"This heart led Ecuadorian restaurant is among my top two Miami favorites right now. It's hidden in plain sight, right in Downtown miami. This is only my second time here (tried to get back a few times, but they are sadly closed on Sundays and seem to close around 9pm other nights - a little early for Miami standards). However, I'd say it's definitely worth getting in early and trying the food. You can make reservations and also seems still undiscovered for a spontaneous walk in!From the host to the waitstaff, everyone is very friendly and supportive of each other. Matt took great care of us again tonight and even remembered us from our last visit! The manager checked in later in the meal too. All staff very helpful, professional and welcoming. The food here is amazing. My friends started with the yucca cheese rolls and palo santo butter + corn bread and immediately devoured it. I shared the goat corn empanadas with a friend and wow were they amazing. The corn shell is something special. It's not greasy. It's crispy yet melts in your mouth until the savory salty filling hits you. Fantastic pick. My friends enjoyed the Amazonian fish as well as a vegetable take on their tortellini. Both were beautifully plated and enjoyed. I ordered the goat pasta, which is phenomenal. It seems they changed the pork dish from the first time we visited (prior it was shredded with a very flavorful seasoning on top of pancakes). This dish was good, but honestly not as good as the first pork dish that was on the menu previously. A few felt it was a little dryer than expected and only poked at the corn mix that accompanied the dish, but to be honest this is pulling out of critique from an amazing dish to a not bad one. Any first timer might like it right off the bat. We had ended with the yucca cinnamon donuts + Ecuadorian chocolate. This was a new addition too, I saw it on instagram and it pulled me back. I wasn't disappointed nor my friends. I'm not even a donut lover and I thought this was very well balanced and enjoyable. Ambiance is elevated but not over the top fancy. I think you could get away with a wide range of styles here, but maybe a nice excuse to dress up! I believe the value for the quality and experience is totally worth it. I look forward to returning and seeing what this talented chef and crew has in store for next time! Keep of the great work team! You're doing something very special."
"I came here today with my two friends to sample the Miami spice 2024 lunch menu. It did not disappoint. I ordered the following - Fried Calamari. This was so, so fresh. The calamari were soft and not chewy at all. The batter was so light and crispy. A great appetizer. My friends had the tuna tacos. I sampled a bit, and they were also very good. The tuna was extremely fresh. For my main I ordered the Linguini with Shrimp. This came with a finger licking garlic, butter, white wine, and parsley sauce. A solid dish.My friends ordered the Branzino and salmon. They stated they were very pleased with their choices. For dessert we all had their flan. This was also pleasant, although I wish there was more caramel sauce served with it. We also had a cappuccino each to round off our lunch. Not only did they look pretty, but they were wonderful too.The decor is pleasant. Look at my photographs to see their unusual bottle themed chandelier. The service was also top notch. A five stars from me."

Visit Restaurant Page"Francisca's was my recovery dinner on a rainy Memorial Day Monday after my trip. I was dropping off my laundry and stopped just to good a good solid meal after my "soaked" weekend. The tostones had a nice crisp to them, and the yuca was nicely steamed and flavored with garlic mojo. I liked that my chicken breast had a nice smokey flavor, plenty of meat and juicy. With the almond dusting and rich nutella my pudding was the perfect closing. All in all, the food was a solid 4 if not higher. The reason why it just makes 3 stars is similar to that of a few other reviews: service seemed slow, judgy and unattentive. The minute that I said I was only drinking water only I could sense the service being less than enthusiastic. I was offered bottled water - no problem in the wallet for me - but was surprised to later be able to get tap water at the end. I had to wait more than a little between plates. When I asked another waitress for utensils I got a "I'm not your waitress" instead of more politely offering to get her. Also, they could use better A/C..I like the smokiness in my tastebuds and not my clothes."
"This is such a great spot for breakfast or lunch. They have great specials and make the most perfect coffee. The service is really good. I stop in every chance I get. The ambiance is great too. If you have a chance I recommend trying them out."
