"I stopped in with a friend for a more casual meal after days of dining at fancier restaurants. This is a small family-owned spot that serves entirely halal meat. It was pretty quiet for a Saturday night on Miami Beach; we were sat immediately. The menu has the standard variety of choices you'd find at most other Turkish restaurants. We each ordered our own entree as well as a Cigar Rolls (fried cheese rolls) appetizer to share. All of the food came out very quickly. The Cigar Rolls were cooked perfectly but could've had a little more flavor. My Lamb Shish Kebab Platter was delicious. The lamb pieces were flavorful and moist. The fries I requested in place of the rice were crispy and salted perfectly. I still got to try the rice by sampling from my friend's platter; I'd rank it highly compared to what I've tried elsewhere. The mixed salad was simple and accompanied the meal very well. The veggies were clearly very crisp and fresh. The server consistently checked on us throughout the meal. My friend and I really enjoyed our meal here. It says a lot about the food, as both of us dine at new Turkish restaurants regularly. I'd recommend this spot to anyone looking for an authentic and enjoyable meal on Miami Beach."
"On a recent work trip in Miami, a few of us and some clients decided to try out this place. We decided to do family style and share a little bit of everything. The restaurant was a bit small but still had a decent amount of seats and we were able to get a table relatively quickly. Our server was very nice and gave us different suggestions on what to get/what's good to share.Everything we had was delicious and was so flavorful. I've never been a huge Mediterranean fan but I loved everything there. I highly recommend it and could see myself coming back !"

"As a lover of spicy food, Kabobji in North Miami is definitely the place to go! Even without the extra hot sauce I requested, the lemon oregano chicken was fire! The generously portioned chicken, on a bed of basmati rice with almonds was well seasoned and perfect.I'll try a different dessert when I go again - with reservations and maybe not close to closing time. The baklava was a little more nutty and not as sweet as I have had at other Middle Eastern restaurants (one of them seems to serve theirs with a touch of honey). My side dishes included a hearty yellow lentil soup, warm fluffy pita bread as well as side of hummus with fresh garbanzo taste and a hint of tarragon. I noticed they have a decent cocktail menu with some pomegranate drinks I'd come back and try. Here's hoping to upgrading 5 stars soon!"
"I have had Izgara on my list for a while but to be honest the little plaza it is in gives me stress getting in and out. However I kept seeing such positive reviews on Facebook that I had to suck it up and give them a try. My husband and I shared a lentil soup. It was so good. The best thing about Mediterranean restaurants is that depending on what region they are from, the food is different and this lentil soup was delicious! I had the grilled salmon salad. It was HUGE! The salad was basically Israeli salad, feta and lettuce. I could have done within the potato sticks...in house they were a nice crunch, but I took home the leftovers and they did get a little soggy...while the rest of the salad was still amazing 2 days later. The salmon was perfectly cooked. I feel the onions need like 12 stars! I could have eaten a whole bowl of that alone. Everything was so tasty. My husband had the lamb platter with sweet potato fries. He said it was very good. The dish comes with hummus and he hates it so he asked for it on a separate dish. Lucky for me! I love hummus and it was delicious. We had baklava for dessert. It was a free dessert with Yelp check in. I wish I could have said I loved it but I didn't. It was the only part of the meal that was underwhelming. It was dry and just...not great. Trust me, this one thing won't stop me from returning. The meal was very good. Soda is served in a can. It's definitely a downer. It also won't keep me from returning. Service was friendly and helpful. The restaurant is clean & the tables are nicely spaced. Looking forward to going back and trying more of the menu."
"This was a last minute desicion. The place we were going to had tables, but also had signs on the tables saying take out only. So we walked out and decided to see what else was in the plaza. Low and behold, there was Sunrise pita. I'd been waiting to eat here for a while. Since it was a last minute desicion, I felt a little bit rushed on what to have. It was a good thing I was looking at the shawarma because when he said shawarma to me. He might have been reading my mind. I went with the small shawarma plate, and it was an excellent choice. It came with a pita bread, and I got it with most of the options, onion, tomatoes, cucumbers, red cabbage, some kind of tomato salad, and, of course, eggplant salad. I think I could have just had a plate of eggplant by itself. They also had one pound container of hot peppers and pickles mix buy one get one, I had to have one. The peppers were not too hot, and the pickles had just enough heat to make the flavor pop. They were so good! Now, my wife she had a tuna pita combo with French fries. I had a few fries, and they were good. She ate the entire thing. She must have liked it. For lunch, it might have been a bit pricey, but it was well worth it. With a really clean restaurant, good service and great food, how can you go wrong."
"We were planning to go for dinner but they close at 4 pm on Sundays so we went at 2 pm instead. Here's what we ordered:Unsweetened tea Raspberry tea - really good!Beirut beerMuhammaraGrape leavesHummus with meat Mahi mahi lunch platter with lentil rice and sweet potato saladChicken Shawarma saladFalafel platter with hummus and tabouliAnother hummus with meat with fries as my mealKenafeh for dessert - it takes time to prepare but is shareable and totally worth it!Turkish coffee Look for my pictures in the general photos because I can't add any more to my post."
"Located in a strip mall with free but busy parking. Not much flare when you get inside, quite a few tables. I don't think they take reservations. I'd say this is a casual spot. It seems very authentic. I felt the food hearty, yet my kafta was missing a bit of spice. I liked the spicy rice. The meal included a salad which was good and some pickles which I felt a little salty. I didn't love the pita. The bathroom could have used some love. Service was friendly, but a bit absent. Prices were decent given the portion. I can see why it seemed a lot of families came here."
"OH. MY. F********!!!!!!!!!!!!!!COME HERE ASAP IF YOURE IN THE FORT LAUDERDALE AREA!!!!!!!!First and CERTAINLY not last time having Uzbek food. Holy wow. Service was so professional and attentive. The restaurant is huge with super pretty outdoor seating next to a fountain!!!! Wow everything about presentation and experience here was 10/10. The tables outside are just beautifully painted. I wouldn't have changed a thing about the experience. Food: oh wow. The bread is $10, comes warm and is absolutely soft and has a slight crust to it -- AMAZING! The soup was recommended and honestly maybe was the best thing of this meal. Flavorful, meaty, herby, UGH YES. and the samsa????? Wow so juicy and flaky and just the most flavorful and perfectly made thing. The skewers were also absolutely insane. The rice and quail egg dish missed a little for me as it is sweet and not that salty, and it has some sort of raisins in it. But everything else was just amazing. The water is even fancy. Gosh we're coming here the next time we're in Florida. 100%. Do yourself a favor and make yourself a reservation here, and prepare to have your socks BLOWN OFF. WOW!!!!!!!!!"
"came here and was so happy! The food was fresh and delicious and the staff was very friendly. The chicken shawarma was really good.i had it on top of a Greek salad. Everyone does shawarma differently so i asked if i could try it and they gave me a small sample with no issue. It was delish and i ordered!happy to have come here.. i will be back!"

