"I was looking for some Cuban food in the area, and this place happened to be within walking distance of my hotel. I came by for dinner on a Monday at around 7, and it wasn't too crowded. To start, I had the grilled Argentinian provolone cheese. I knew I wouldn't be able to finish this myself but I wanted to try it anyway. It was perfectly melty, and was nice with the tomato it was topped with, and the toasted garlic butter Cuban bread they give you at the start of the meal. Eat it quick though because once it starts cooling off, the cheese gets hard and it's difficult to eat. For my main, I had the fried pork chunks. It comes with your choice of two sides so I went with the rice and beans, and some broccoli. The pork was served on top of avocado sauce, which I wish they had put on the side. The oil from the pork mixed in with the sauce, making it kind of separated. Some pork chunks were good (the fattier ones), but they were mostly dry. I didn't care for the rice and beans. They do give pretty big portions here though. Maybe I just didn't order the right thing. Looking back, it seems more like an Argentinian restaurant, and they probably just threw a few Cuban items on the menu.If you're looking for Cuban food, this ain't it."

"UPDATED REVIEW 9/12/21After not coming to this hidden gem for quite some time now, the family owned business still gives amazing service and quality food without a doubt! Still one of my favorite Mexican restaurant here in Miami. My partner and I ordered the Enchiladas de Pollo en Salsa Verde, there famous Horchata Mexican drink, a tamarindo Jarrito, and chips & salsa (complimentary) with guacamole (extra). Prices are reasonable for the amount of food you receive. In the middle of Kendall and there take out is the same amount of food and quality as indoor dining."
"When I list an item in my "Late Night Gourmet" list, it means a place that typically does not have white table cloth service and space isn't a premium. However, it's not a knock on the food. It's a lifesaver after a drink (or 3) or conversely a quick lunch during the day when you're starving and don't feel like being boogie. On all of those counts, El Taquito II fits the bill! I stopped by for a bite with friends after a nearby Yelp event and we snagged two tables in the cozy inside as well as some bar seating. The soundtrack was tropical I believe (the drinks were pretty good from the earlier event :) , the seats were backless stools and our waitress pretty decent. But the conversation and jokes with our crew was the best.My sustenance was their "Ahogado" chicken burrito; a sizable and deliciously cheesy & sloppy tortilla with cilantro, plenty of cheese, salsa verde and a decent amount of chicken pieces. I believe chips and salsa would have been extra, though the salsa verde tasted good. All In a all El Taquito is a solid spot for a quick bite in Little Havana."
"This place is super cute, and conveniently located near the beach. I got the Baja Fish taco and the shrimp taco because she said that they were the top tacos that people like and honestly the shrimp was probably my favorite! I tried a little bit of the grilled chicken burrito and it was good, but truthfully way too heavy on the stomach. Sasha was our server and she was amazing! Our food came out pretty quickly! I think this spot is perfect if want to grab something good and quick but still have that sit down experience."
"Went here for the first time. We got there pretty late; after 9pm. It says it closes at 9 on google maps. It closes at 10pm! We called and it's on the menu. They have $2 tacos on Wednesday and Friday nights. The menu is extensive! We ordered chips and guacamole for an appetizer. The guacamole was a little bland, but it came with some salsa and it was really tasty!I ordered a chicken taco, zucchini taco, and napole taco (cactus). They come plain on a corn tortilla (pictured). You go to the bar and put your toppings on. You can add lettuce, pico de gallo, pickled onions (they were out when we went), cilantro, onion, radishes (also out), and 6 different kinds of salsas. My son got 5 different kinds of tacos and a bottle of Coca-Cola. His friend got 3 different kinds of tacos and a bottle of Coca-Cola.We ate every bite! It was super yummy. The prices can't be beat!Altogether our bill was less than $40!It's a great hole in the wall. I'll definitely be back soon."
"This is an amazing hidden gem in little Havana! They serve Central American food and I loved everything I tried. The staff is super friendly and the prices are AMAZING. You have to try the pupusas and the steak for sure. There's a small parking lot for the strip mall right in front too. I'd definitely come back!"
"We were driving to another restaurant for dinner on a Tuesday night when we spotted this place on 8th St. and decided to come here instead. We're fans of authentic Mexican and were excited to try La Diosa. We started off with an order of chips and guacamole, then ordered the sopes (which comes with 3, but they're small), and since it was taco Tuesday, we each had 4 tacos. All the foods we tried here were very good and flavorful, the staff were outgoing and attentive and we liked this place. They're also open later than many other restaurants most nights.Do know that, while they list things like margaritas, mojitos and craft cocktails on their menu supposedly made with vodka, rum and mezcal, La Diosa only has a license to serve beer and wine, so their cocktails are made with spirits that have a much lower alcohol content vs. what you'd be served in bars and restaurants that have a proper liquor license. Also, we came here during taco Tuesday so tacos were only $4 each, but regular menu prices are a bit more expensive than they should be. As mentioned, the cocktails here aren't very potent and contain little detectable alcohol, yet they still charge $14 on average for them which is higher than one pays for drinks with standard alcohol content in some cocktail bars. An order of sopes is $18 for 3 that are tiny compared to what one gets at many other authentic Mexican restaurants in Miami."
"What an incredible establishment. Old school decor makes you feel like you are in an authentic Mexican restaurant. The food really makes you feel like you are in Mexico. Wow so fresh and delicious. Exploding with flavors. The people that work there are so friendly. Today Eribe greater me as soon as I walked in and Laria & Natalie took my orders. Everyone was so happy and hospitable. I love this place. Keep up the solid work Jacalitos."
"Beautiful Tulum type decor at Mexican restaurant Koko. Server Gus was friendly, efficient and explained the menu well. Given we had a larger group with also two young kids, he was able to handle us effortlessly. The food really shines here. Good quality, beautifully flavored with some spicy notes. I got the shrimp tacos which you can also get with lettuce instead of their famous blue corn tortilla. The blue corn tortillas are really good and freshly handmade. For those with a little adventure, they also have an insect menu of ants, grasshoppers, worms etc. I tried the ant egg sauce which was spicy, with some peanut and sweetness with little crunch of perhaps was the ant eggs. I felt adventurous! Worth the price. They have both a nice indoor and outdoor area. With valet close by and street parking if you're lucky."
"Me and my friends went here during the grand opening. The service here is amazing, the host and the wait staff was very welcoming. I also enjoyed the vibes and the music that was playing. It is definetly a good spot to just enjoy after a long day of work.As for the food, everything tasted fresh and the drinks are amazing. We got the margaritas and they were strong and yummy. The servings are also huge. It is a bit pricey but I believe this would be a good place to start your Wynwood adventures."