"El Chalán has been my go-to Peruvian restaurant in Miami for the past 15 years, and it's easy to see why it's my favorite. There's a comforting sense of familiarity each time I visit, thanks to the consistent staff who've become like family over the years. The quality of the food has remained top-notch throughout, with each dish bursting with authentic Peruvian flavors that keep me coming back for more. Whether it's the ceviche, lomo saltado, or any of their other specialties, I've never been disappointed. The atmosphere is always welcoming, with an ambiance that perfectly captures the spirit of Peru. It's not just a meal; it's an experience--one that I've cherished for over a decade and will continue to for many years to come"
"A chill location to experience great Cuban food in South Beach. Easy to walk to and there is Bar top seating or you could easily take it to go. Everyone is extremely friendly and make great suggestions! Most agree that you can't go wrong with any option. I loved my chicken fajitas and the butter avocado and fresh tortilla gave it the extra mile. The fajita sauce was just too good. The yellow rice was a great side, very fresh rice too. My friends had the Cuban and chicken sandwiches. Both loved them and I definitely enjoyed the Cuban sandwich as well. Honestly you can't go wrong with any choice."
"Really delicious lunch! Doesn't look like much from the outside, right next to a convenience store, but wow it delivered! Super fast service, big portions and ice cold beer :)We stopped here for lunch before we went to SuperBlue (just a few blocks away) and was a perfect start to a couple hours in the museum. Really great spot, highly recommend."
"This looked like it used to be a diner from the looks of it. They had a counter and a bunch of booths with colorful murals surrounding the inside. The menu sported Latin food with Mexican flair and creativity. The service was appreciated, and the food arrived in a timely manner. For starters, the Korean tostones ($15.99), timba ($9.99) and media noche egg rolls ($15.99) were ordered. There were three tostones topped with avocado, Korean BBQ pulled pork, crema Mexicana, pickled onions, and sesame seeds. This was outstanding. The tostones were crispy, but not overly done and the pork was tender. It was a well put together dish. The timba were cubes of fried queso Blanco and served with guava marmalade. I was most interested in trying this and it did not disappoint. There were 10 cubes, and each was fried to perfection. The guava marmalade paired nicely with the fried queso Blanco. Regarding the media noche egg rolls, there were three present with 8-hour roasted pork, sweet ham, pickles, a three-cheese blend, and homemade mustard aioli. Once they were picked up, it was well known how packed and loaded these egg rolls were. There was a great balance of all the toppings. Once again, the pork was succulent and tender while the mustard aioli enhanced the overall dish. For an entrée, the chimi burrito with chicken ($17.99) was ordered. It was a jumbo flour tortilla with yellow "Chuchi" rice, three-cheese blend, plantains and flash-fried with a cilantro-lime and crema Mexicana. There was also a side of fresh Pico de Gallo. Again, this was absolutely filled with all the fixtures. It somehow stayed all together even when eaten. I think the fried aspect had something to do with it. Regarding the taste, very solid. The chicken was seasoned and flavored very nicely, while the plantains provided a sweet factor to the burrito, but not too over powerful. Overall, it was filing and a good purchase. Will I go back? Easily."
"We checked this place out for dinner. It was fairly a quiet night. If you can, choose to dine outside. It feels like you're in a tropical island, romantic and beautiful compared to the indoor dining space, which is fancy and modernized. They first serve you bread and some olive oil on the side. We ordered several dishes: Pea empanadas, Charred Octopus , Glazed short short rib tacos, Black Truffle and Fontina Cheese pizza and Arroz con Pollo. My boyfriend's favorite dish was the pea empanadas while mine were the arroz con pollo. The truffle pizza and glazed short rib tacos were okay, but worth skipping them. The charred octopus was good too, but I have had better. We also ordered cocktails and we found the watermelon one tasting the best. The servers were attentative and professional. Personally I wouldn't come back."
"Located across Collins Avenue from the Bandshell (and near where the Full Moon Party) is held, I had the chance to stop at Locura Marina this last week when my friend Vancy recommended it. Don't let the name fool you, as it is not only seafood! We were able to get in right before the dinner rush, and from what I heard there's always a full house of locals. It is definitely a hidden gem.I started with a glass of white wine, a cool & crisp way to unwind from Music Week and get in the mood for the Moon. My appetizer was their Causa Limena. This potato dish, with the black pepper in the egg and Mayo dressing, is far from boring. You can definitely notice the kick!As far as a meat dish, I really liked their Pollo Saltado, basically a chicken stir fry with teriyaki sauce, grilled veggies & and helping of crispy fries. All of this was on their dinner menu for $20. Yes, this isn't an April Fool joke! The portion size was enough to have leftover for lunch. I would definitely stop by again!"
