If I could give this place 10 stars I would! We came here on a Friday night and loved it so much, we came back the next day! Service is amazing, so attentive, and so kind. You could just tell the people really loved working here.We ordered the Pan con Tomate, Fry Padrón Peppers, Spanish Octopus, Grilled Spanish Chorizo, Patatas Bravas, and for dessert the brioche w/ coconut ice cream and guava + the other dessert was another bread with orange, strawberry, and rosemary cream. Also got the red sangria -- delicious! This restaurant is perfect for date night. Such a memorable experience.Tip: make a reservation!

Our experience at Mareva 1939 was nothing short of exceptional. The ambiance is sophisticated yet inviting, and the service from Clara and Ana was attentive, warm, and thoughtful throughout the night. We began with two cocktails: the Hibiscus Beauty, a refreshing and light drink with a perfect balance of floral and citrus notes, and the Not Too Fashioned, a richer, more complex cocktail with a unique twist on the classic old-fashioned--smooth and bold with just the right amount of sweetness. For tapas, the Patatas Bravas were crispy and addictive, with a delightful mix of creamy and spicy elements. The Grilled Artichoke Hearts were rich and indulgent, with a wonderful combination of earthy and savory flavors. The Grilled Spanish Chorizo added a smoky, hearty touch to our selection, enhanced by the accompanying sauce and onions. Our entrées were equally impressive. The Braised Short Ribs were incredibly tender and flavorful, with a deep, savory richness that melted in the mouth. The Rib Eye was perfectly cooked, with a nice balance of textures and flavors that made each bite satisfying. The Seared Scallops were delicate, fresh, and beautifully paired with bright, briny accents. To finish, the desserts were a true highlight. The Tarta de Santiago was light, sweet, and refreshing, while the Caramelized Torrija Brioche was an indulgent, comforting treat with a tropical twist, providing the perfect end to an unforgettable meal.Mareva 1939 offers a well-rounded dining experience with excellent service, flavorful food, and a relaxing yet elegant setting. It's a must-visit for those seeking quality Spanish-inspired cuisine in Miami Beach.

We ate at Boqueria in Boston, and the Paella was incredible, so we wanted to try another Spanish tapas place while in Miami. Both Paellas we ordered here were good, but I had higher expectations. I just figured I'd get better Paella in Miami than in Boston. This restaurant is in the National hotel, which looked like a really nice place to stay, with a pool that was 75-80 meters long with great plams shading, and another pool area behind it. I dont think I would return to Mareva. There are lots of other places to eat that are close to this hotel.

Very disappointed. I came expecting high-end Spanish cuisine, but got bland. I had the Chef's Selection Cheese Board, the jamon iberico, and the artichoke hearts. The accompanying bread was toasted dry and not that great quality. The jamon iberico was not very tasty. The artichoke hearts were ok. Nothing impressive except the decor. A beautiful setting, but it could not make up for the disappointing food.

This was my first visit here and it was pretty good. I loved the ambiance and our server was great also. I enjoyed the beet carpaccio as well as my branzino. I'd definitely return.

Beautiful outdoor patio. As a Spaniard the food was excellent. We did the tasting menu. It was well worth the price. The chef is from Barcelona so expect a northern Spain cuisine.

WOW No wonder it is ranked as NYTimes best places to eat and also won Diner's Choice. Spanish style tapas with a beautiful dining room and outdoor space. You feel as though you are not sitting in Miami. Our server was incredible. She was so sweet and attentive as well as helpful on recommendations. They have a fabulous cocktail menu, wine menu but do offer a full service bar. We were doing an early dinner as we had scheduled appetizers later and went with the Arroces; lobster and seafood rice. (Min 2 people) it was plenty filling and delicious. Highly recommend trying this place and although there is not a bad seat in the house. Always sit outside when you can. Cheers!

Very cute spot with dreamy lighting, perfect for a date. We ordered the Grilled Octopus and were disappointed because I expected a grilled and crispy version and instead it was swimming in a béchamel-like sauce. The Black Paella was good as was the red sangria! Service was helpful and friendly.

Somewhat hidden gem in the National Hotel. Amazing tapas and paellas in a lush and quiet setting. Attentive service and nice cocktail menu.