An unassuming little restaurant with great food! During my visit to Miami, I asked my boyfriend what he wanted for dinner tonight. We decided on Mediterranean. While searching Doordash, I came across Safron and placed a pickup order. I ordered hummus, stuffed grape leaves, fries, Greek salad, and x3 falafel sandwiches. After placing my order, I immediately called the restaurant to see if they could put spicy/hot sauce in the bag. We made it to the restaurant and parked in front in a non-parking spot. My boyfriend waited in the car while I ran in. I came up to the counter and was met with friendliness. Not only did they remember to put the spicy sauce (it's a chili paste) in the bag, the lovely lady at the register told me, unprompted as I retrieved my bag, that the spicy sauces were in there. The falafel sandwich was jam packed with flavor and was very filling, the hummus was a delicious classic, the stuffed grape leaves were super tasty both with and without the tzatziki sauce, the fries while a little mushy after transit still hit the spot, and the Greek Salad was refreshing and satisfying. We thoroughly enjoyed our food and look forward to trying more dishes from here! Thank you!!

Great experience with an incredible Miami spice deal! The ambiance was beautiful and inviting and the food and service were excellent! This was my first time visiting and it was great from start to finish. My only meh experience was the baklava; it's stuffed with mint ice cream so be prepared for that. It wasn't a pleasant surprise. The strawberry dessert was a better selection. The lamb riblets are a little on the fatty end, but that's why I workout and it was worth every bite. My main dish was the fish and it was lite and tasty. The octopus was yummy. The duck appetizer was really yummy and my favorite. Their Sauvignon Blanc was unique but delicious and the nightingale sour was a great start to the dining experience. Check it out and enjoy!

In town for a little R and R and visiting family we found Kabobji thru YELP.. The restaurant is in a well lit and popular shopping mall and offers casual dining with outdoor seating if available when you arriveWe arrived at 6pm and were seated promptly and began to dine at our leisure. We started with the veggie mezza which comes with grape leaves , hummus, baba ghannouj, falafel, tabbouleh and fresh hot pita. The 3 of us marveled in the grape leaves/baba ghannouj/tabbouleh being some of the best we"ve had . 5 STAROur daughter had the sautéed shrimp , 8 large shrimp with a creamy mushroom sauce and almond slivered white rice. Shrimp dish was served nice and hot , shrimp themselves were cooked perfectly 4 STARWe also ordered a side of Batata Harra (spicy potatoes) I liked these small cubed potatoes which were tossed with plenty of cayenne pepper but agree they definitely aren't your traditional Greek style potatoes which I think is what we expected - 4 STARLast two items were two small salads , a Greek salad with grilled chicken and a small Fattoush salad with chicken Sharma. The salads were just average overall, veg selection was not too unusual and limited lettuce. Also a disappointment the chicken was dry and overcookedOverall the restaurant is relaxed and what they did do well was done really well - that said we will visit again when in town

