I went there for my birthday. Service was good. Atmosphere was peaceful. I ordered the crabmeat pasta. It was too salty for me. My husband ordered burger + fries. We also had Oxtail 2 devil eggs as appetizers.

What a beautiful spot! Before I dive into the food, drink, and service, let me gush about how much I loved the aesthetic of this restaurant. Incredible high ceilings, muted oranges and green tones, beautiful marigolds, and clean, open spaces. I loved it and I wish I had better pictures of it! Now onto the service. All of the bartenders were nice, however one of the gentlemen serving us forgot to ring in items we had ordered twice, and then as happy hour was coming to an end he never stopped back by our seats to ask if we wanted anything else. When he finally came back (2 minutes after happy hour had ended) he said we couldn't order anything else from that menu even though we had attempted to get his attention multiple times. With all of that being said, he may have just been having an off day and the food, drink, and atmosphere more than made up for it! All of the happy hour cocktails we tried were refreshing, unique, delicious, and beautifully presented. The smoked fish dip was wonderful, and the oxtail beignets were filling and so flavorful. But the happy hour $1 oysters were some of the best not only dollar oysters but oysters I've had in a long time. They were unbelievably clean, a great size, and excellent flavor. I have talked about my experience here to so many friends, and I cannot wait to come back again soon!

Looking forward to date night on a Saturday night at this beautiful place started out a bit rocky. As anyone knows, parking at Wynwood on the weekends is an extreme challenge, so opted to valet instead. However, the valet attendant advised there were only spots for the guests at the hotel and none for the restaurants. So, a 1/4 mile walk to the nearest parking garage. At 7:15pm we sat at the best table in the house, a cute booth close enough to fully watch the action in the kitchen. The place is very nicely decorated, giving you that trendy but classy vibe of Wynwood. Felt a little puzzled as we waited, waited and waited for someone to acknowledge us while watching multiple staff members chit-chat by the pass. Oh no, I thought - don't tell me this is one of these places. I decided to flag someone, dressed differently from the wait staff to inquire where our server was since it had been 15 minutes and not even a glass of water. After a few minutes, an apology was provided along with their house made brioche and our server arrived. We made good use of the menu time so we knew exactly what we wanted. Our server arrived to take our order. When asked about specials, off the menu? No, no specials. When asked about their spirits selections (wasn't feeling any of their mixed cocktails), No spirit menu (even though on their cocktail list there's a section that says spirits). Oh no, i again thought - we're going go to be on zero personality for dinner. We went down the list of apps and mains, and i walked over to the bar to request the drinks myself. So far, not impressed. Food arrived, and since I've already made this a longer than usual review I'll get straight to the point:Brioche: Very fluffy and their housemade honey butter is unbelievable. Jerk Oxtail Beignet: The presentation is beautiful. Difficult to eat, but the oxtail was delicious. Smoked Fish Dip: The smallest portion of dip I've ever seen. Only served with celery. Maybe add some pita? Grilled Swordfish: $36 for a swordfish steak and caramelized onions. Fish was good, but felt empty without anything to pair. If only the server could of suggested a side to go along with it?Tagliatelle: Star of the night. If you like seafood and pasta this is your go-to. The server warmed up a little midway and until the end but still just didn't have the personality to go with this beautiful place. I want to say the food was great but the service was terrible, but I can't. The food was just OK, sure it was tasty and presentation is great but nothing blew my mind. Felt commercialized. For those of you who rated this experience 3 stars and below, I'm right there with ya. Will I return? Most likely not. Two stars - could have been better.

Sadly, this restaurant did not live up to the hype. I should've known better. Hotel restaurants are rarely good. I had one of the signature cocktails (un ano mas), which was a bit too sour and tart for my taste.I tried my friend's beignet and that was actually good. I tried another friend's agnolotti (too heavy and rich for me) and heirloom tomatoes (good, but not worth $20 for four slices of tomato!!). I made the mistake of ordering the regular burger for my entree and asked for it well done. It was tougher than a cardboard box. I couldn't even cut it with a steak knife. It wasn't tough because it was well done, it was tough because it was a frozen (not fresh) patty. I know because I've cooked plenty of tough frozen burgers at home. Shame on the restaurant for using frozen patties instead of fresh ones. Why even put this on the menu if you can't make a decent or even edible burger? The fries had a burnt taste and weird aftertaste. I could barely choke down my food. $34 for the worst burger I've ever had. Service was friendly and attentive. Noise level with the live band playing on Friday night was beyond intolerable. It gave me a headache and I had to leave. Street parking is possible, but the area is very shady after dark so you may want to opt for valet if you're by yourself.

