miami for a work event and one of our clients had reserved a couple of areas at this bar. The food was really good and we had enough room to be comfortable and not cramped against other people. Our waitress was super nice and helpful and overall we had a great time!"
"My fiancé and I stopped in here for a quick snack and drink on our way to the event. If you're a sports fan, I HIGHLY recommend this place! There are too many TVs to count, including 4 TVs combined to make one mega screen for the big games. We sat at the bar which has plenty of seating available and quite a few tables, too! I had my traditional Maker's Old Fashioned and my fiancé had a Whisky Sour. Both drinks were good pours and tasted great. We ordered their truffle fries so we had something to nosh on while we sipped our cocktails. Those fries are ridiculously yummy and decent sized portion to be shared with 2-3 people. While we didn't use it, I like that they have a pool table and punching machine in the back for you to play around on. The manager, Ricky, who greeted us was incredibly friendly and polite, as was our bartender. Prices are on par with the area and it's a fun, lively atmosphere. We'll be back and I highly recommend you check it out too!"
"I had been meaning to try this restaurant that's close to home, but it always looks completely packed. I suppose that's because the food is very good and it feels very homey inside. After totally filling up on the really good bread with olive oil and balsamic I tried the pasta of the day which was a ravioli. It was very rainy the night I was there so seating was at a premium, but they did find space for me and my date and we had a quick and savory dinner.."
"So I have been thinking for a long time about how the describe Sunset Tavern to do it justice. Maybe I am having a writer's block (or a mental block, for that matter) or maybe you just can't categorize Sunset Tavern into a simple mold. Sure, from the outside, it is like a sports bar with a long bar to the right, TV screens showing sports, a pool table... But somehow that is not the vibe I get from it, at least not when I go there. Sure, the games are on and I might glance to check out a score, but hardly anyone that I know goes there to watch a game. Maybe the issue is the folks I hang out with. To me, Sunset Tavern has a welcoming and a relaxing ambiance. With the large outdoor area, I can just sit there, drink beer and watch the people and traffic go by. I don't think I have ever seen it super crowded, and because of that, it is always easy to get another round. On weekends, they have bands playing, and that is when it starts to become fun. The bands that I have seen there typically play a variety of music that you know by heart and you can't help yourself singing along with the band or getting up and start dancing to it, or both.So how do you categorize Sunset Tavern? How do you describe it? There is only one word cones to my mind, and that is simply "fun"."
"There's a bouncer at the front door checking IDs.Inside, it is incredibly loud, has a dimly lit interior, with slow service from the bartender, very crowded for a weeknight, and smoking is permitted inside. We luckily found seating, but it reeked of cigarettes. The floors are uneven and sticky. Our drinks were not strong but cost more than they were worth. I put some money in the jukebox and was able to immediately change the preselected music to my choice, which was fun but gets costly."
"For Sports Grill, I really enjoyed myself. I ordered a Funky Buddha Floridian and Philly Phanatics w/ Tater Tots. The Philly was bigger and tastier than I expected it to be. I can never go wrong with a Floridian.Outdoor was perfect. On their patio people watching was perfect. People are very entertaining. My server was sweet. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about her. For an appetizer I ordered chips with salsa, pico de gallo and guac. While the dips were delicious the chips tasted a bit stale. That wouldn't stop me from revisiting the place."
"Absolutely amazing!!! The ambiance was great. The games on the big screens was perfect. Everywhere I turned there was a big screen. The service was great. She was very knowledgeable of the menu. And the food itself was YES YES and YES!! Delicious. I will definitely be returning. And the PRICE is GREAT! Menu starts at $9 and goes no higher than $24. This is definitely the SPOT to be. My shrimp tacos were delicious. My husband enjoyed his Philly cheesesteak and onion rings. And the key lime pie was perfect. Not too sweet and the portion was perfect. The point is, just come here."
"Dropped in for a late lunch and I had a good time. The game was playing so everyone was tuned into that.We ordered calamari for an appetizer, they were so flavorful and fresh. Our drinks were pretty and tasted good. The hookah we got was made very well and it's free refills on coals which was a plus. I liked the outdoor area because it wasn't too hot out and I love fresh air. Our server was very attentive and friendly during our whole visit. The parking lot is pretty small but it's additional free parking on the other side of the lot. I can imagine this spot gets crowded during happy hour or during major games. I can't wait to come back here!"