I don't know how many times we've driven past this restaurant or looked at it on Yelp. Today was the lucky day. We are finally going to have lunch there. What a great place. We love Middle Eastern food. It's always different from one place to the next. My wife and I shared a bowl of lentil soup. It was superb! We absolutely loved it. My wife decided to have a salad with grilled salmon. First, it was huge! She really enjoyed it. She could not finish it, so she took it home and we had it with dinner the next night. I have to say it was very good. Now, for me, I had the grilled lamb platter. It was grilled lamb, Israeli salad, sweet potato fries, pita bread, and hummus. Since I don't care for hummus, I got it on the side. My wife wanted it and she said it was fantastic. I loved what I had. The only thing I wish they had was a green vegetable instead of potato of rice. Even though I don't like it when a restaurant serves a can soda, it sure isn't going to stop us from eating here again.

I had the pleasure of meeting visiting cousins here for lunch today. If you're craving the most delicious Mid-Eastern food (falafel, Shawarma, kebabs), Sunrise Pita & Grill is the place to go. We were made to feel right at home when we arrived by the warm and welcoming staff. We placed our orders and sat to wait for the rest of our party to arrive. The gentleman at the counter came over and offered to lower the tv volume for us. Then he gave my husband complimentary samples of the soup of the day for us to enjoy as we waited. The soup was cream of corn, and it was super delicious. The place is so clean and inviting to sit and enjoy your food. We absolutely loved everything we ordered. All is prepared fresh in front of you, and the portions are plentiful. Can't wait to go back for more!

This place was so good! My husband and I decided to come here for an early dinner after having driven past it a couple times. We ordered the fried halloumi cheese, the chicken shawarma and the beef shawarma. Everything was phenomenal, and large portions! The cheese came with this delicious sweet and spicy dipping sauce that I loved. My chicken shawarma had so much flavor from all the spices. My husband loved his beef shawarma, but especially the fries it came with. We ended up taking some home because we couldn't finish everything. For dessert we ordered the baklava sampler that came with 4 kinds of baklava, and 2 Turkish coffees. I can't pick a favorite baklava because they all were delicious and not overly sweet. The Turkish coffee might have been my favorite part of the whole meal honestly. I loved the presentation and the coffee was just beyond. Service was excellent. Fast and friendly. You can feel that this is a family owned restaurant that has personality. It was very welcoming. I loved the decoration and the little lamps on all the tables. Straight out of the movie Aladdin lol. We already plan on returning again very soon. The prices are great and the food was fantastic. Lots of easy parking too which is a huge plus.