Thanks to Miami Spice, my husband and I were able to not only try a new restaurant, but it's now one of our go tos for appetizers, drinks, and desserts. On Miami Spice and regular menu, we loved their beignets, pan seared corvina, and coconut cake. Honestly, I've been searching for a Kyu Restaurant coconut cake replacement since they've closed, and MaryGold's is an excellent substitute. It's not as sweet, very balanced. With its strong coconut flavor and moist and crunchy texture, I can come here just for that. On another note, Josh, our server, made our experience memorable. He was attentive, helpful, and very enthusiastic about the restaurant's offerings. The ambiance is lovely and chic as well. There is valet and street parking available. On the regular menu, the brioche is a must. Sooo buttery. Tasty as Parker House rolls from Eating House. The only con is that this place can be expensive, so I recommend coming with deep pockets, $100+ per person, especially if you're having drinks. Otherwise, it is a delicious addition to Wynwood.

Wow! Wow! Wow! If I could give this place ten stars, I would! It's been a long time since I've found a place in Miami that has my palate jumping for more combined with a beautiful ambiance, live music and excellent customer service. Every single dish Olessia recommended was excellent! I am never a fan of driving to Wynwood but this was worth. First dish was a foam egg with caviar. We then did the brioche with oxtail, the pasta with big chunks of crab, fries, deviled eggs, waffle, escargot, a yummy and warm bread with some honey (check out the pictures of our items) and the drinks were a hit! Dessert was the carrot cake and it was simply divine. This spot is a must for date, hanging with the crew or even by yourself. The prices and portions were on point. Be sure to check them out and enjoy!

My friend and I tried MaryGold's for the first time last night. The inside is filled with pinks, palms, and golds, and definitely fits the Florida brasserie designation! What finally got us to MaryGold's was their August Miami Spice menu. But before that, let's talk about the cocktails! We ordered the fluffy green juice and caper berry martini service. Both were delicious, but the martini is a must if you're a dirty martini lover. It was sooo smooth! For our starters, we ordered the sweet corn agnolotti and oxtail ragout beignets. Both were good, but it's the sweet and savory beignets I'll be ordering again. For our entrees, we got the short rib vaca frita and ricotta pillows. The short rib was the star of the show. It had a beautiful crust on the outside, but fell apart easily with a fork to reveal the tender inside. For dessert, we had the flan de queso and chocolate turtle fondant. My favorite part was the candied popcorn ice cream!Miami Spice was a great time to try this hip spot in Wynwood. I'll be back for the cocktails, short rib, and ambiance!

*MIAMI SPICE REVIEW*A friend and I wanted to treat our buddy to a birthday dinner, and after browsing a few Miami Spice options, we decided to go for Marygold's. 100% Did not disappoint! The place had a very relaxing feel to it. Warm tones make you feel at home. Elegant and peaceful, perfect for Sunday dinner. We ordered all the items on the menu except for one, which was a Summer Squash salad. Everything we had was delicious, no 'buts' from anyone. They also offer a cocktail pairing option for an additional cost, which we didn't do, but I liked the offering for a group of 3 - adds appeal since most places don't do this. Here's the breakdown:ANGOLOTTI (nice citrusy touch to it)sweet corn mousse, double brown butter, asparagus, sumac-aleppo chili oilBEIGNETS (rich flavor combo)jerk oxtail ragout, coconut-gouda mousse, green onion (2pcs)SHORT RIB "VACA FRITA" (crispy yet soft)tamarind molasses, maduro hollandaise, young cornLOCAL MAHI MAHI (nice and flaky, balanced)golden tomato, passion fruit, aji amarillo, early fennelRICOTTA PILLOWS (the SAUWCE!)preserved fire roasted tomato jam, salsa macha, crispy garlic oil, parsleyFLAN DE QUESO (tasty simplicity)manchego, vanilla bean, caramel, sherbetCHOCOLATE TURTLE FONDANT (decadently satisfying)candied popcorn ice cream, salt roasted peanutsSORBET TRIO (tropical and refreshing)pomegranate-cranberry, mango-orange, and citrus herbOne of the better Miami Spice experiences I've had in a while - Everyone was happy, including the birthday boy who's quite the critic LOL. MAJOR S/0 to our server, Josh, who was a big reason for the amazing experience. Do ask for him when you come here, he's dope. Menu will be revamped starting in September for the second half of the Miami Spice season. Looking forward to Happy Hour next time!

Marygold's has been on our go to list for a bit so we finally decided to go ahead and give it a try. We came in Saturday night and we were asked if we preferred inside or outdoor seating, we said inside but they proceeded to go ahead and seat us outside anyway even though there was a bunch of open tables inside (we were told we couldn't be seated at these tables for some reason) lol. As we overlooked that, we immediately got greeted and had our order taken. We had the Brioche, Caviar Waffle, Beignets, Classic Oysters, Heirloom Tomatoes, Agnolotti, Grilled Swordfish, Filet Mignon with Yukon Mash, and wrapped up the meal with a warm chocolate Fondant. Everything was perfect and plated beautifully. My only complaint was that the steak was over cooked a bit for my liking but I'll live. Everything else was great, even noted Brad Kilgore himself overlooking the service. Thanks Marygold's!