I recently visited this restaurant for lunch, I ate the lechon asado with yellow rice and plantains. The dish was served hot, every bite had a lot of flavor, the rice was a little salty but the sweet plantains complemented my food nicely. The bread was hot and delicious. I also ordered a glass of sangria. The sangria was strong and sweet. It had a lot of fresh fruits. Overall nice experience. The server was very nice and took good care of me. The restaurant venue is very accommodating and spacious.

I'm reviewing La Cazuelas, but please note this place is a Mexican/Italian restaurant and both options are delicious! The service here is always friendly, but if you don't speak Spanish, there might be a little language barrier. Food wise, everything here is great. From the quesadillas, to the steak burritos, to the menudo (so good!) this place definitely delivers. I know menudo isn't for everyone, but they make it so good here. I highly recommend it.

If nothing else is open, then ok - I guess, but I wouldn't purposely return.THE PLACE: Located in Little Havana, plenty of street parking is available. El taquito is very well decorated, is clean, organized and has a great "mom & pop" feel to it.THE FOOD: The food options are typical, on my visit, I have 3 al pastor tacos. 1/5 edible yes, but were very dry, no sauce, barely any pineapple and the meat was straight-up burned. I have to take out many charred pieces. Not to mention I paid 12 dollars for 3 mediocre street tacos with no sides. THE SERVICE: Staff seemed overwhelmed but were ice and worked quickly.

Incredible Tacos! Totally worth the hype. We're on Miami hanging out in South Beach after a Virgin cruise. Staying at Dream South Beach Hotel and I saw good things about Naked Taco on Yelp. Definitely check them out when you are on the area! I want to try all the tacos! Also get the Goat Cheese Balls! Yum!!

We stopped in for a double date with our close friends. We were seated right away and we're handed a very large menu! For drinks, we tried out their margaritas, one classic and one passion fruit. Both were delicious; you couldn't taste the tequila but it was there! For dinner, I ordered chicken enchiladas in a green sauce (my friend ordered the shrimp enchiladas!). The boys ordered a burrito and a variety of tacos. Absolutely yummy! The wait time was a little long between drinks and dinner, but it was well worth the wait. Amazing hole-in-the-wall Mexican restaurant!

