You can get Cuban sandwiches everywhere in Miami, however at "this" Latin American Cafe" it is an art. The Chef preparing the sandwiches with his knives captivated me. From how he slices the port and crusts the bread with his knives is worth noting. Ok, maybe it's dramatic for a sandwich but the end result is worth it. I and Hispanic and have had Cuban Sandwiches up and down the east coast. In 30 years, NO one has made a better Cuban sandwich. If I am within 50 miles of Miami or if I have a layover in Miami or FT Lauderdale Airport, I make this a must go to. You absolutely will not be disappointed!!!

The Cordero on Saturday special is absolutely sumptuous. The portion is huge. The service is second to none. Pan con bistec, yuca frita and their fries are a work of art! Hard to see from the front that it's a restaurant. Around back they have many outdoor tables. Inside is cool, clean and cheerful. Don't miss it, in my opinion it's the best Cuban Restaurant in Miami!

I wanted to come here because I heard is a family business that has been through generations in Miami. I am a big fan of supporting local businesses. It is a casual restaurant with a bakery attached. In the restaurant side, it can be a bit confusing for a first time customer that doesn't speak Spanish. I speak the language so I was able to navigate the seating situation. The lady taking care of me was nice but I didn't get the typical home latin feeling. I was surprised with the food prices. The specials of the day start at $15. It is not what I expected it from a casual Latin restaurant but nowadays everything is different. Sandwiches were also a bit pricey. Food was good. The ropa vieja was tasty and the yuca was also good. Overall, it was an unexpected pricey lunch but the restaurant was clean and food came out hot.

Good Cuban restaurant in West Miami. I've been coming here for years, the staff is always friendly and they keep it clean. They have all the traditional Cuban meals, all of them tasty. Next door is the bakery where you can get all your sweet tooth cravings. I will admit they have gone up in prices over the years, but with inflation and rising costs I understand. They're not as well known as the other Cuban restaurants on Calle Ocho, but you should definitely give them a try.

This is our go to Latin restaurant when we want a good homemade meal. We often come here and you can't go wrong with whatever you order. It is always fresh and so deliciously made , just as special as your mom cooked it. I usually order the mahi-mahi and it is very good! My hubby has the salmon and it beats any expensive fish restaurant out there!! They always serve you plenty of toasty buttered bread as soon as you sit down and not to mention their service is impecable! These ladies are very attentive and you never have to ask to refill your water! Always so sweet too! Their meatballs on Wednesdays are not to be missed! It's their special dish for Wednesdays among other plates. It is one of my favorites also, but you better come early because they usually run out by 5pm. All in all we truly enjoy coming here! Ambiance is great too many locals come often as we do too! Overall you can't go wrong coming here, you will love many of their dishes!

Tried this place again and please do not order Boliche. It was the worst sauce on this meat really not even a sauce but it was like serving the bland meat with loads of uncooked spicy sofrito on top. It was really uneatable. The cook in this restaurant really needs to step up and seriously look at the recipes. Also the rice is never fully cooked and always hard and the fried plantains as before thick and hard. This place is not Cuban food.

We have been visiting this location for years since 2014 We have seen the employees who know us well those who have been with location for many of years. Our last visit was last night after 8pm March 27th, 2023 Our server was - Odalis a wonderful waitress who knows us as frequent customers. Unfortunately the food has dropped in quality the Tamal En Cazuela was always lean on our last two visits, we have found FAT! I have felt totally disgusted during this meal. The kitchen does not understand either lite onions a fist full is not light onions. Classic tortilla ham and onion Note to management: the kitchen has difficulty understanding lite onion. THE TIP MATTER CONTINUES TO A MATTER THAT HAS NOT BEEN CORRECTED ADDID THE TOTAL WITH TAX TO THE TIP. THE TIP IS NOT TAXABLE!

We saw Luis Galindos featured on Netflix and decided we needed to experience the OG Cubano Sandwich. Found out later we went to the wrong location, but oh well, it shouldn't matter right? Guess I'll never know. If it wasn't for the amazing kindness of our waitress I probably would have made this a three star review. She didn't speak a lot of English and we tried with our terrible Spanish and met somewhere in the middle. She was really friendly, welcoming, and extremely patient with us. I enjoyed my small cortadito but not as much as I enjoyed those yucca fries! Super crispy and had great flavor, not at all bland like most other yucca fries. Ok let's talk about the Cubano. Unfortunately it was incredibly average. Bread was dry and kind of crumbly. The roast pork was dry as well. The sandwich meat inside was barely warm, tepid at best. The sandwich was missing some serious salt and crunch with the very very minimal amount of pickles and mustard inside. The only good thing about this sandwich was the thick globs of slightly melted Swiss cheese inside. But that's all there really is to report here.I would recommend this sandwich if you want a baseline experience to compare other Cubano sandwiches with.

My husband placed an order for pick up, he got home with our dinners and discovered that they neglected to give him the rice that comes with the meal. My meal was bland ( Palomilla Steak, rice and beans) and the bread is crunchy and has little to no butter after he asked for soft bread with lots of butter. Also discovered was that they charged $4 for the to-go containers (1 of which he didn't even get). This place has gone downhill, only 3 people dining in.