"Los Paisanos is an interesting culinary haven seated at Little Havana's outskirt. I came in expecting traditional Cuban cuisine but was gladly surprised to encounter a Honduran gourmet selection. Everything here - from the cozy closet-sized dining space to the graceful service has well exceeded my expectations. I ended up having the Bistec con encebollados which was out of this world. Three sides accompany the entree, of which I would most highly recommend the Yuca Frita (Fried Yuca). Looking forward to visiting this place more often!"

Miami needed this As soon as this place opened I knew I had to check it out. Especially since it was part of The Bloom's beautiful food hall. Let's take a second to appreciate how beautiful this food hall really is. The place is class. The place is first date worthy. The place is definitely a collective of master chefs showing off their craft. There aren't too many Ecuadorian restaurants in Miami. At most, a handful and they lack the ability to elevate their dishes to make it attractive for non-Ecuadorians. Cotoa changed that. They added class and esthetic to the many delicious Ecuadorian dishes. They upscaled goat meat to the point where you know this dish deserves a prize. The pan de yuca, was definitely not just out of a bag. It was fresh, it was cheesy and laced with a bit of sweet. The ceviche was fresh and introduced Ecuador's very good version of ceviche to Miami. I'm excited to see whatever else they bring to the table as their menu continues to change and evolve.

OMG! What a treat in the Gables. I loved this place. From the moment I stepped in for dinner, everything was on point. The restaurant is super cozy and warm, the aesthetics are classic but not overwhelmingly intimidated. I came here solo for dinner and felt super comfortable. The staff was so attentive and friendly. I ordered a couple of appetizers and the branzino. It was so delicious and full of flavor. I saw a lot of other guests order the whole fried fish, it looked soo good, I'm thinking of getting that the next time. This whole experience was amazing and I can't wait to go back.

My favorite go to!! This place is the definition of that whole in the wall experience! This is the spot you go when you want amazing food for a great price & it's just not found easily... in other words, this place is a gem! Every dish is made with love & if it isn't they never hesitate to make it right for you! It tends to be busy often so please be patient because you'll leave happy! My all time favorite is the bacalaito!! The mofongo, tamale & alcapurria is always a hit! Any of their meats & seafood will be enjoyable because they bring that Caribbean flavor every time!! I've been coming here since 2018 and I can't believe I've just now written a review! Although this is the place you want to gate-keep!

Probably the best place for Peruvian food hands down! You know i like the HUGE portions so make sure you dont get full on the bread! LOL (warning dont eat all the bread). Like always pretty much tried everything on the menu but went with my usual fish dish, of course the ceviche, seafood mixto platter, and the mussels. Super casual spot, simple and definitely try out the desserts! SLAMMMMMIN and also the fresh lemonada, but tell them less sugar... Been here like 10x's definite good spot!

This is your typical mama y papa estilo Cubano sandwich shop. None of the South Beach I'm in Miami fufu vibes but on some real authentic Cubano vibe with the ladies cracking jokes and chisme behind the counter as you drink your cafecito con leche. We had the Philly Cheesesteak and the Sandwich Cubano. Both hearty and filling, reasonably priced without breaking the bank, and more satisfying than some of the other high priced restaurants nearby. You can tell its a local spot as the ladies behind the counter knew the customers by name and by order. I even got to know the man they call "El Profesor." Listen, whoever this man was, it was a moment and the ladies there love giving him a hard time in the most we appreciate and love you manner. To be a regular here would be nice. It's not fancy by any means, and is quite small with counter space in two areas. Def a place that is busy in the morning but so glad we tried it.Menu is large, I don't think you can go wrong with anything and there is def something there for everybody. We ordered a side of plantains and even that was enough to share with 4 people. They weren't sweet but that has nothing to do with establishment. May not have been the season yet for them. A place I'd come back to after a night of dancing to get a morning fix and cafe con chisme.