"In my opinion, this "sports bar" is one of the best kept secrets in Miami for watching sporting events and matches. I don't believe there's another bar or venue in this area with multiple HUGE screens that take up entire 2 story-high walls of the facility like the giant screens here, and to boot, few people seem to realize this bar is here as they primarily think of this facility for the movie cinemas only, so service is generally fast and attentive. If they had a larger and more varied food menu, the place would be perfect! We were considering where to go to watch a recent Miami Heat basketball game. We were also in the mood for a good quality cocktail. I happened to think of this place, because when we came here a few years ago to see a movie, we arrived early and had a drink at this bar which is just inside the entrance to the cinema facility. Our drinks back then were well-poured and the prices were a bit less than most other better Miami area bars. When we arrived here on our most recent visit, they were showing another basketball game on the screens. We were greeted right away, the bar server gave us menus and told us her name and the name of the other bartender who was working on this night. We asked if they could show the Heat game and quickly, within about a minute or two, they'd accommodated our request and the Miami game was up on the giant screen at the far end of the place. We ordered cocktails from the menu and both were good, if not a touch too sweet. We also had an order of calamari to start. The calamari was served with popcorn mixed in, in a white square ceramic dish that was designed to look like a Chinese food takeout container. It came with 2 dipping sauces, both of which were good. We then ordered a bottle of wine and we each ordered the lomo saltada for our main courses. Our meals were good and the bottle of Prisoner was priced just a bit higher than retail, so definitely not a bad price at all - especially considering that many restaurants have a sizable markup on wines. When we first arrived and they put the Heat game on for us, they kept their regular music selection pumping through the speakers, but another couple arrived and requested to hear the game audio, and this bar was happy to accommodate. My only 2 critical comments (aside from the previously noted fact that the food menu here was a bit too limited) are that the rotating chairs at the bar are quite large, are spaced apart and permanently bolted to the floor so we didn't really feel that we could sit close to each other. That arrangement also doesn't make great sense when this place is busy, as there are 3 of those large, permanently bolted chairs on each side along the front of the bar, taking up the same amount of space as 6 standard-sized bar stools would. Secondly, I suggest patrons check their bills closely before paying. The bottle of wine we ordered was listed for something like $59 on the menu, but when they presented our bill, they attempted to charge us $90 for it. We brought that to our server's attention and she corrected it right away, but that's a pretty big overcharge and oversight on the part of this restaurant/bar."
"Happy hour here is good, the bartenders make delicious drinks, I recommend the mozzarella sticks, but I wouldn't order the nachos unless you enjoy being disappointed. It's emptied during the week if you're looking for a more laid back playing. 10/10 one of my favorite places to play pool"
"The food here is average bar food. Nothing out of the ordinary. I rated this a 3 because they chose to do construction while there were a good amount of people eating. The noise was extremely loud and right next to us. We decided to wrap up our food and close out."
"Fun to watch the Olympic games! The wings were good and our server was knowledgeable and friendly! Lots of TVs and they had a ton of enthusiasm to hype the event. Would definitely come for all sporting event with 2-4 friends"
"This is one of my favorite local spots to watch a game. They have a small indoor space and a large outdoor area with screens to watch sports. They used to have TV on stands but have currently upgraded to screens and projectors! I really love the lemon pepper wings here, they're one of my favorite menu items. They also have game day specials on drinks which is always a plus! This place does get full for soccer games so make sure to come early if you want to grab a spot! Depending on how many people are there service can be a bit slow so try to order everything at once to make things seamless!"
"Very nicely decorated! It's a good place to go with your friends. We had three appetizers between the four of us, and it was a perfect amount. They all were really tasty and fresh; my fav was the mozzarella pearls, as they were perfectly crispy and went great with their Marinara sauce. Just from the appetizers, we could tell they make everything from scratch . And the entrees were just as good! I ordered the grilled hamachi, and i thought it tasted amazing! I also tried it bit off of everyone's plates, and theirs were sooo good too. Overall a great experience! The staff were super nice!"
"Yup a great dive bar... a refreshing honest bar... not a club... not a lounge... a bar with reasonably priced drinks. The ambiance... meh what are you talking about... it's appropriately dark with a cluttered collection of mismatched bar trinkets, Ms. PacMan, pool table and Santana playing overhead - a bit too loud. In short it's perfect."
"Magnificent service, the perfect atmosphere to watch sports while surrounding yourself with games and incredibly delicious food. A friend of mine recommended stopping at Sports & Social at the Dolphin Mall to watch the game last night. I was picking up my cousin from the airport. He had one of those long layovers that allow you to step outside a bit, and since he's never been to Miami I decided to show him around a few places. I took him to Wynwood, had a couple of drinks, looked around a bit and took pictures, but for some reason Wynwood didn't feel right. So, we started heading home when I remembered a friend recommending Sports and Social At Dolphin Mall. Even before we walked in we knew we were in the right place. There was a stage in front and there was a band playing live salsa. But when we walked in we were really left speechless. The TV wall is huge. It has every game imaginable playing all together, and all at once. You're sitting there watching two, three, four games, and an UFC fight. Your attention flows seamlessly from one sport, and one game to another, and that was even before we sat down to order. Our waitress for the night was Julissa, and she was exceptional. She was the perfect combination of energetic, fun, and knowledgeable. And her recommendations were on point. The nachos I ordered didn't disappoint. They were amazing. And so were the shrimps my cousin ordered. The drinks were also magnificent. After a couple mojitos I decided to truly test Julissa and ordered a Negroni. She said she immediately recognized me as a Negroni guy - a sign of someone who truly knows her stuff. All in all, we had a magnificent time at Sports and Social. The atmosphere was great, the food amazing, Ohio State won, Notre Dame lost, ourwaitress was fun, beautiful, and incredible, and the TV wall is humongous. What else can you ask for. I truly can't wait to go back again."
"This place could be the hottest local spot...It needs a deep clean and the kitchen needs to reopen! We have NOTHING in the area like this as -Well...It's just not what it used to be!Maybe have someone take it over so it can be the neighborhood go to once againIt's open, it's closed-One never knows anymore"
"Great ambiance, food, service and live music! Food is fresh and delicious, service was good, and great place to listen to live music. Always have a great time here!"
