Stumble upon this place while taking a class by UM hospital. Man I wish I lived closer. I love a good Haitian restaurant & they accept cards ( joking) The food was so good & I am going back tomorrow & will come back whenever I'm in town.

Update:Not sure if they changed cooks, but I recently ordered stewed chicken takeout and the chicken drumsticks were so dry, stringy, and looked old. The stew/gravy was also a grey-ish brown color instead of the vibrant reddish-orange that I am so familiar with. Quality seems to have gone down.

I'm visiting Miami and my husband is Haitian so we were on the hunt for good Haitian food. I found Greg's Cookout and it did not disappoint! The food was so good and flavorful! The shrimp was seasoned well with a little kick but not spicy. The black rice was delicious! The macaroni was very creamy and cheesy. The legumes was so good, the beef in it was tender. We also tried the beef meatballs and that was the star of the show! They were packed with flavor. Overall, great authentic Haitian food 10/10, the food was made with love and it showed.

While visiting Miami my husband and I decided to try Haitian food for the first time. So we look up restaurant near us and found this place. Let me start off by saying a cute little restaurant in downtown by the medical center. I was a little disappointed because I wanted to try the ox tails but they were out. So I settled for the turkey stew and it was delicious. The meat was tender and that black rice OMG!!!!! I can eat that all day by itself. The macaroni was also good which was surprising because I had other Caribbean macaroni and it's not good. The fried chicken was good also. The cashier was nice and was very patient with me explaining what some of the dishes were I recommended this little gem.

If you have never tried haitian food, please change your life and come here. One of the things to do in Miami for me was eat the haitian food and it didn't disappoint. My friend and I ordered to go. She ordered the shrimp and salmon platter with black rice, and I ordered the stewed conch with black rice. I felt like I was eating food made by someone's haitian grandma. I'm haitian so I know how to tell apart great haitian food from bad haitian food. This stuff was great! Lol. The conch was so good. It was spicy, saucy, and flavorful. The black rice was on point, and the fried plantains were nice and crispy. The maccaroni was just chef's kiss. The salmon was a touch dry, but I think it's party dude to the fact we were late picking up the food, so it wasn't as fresh. The service wasn't bad at all. The guy in there was nice and accommodating. My friend was asking questions, and he was kindly answering and telling her about haitian culture. The interior definitely gives haitian vibes, but I do feel like it's more of a takeout spot than a sit-down place. For both the salmon and shrimp platter as well as the conch platter, we spent $65. It's pricey but soooooo worth it.

Iove that they are on Ubereats The food still arrived fresh and hot Prices were decent The griot was tasty and seasoned. I know Haitians usually don't care about what pieces they give so you might end up with a lot of fatty pieces but in this case it was a good mix. The fried plaintains were ok..I prefer them crispier but the ones my sister had were flatter and crispier than mine. The diri djon djon was ok. I've had better but it wasn't something that I wouldn't get again. The macaroni tasted authentic. I did enjoy it The spicy bites or the boulet was too dry for my liking so we didn't finish them. That was a disappointment. And the Passionfruit juice was not what I was expecting. I've had plenty of Passionfruit juice but this one missed the mark so I did not drink it

Absolutely delicious meal - the Griot Complete is super filling and is a portion, honestly, large enough to feed two. The stew, per my friend that ordered it, was just as good if not better. Very quick service, and great casual environment for a good lunch. Definitely coming back soon!

You would never expect food this good in a cafeteria tucked away in a hospital complex. It's worth every penny. Shrimp were very fresh

When they first opened the food was cooked fresh, service was slow but they just opened so that was expected. The food made up for the time it took...that was a year ago. Since then the food is hit or miss and the service hasn't gotten any better. Why wait an 45min to get a lukewarm plate of food?I see they've opened up a new location. Perhaps it's stretched them a little too thin. Whatever it is I hope they get back to what they used to be when they first opened.

Amazing and fresh Haitian food! My Haitian boyfriend said it was the best legume he had ever had. The stew Turkey was also great. Service: Delivery was fast and correct.