Tried this place for the first time a few weeks ago and already visited three or four times since. The restaurant's location is a bit awkward as it's the only brick and mortar business in a residential area but they also offer delivery.I strongly suggest this spot, especially for lunch as they have really good lunch specials for $7.99. Usually most establishments only have 3 or 4 options on their lunch specials, well Rinconcito Latino has 26 options! I tried the arroz con pollo, the chicken noddle soup, the churrasco, pollo a la plancha, and Lechon asado. All absolutely delicious with the exception of the churrasco. Don't like any of these options? No worries they have a huge menu. The amount of food is incredible for the price and good taste.

Writing this review reminded me that it's time to come by this place again soon ;) but the next time I go, I'm sharing because the portions here are generous. I like the ambience and the location of this restaurant. Right off the turnpike, a lot of stores to go shopping, book store across the street, and a movie theater right by it. Food was yummy. My oldest got tacos, my youngest chicken tenders, my husband a burrito and I went with a quesadilla. We all enjoyed our meals. My daughter was picky about the tenders because they had too much breading, but other than that, everything was good to me. Service was also good when we visited.
Visit Restaurant Page"I'd seen this spot near the Airport and office and had been wanting to check it out. I guess we should have heeded the 3 star average and some of the comments about overcharging and slow service. Up charge: $10 for mandatory valet, plus bottled water only, no tap (although a lot of the commercially bottled water is here from our water plant in sweet home Hialeah.) They also have a mandatory gratuity, and of course the waitress is there pushing for extra gratuity. With the gaps in service and up charging this didn't deliver value of close to $200. My mojito was also a little on the watered down side; I mean I felt no buzz at all.My friend Michelle ordered the lomo salteado. We ordered at the same time, yet her order took a long time almost to the point I finished my meal before her plate arrived. The food took such a long time that we ended up packing the food to go. A credit for the inconvenience would have been a nice touch. Ironically, the neon graphic by the kitchen said "left on read" . I think that's what happened with her order. They forgot about it and made some line about the system was down.My chicken cordon bleu - presented to look like a sushi roll was actually tasty with a thin breading and nice smash of ham and cheese. Although the garlic mash was probably from a powdered mix it was tasty and I was able to share it until her food arrived. The bacon wrapped sweet plantains were yummy as well. They're not offered on the regular app menu just part of their $40 appetizer tray that came with mahi mahi. We would have ordered that if they took out the fish, but the waitress kept pushing seafood even though i repeated about allergies. She finally got it As a separate app but I wonder how much of an up charge they put into it.The other app we did get, the loaded tostones with beef were not bad though my friend noted that one of the pieces of beef was a little tough. The high point was our dessert, the flan that we shared. The flan had a nice creamy texture and the chocolate garnish gave it a yummy boost. The espresso we had was a nice closing touch too. They do have DJ music (the DJ is the guy with the creepy face logo on the screen) and some other patrons were dancing later in the evening."
"What a wonderful lunch we had! Alexandra our waitress was perfect! Attentive and quick. Alexandra Could not have been any nicer or competent ( spoken by a previous waitress!!!) it was a busy lunchtime but our food came out quickly and scalding hot! Had the mixed seafood soup and the yellow rice patella with a spiced green sauce! Perfection. Sorry no pictures as we at it up to fast. Get a window seat so you can watch the passerby for entertainment! Casual attire but a few business men as well."
"I'm obsessed with this place. I didn't realize this place had been opened for a year. We stopped by one night after seeing this place was opened until 11 PM on Fridays and Saturdays! Our typical favorite Peruvian place always closes so early! This place was delicious! The menu is extensive and includes classics like ceviche, lomo saltado and aji de gallina. There are also other dishes including sushi, Nikkei and many fun cocktails! The service is always on point. Folks are super attentive and nice. I like that they welcome you with plantains and a spicy sauce. There's also plenty of seating and they can accommodate large groups. They also have a parking lot and it's free! This place is a must try!"
"Cafe Vialetto is a staple in the Gables. The restaurant has been on the corner of Le Jeune and Bird Road for a long time. We like to go here for special occasions and it's always great. Definitely make reservations as they are always packed even if it's a weekday. Their pasta is amazing especially the pear ravioli. I also like the tuna tostones. They have different daily specials and offer great meat and fish. I don't think there's a kids menu but we always order the meatballs from the appetizer menu for our 4 year old because he loved them."
"I was craving pupusas the other day so I called in my order. Unfortunately, they were out of pupusas so I got a baleada con carne. It was decent. Their curtido was really good though. I can't wait to try it on a pupusa next time! Oh and my banana batido was awesome! The staff I side was friendly and they were all following mask and distancing rules for COVID."