"I love shopping here just for a few of my favorite things! They make fresh pita every day 5 for $2 you can't beat that! The brand of hummus they have is by far my favorite hummus that I have ever had besides homemade hummus. The olive bar is nice fresh the beats are beautiful and vibrant. They have this amazing nut honey which is a beautiful display of nuts inside of the honey. There is also a meat counter in the back with all the fresh Halal meats you can't go wrong with that. Also I love the Sadaf cardamom tea generally I order it on Amazon I saw it at the store last time I was there but it did not have a price on it... Next time I will ask. Check out is always easy and fast the gentleman at the counter is always nice and efficient. I had more photos, I lost them so I'll go back & take more soon!"
"Definitely one of the best restaurants on the Mile, if not all of the Gables! We love their happy hour for its great offering of both drinks and snacks. The chicken shawarma, the sweet labneh that's served with the zucchini latkes, falafel, and everything else is amazing. Every bartender and server we've had has been top notch! And the decor is very inviting."
"Excellent Turkish food. Super authentic. I came for a birthday dinner so got to sample a bunch of dishes. Honestly, everything was very good and extremely fresh. I'm still dreaming of the shepherd salad. Also, get the kunefe for dessert. Service is very friendly and prices are great. I hope to be back during my next Miami trip!"
"I am glad I had the opportunity to dine here. Persian cuisine is slightly similar to Mediterranean cuisine. Love the Persian tea. I had it hot and cold. Although everything looked good on the menu, which is located under the glass top tables, I ordered the Salmon side kabob and the Koobideh kabob platter with Lentil & Raisin Rice. My meal was very tasty. Although the restaurant is small it is a great place to have lunch and dinner. The plate sizes are huge. There is a separate menu for lunch. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive."
"My first time. This store has a big arrangement of products and olives. This is an interesting place to visit. I walked around and noticed the desserts counter. Everything looked good. I bought a few of them. I don't know the name to what I ordered but it was good. It tasted freshly made. The store towards the bag has a little restaurant with tables and chairs. the menu is limited but the locals speak highly of the food here. I ordered the lamb kabobs. It was good. I enjoyed it. I also bought a pita. That was also good and tasted fresh. The worker behind the counter was very friendly and helpful. This store was a great fund for me . The store has it's own parking lot. It is right behind the store. This store is easy to spot it's located on a corner and has a good size sign"
"I came late Sunday as I was in the area and decided to have a little snack before heading back home.I found this place as I've been to their Pembroke location and I was craving some hummus and baba ganoush. We ordered takeout. The place is smaller than the Pembroke one but it looks nice and tidy!We ordered some hummus and baba ganoush. They come with warm, fresh pita bread. Both were delicious just like the ones in Pembroke!! Creamy, fresh, and well-seasoned!!Love it!"
"Located in Aventura Mall in North Miami, this Mediterranean counter service restaurant is part of the food court. I had the Salmon Shawarma bowl with veggie quinoa with the sauces $19. It was fresh, flavorful and delicious."
"We met friends from Minnesota who were visiting Florida here for dinner. He is a vegetarian and she's a pescatarian and they are both kosher. This was their choice of restaurants. The restaurant is kosher. My husband and I shared a felafel platter. First off they bring a dish of pickled veggies to the table and a basket of fluffy pita -- even before you order. I really like the beet marinated turnips. Some of the "pickles" were a bit spicy for me but my husband liked them all. The felafel were wonderful. Perfectly cooked and still moist inside. You got to choose six salads from the "bar". We selected hummus, Israeli salad, babaganoush, beets, and a chunky eggplant. My favorites were the hummus and the eggplant. We were given extra pita as well. In addition, we got a side of beans and rice. The white beans were soft and flavorful as was the rice. My husband brought half home and had with his eggs the next day for breakfast (!). Our friends had a veggie platter and a salmon pita wrap. The veggie platter was their choices from the salad bar. The salmon was hot and freshly cooked and served as a sandwich with condiments added. They didn't have the knafeh (listed on the online menu) that my husband likes, but they did have bobka (cake) that looked great -- although we were too full to try it. Kosher food -- especially the meat dishes -- are exceedingly expensive now. Not being kosher, I had no clue, so some of the menu prices are a bit of a shock. However, if you stick to the appetizers and smaller dishes, and share, (portions are large) you will be okay price wise.I have a friend who lives near by and likes middle eastern food. I told her about this place and we are already planning to come here."
"It turns out I've driven past this cozy Israeli / Mediterranean deli plenty of times while on the Julia Tuttle Causeway. I finally stopped in last night seeing it was the only healthy place open late after visiting my mom in the nearby hospital. Even though they were near closing time, I must say the service was top notch. I never felt rushed, and for that alone they get five stars.Functionally it's a walk up order, and they have seating both inside and on the sidewalk. The creamy hummus I ordered, garnished with tomatoes and onions, tasted fresh, as was the warm and fluffy pita bread served with it. You can tell the bread was made fresh when ordered! The bowl of lentil I ordered was nicely warm and hearty and went along great with the grilled chicken breast. They also have a few prepackaged baked goods, as well as kosher grape juice."
"Wow what an amazing restaurant. It's like grandma's cooking and Avi & Yakov are the most passionate and warm hosts. The treat you with like family, samples that make you try items you never though to try.Everything made to order. Generous portions & reasonably priced.Absolutely at the top of all Mediterranean restaurants compared to all.AMAZING from 1-10 and 11+"
"In the mood for kebabs and found Ha-temania on Uber Eats. Ordered the platter and Yemenite beef soup. The food was delivered relatively quickly and the soup was piping hot. Although it had a great flavor, I only wish the carrot and potato was cut into smaller pieces. Also, the menu online states that the soup comes with scallion, radish, and pickles... which I did not receive. For the platter, the kebabs were delicious and cooked to perfection. I was a little disappointed to find out that the Israeli salad was not included with the meal considering that it was depicted online & on Uber Eats. Also, tahineh sauce would have paired perfectly with the kebabs and is even showed drizzled over the meat online. However, I did not receive any sauce with my meal. All in all, I would definitely order from them again... I'll remember to request the tahineh next time!"
"The falafel wrap was really good. I would definitely try their falafel burger next time. The staff was very friendly and the food taste very good and fresh. I am glad I gave them a try."
"We came here for lunch, my companions from class suggested this place. They had the chicken pita sandwich and I had the hummus salad for 16.00.The hummus didn't have much flavor and the salad was not to my liking. My companions liked their food but I guess I am a picky when it comes to a salad.Do give them a try and see if you like their food. The service was good and fast. One orders the food and you pick it up and bring it to your table. The restaurant is clean and parking is ample."