"I loved the food here! It was within walking distance from my hotel, the Hyatt Regency Miami. When I called to ask about their hours, I found out 10:30 PM is what is posted and is also when the kitchen closes. I started with some $3.50 oysters and a $21 stone crab. I had my mind set on getting the Mayflower oysters from MA, but they were out. I wish the waiter had started out the night telling us what food they were out of or better, cross it off your menu if you won't serve it. Ngl the server also did not give much info on the oysters as I had hoped. It seemed like either he didn't want to bother explaining or he just didn't know how to describe them. I ended up getting the Blue Island from NY. The stone crab was so worth it. Def recommend trying it if you can. I also highly recommend getting Sea Scallops a la Plancha $32 and Fisherman's Stew $35 (spicy). Both were so satisfying and delicious."
"IMO one of the best fritangas I've had, the food here is consistently good. My usual go-to is the carne asada, gallo pinto, sweet plantains, and of course the fried cheese which is better than any other place I've been to hands down. One word of warning for anyone looking for a sit down meal, this place is really meant for take out, so keep that in mind when coming here."
"For a hole in the wall is fantastic!A restaurant from Honduras in the heart of a Dominican area...You will listen to Bachata for sure...We ventured into a new place to satisfy my "Platano relleno" cravings... Well, I leave this place very happy.I must say that these people have the best Pupusas I've had so far in Miami. We order one Cheese and one chicharron... Also we tried a "Baleada con Carne" a typical Honduran dish perfect for any meal of the day.If you feel like trying Honduran snacks, they have a wide selection of national treats.Venture and try a "Semita" a sweet bread that was made in heaven to be enjoyed with a good cup of Coffee from the mountains of Copan. Make sure you are not in a rush. They service is slow... But good!"
"Absolutely amazing ceviche spot in South Miami! Great happy hour menu/ prices! Our food came out very quickly & everything was so delicious! The yuca sticks were super crispy & the sauce they came with was the best compliment. The Lomo Saltado empanadas were super filled with meat & the flavors were excellent! The ceviche was super fresh & I loved the different flavor each one had! It paired perfectly with the crispy, salty tostones! The staff were all so friendly & the service was excellent, the chef even came out to ask how our food was! I will 100% be back for another happy hour with friends!"
"Entre Nos is a fabulous new restaurant in the heart of Miami Shores. We ate there Saturday night, and my Dining Companion, who was food editor of a major publication for two decades, pronounced the meal to be "very VERY good."The restaurant is at 9840 NE 2nd Ave, and if you haven't seen the sign, it's because it's the night-time occupant of Tinta y Cafe, which is open only for breakfast and lunch. The food was so good that we found ourselves dabbing fingers to get that last little bit of sauce from the salad plate.Their focus -- according to their website -- is "Florida-sourced ingredients, delivering a hyper-seasonal à la carte menu."The server lets you know where the food comes from, even explaining the origins of the salad. Excellent service, great food and -- well, a bit pricy. DC's perfectly done grouper cost $40, my tasty pork entre was $45. We also had delightful appetizers of grilled oysters ($28) and a salad ($18), plus an excellent bottle of Albarino ($65). There was also a steak on the menu for $70-something. I first thought that's maybe too pricy for Miami Shores, but then I got to thinking. The fabulous architecture firm Bruce & Bruce recently finished a beautiful renovation of a house on NE 102nd Street. It just sold for $3.3 million. With sales like that, the new folks moving into the neighborhood may find Entre Nos prices to be just fine."
"What a vibe! Checked out Flora Plant Kitchen this past weekend and absolutely loved it. Food was fresh, flavors were thought out and well combined and overall the meal was fab. The space has a very earthy boho chic feel to it. Beautiful decor and plants throughout... feels like you're on vacation. Service was excellent and there's free parking which for this area is a huge plus. Will definitely be returning!"
"The thing I am most disappointed about? Not having enough room in my stomach to finish my meal at El Carnival! For my meal, I ordered the Pao de Queijo (Brazilian Cheese Bread) and the Fettuccine Alfredo with Shrimp. Both were so savory and had me hooked! You already know, Brazilian cheese breads are out-of-this-world addicting. You mix cheese AND bread? You've just made 90% of the American population happy.I would suggest if you can, always sit outside (if you can endure the humidity). The views of Española Way and the french bistro dining sets at El Carnival outside make your dining experience that much more magical."
"Pretty bussin steak with rice that I got from here. Grilled excellently and the white rice still packed a lot of flavor."
"Imagine your mom being an amazing cook. You come home for lunch and you have a delicious plate of Sesame Seared Tuna on Soba Noodles a side salad and freshly made iced tea. Guess what? You can have a homemade meal prepared to perfection every day at Tania's Table. Tania entertains guests in her small, homey setting. Grab a table or sit at the bar and chat with the wonderfully welcoming staff. They have a different menu every day so you'll never get tired of the same food and you'll be forced to try one of their newer ensembles. If you're a dessert lover... have the Dulce de Leche Tower... it towers above all others. I swear.Check out their site. They also cater. They also make challah on Fridays. They also have Kosher meat, so they have it all... bon apetit!"
"Gorgeous hidden patio area makes outdoor dining a breeze. Loved the ambiance and the outdoor mural. The food was super rich- the chorizo croquettes were salty and heavy, I wish they came with more sauce to cut through and lighten the bite. But really interesting flavor. My partner had a chicken rice (arroz imperial) dish that was flavorful but I wish it was slightly more aesthetic than just a blob of cheese on top. The passion fruit mojito was the perfect drink super light and refreshing! Space was awesome, food was decent but overpriced for what it was which is standard meats, rice, cheese, chicken. Think we spent a little over $70 on a light dinner."
"What took me so long to try Jaguar?! Jaguar is a spot near Cocowalk that celebrates LATAM cuisine. The menu pays tribute to Peru, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, and more. I had some of the best ceviche ever, along with excellent guacamole that was so fresh, and generously portioned mahi tacos. If Chef Oscar is there, just get what he tells you to try!"
"Hidden seafood gem restaurant. We have been coming here the last year and have this place on our dining out rotation. The staff is always very friendly and attentive. We usually order a couple of appetizers and some wine.Seems like everyone likes their sangria here too.The restaurant is always clean and the decor is nautical so makes you feel like you are in a happy boat. Would highly recommend if you enjoy seafood, paella and or just some fried types of fish. Great restaurant on this block!"
"Guys, do not sleep on this restaurant just because it is tucked next to a hotel next to the Miami airport. The too long didn't read version here is that this restaurant is absolutely delicious and the customer service is amazing.I had a flight canceled and was put up by the airline in the hotel, which is one that I had not heard of before but I'm so glad that I ended up here. Feeling quite peckish, but not having the energy to go out and look for food, I decided to just eat dinner at the hotel restaurant and hope for the best, however, I am so glad that I did. I was immediately sat in a gorgeous dining room area that was incredibly clean and modern. The menu was expensive with both hot entrées that felt elevated along with other handheld items for those who may not be up for a full course meal. For my appetizer, I started with the pork belly chicharron which was grilled to perfection. For my entrée, I got the risotto with a side piece of salmon and a wedge salad, both of which were absolutely delicious. The risotto had barley in it and was extra creamy, but didn't feel heavy while the side piece of salmon was cooked perfection. The wedge salad was comprised of such a beautiful bowl of buttery, delicious leaves, generous pieces of prosciutto, and the most divine salad dressing I've ever had in my life talk with some spicy goodness that just rocked my world and candidly is probably going to be the most memorable wedge salad that I'm going to have in a long time. My partner had a Caesar salad with a burger that was reminiscent of a burger, get growing up with one of the fattest patties I've ever seen in my life that tasted like something you get at a backyard barbecue that fills you up and leaves you feeling so good. From start to finish the customer service was absolutely impeccable and so professional. I can't say enough wonderful things about this restaurant I look forward to coming back here and dining here again in the future on purpose, and would highly recommend anyone to have a nice meal here whether you are passing through or local. A perfect place to pass the evening, 14/10."
"Went with a friend to enjoy breakfast. They have an amazing breakfast deal that was big enough to share. The one we decided one was a baguette with ham and cheese, coffee and juice. They also have a discount on wines. Since we had OJ we decided to buy a small bottle of La Marca Prosecco and made mimosas. The service was good and the place was nice and cle"