What an amazing experience! We decided to try this place out accidentally walking down the street! We were actually looking to dine at another establishment not far from this location, but a quick Yelp look made us change our mind. The vibes, staff, and food was the absolute best. We ordered the steak fajitas, tacos, quesadillas, chips and corn appetizer (super good), churros, and tres leches. We also tried their lemonade...which was super refreshing! They will provide a card that you can tap your phone on for viewing their full menu. After going through the entire menu multiple times, we settled on enough food to get us full. There was more than enough food...so much so...we were able to eat two more times from our leftovers. There were no issues ordering food and the wait time to receive our eats was not long at all. The decor was nice and our seat was directly under the super pink rose wall that read "La Diosa". It was the perfect seat to watch the bartender create fancy drinks for other customers. Note: During our visit (roughly 8:30PM), there was only one bartender, one staffer for taking orders, and one staffer to assist in delivering food to tables. Although lean in staff, we did not experience longer than expected wait times! If you are in the area and looking for good food and great vibes, give La Diosa Taqueria a chance!

"I'm from socal and have been trying to find authentic Mexican food in Miami. This is by far the closest I've found. Carne asada and carnitas tacos are yum! Carnitas are tender and fatty. They load the tacos up with so much meat. The prices are super reasonable for the amount ur getting. They serve a rlly good Jamaica 5/5 for sure. I doordashed the food and the only thing I would change is the way the salsas are packaged. They come in bags instead of containers. Also wish they had a spicier salsa. Besides that it was yummy! My go to taco spot now."
"This is definitely as good as it gets tacos. This place is a hole in the wall with three old hispanic grandmas cooking these delicious tacos. At $2 a taco I was like okay, I'll have three. Nope, two were my max because I wasn't counting on the amount of stuff they put on them and the double corn tortillas so they don't fall apart on you. This is close to work and is now in my lunch rotation. I can't wait to go back!"
"I'm so happy that Serena brought back their happy hour. They have a decent selection of cocktails and bites. My favorites were the Sola Pero Acompañada and the plantain croquetas. Enjoying all this on a beautiful rooftop makes Serena the perfect spot to decompress after a hard day's work."
"This looked like it used to be a diner from the looks of it. They had a counter and a bunch of booths with colorful murals surrounding the inside. The menu sported Latin food with Mexican flair and creativity. The service was appreciated, and the food arrived in a timely manner. For starters, the Korean tostones ($15.99), timba ($9.99) and media noche egg rolls ($15.99) were ordered. There were three tostones topped with avocado, Korean BBQ pulled pork, crema Mexicana, pickled onions, and sesame seeds. This was outstanding. The tostones were crispy, but not overly done and the pork was tender. It was a well put together dish. The timba were cubes of fried queso Blanco and served with guava marmalade. I was most interested in trying this and it did not disappoint. There were 10 cubes, and each was fried to perfection. The guava marmalade paired nicely with the fried queso Blanco. Regarding the media noche egg rolls, there were three present with 8-hour roasted pork, sweet ham, pickles, a three-cheese blend, and homemade mustard aioli. Once they were picked up, it was well known how packed and loaded these egg rolls were. There was a great balance of all the toppings. Once again, the pork was succulent and tender while the mustard aioli enhanced the overall dish. For an entrée, the chimi burrito with chicken ($17.99) was ordered. It was a jumbo flour tortilla with yellow "Chuchi" rice, three-cheese blend, plantains and flash-fried with a cilantro-lime and crema Mexicana. There was also a side of fresh Pico de Gallo. Again, this was absolutely filled with all the fixtures. It somehow stayed all together even when eaten. I think the fried aspect had something to do with it. Regarding the taste, very solid. The chicken was seasoned and flavored very nicely, while the plantains provided a sweet factor to the burrito, but not too over powerful. Overall, it was filing and a good purchase. Will I go back? Easily."
"so thankful this cute lil shop was across the street from where we stayed -- quick and easy bites when you're hungry!the al pastor tacos were mid, the huevos rancheros were pretty good (reminds me of this dish my mum always makes), the iced coffees are okay lol, but the burritos !! are !! so !! yommy !! especially the morning burrito it has everything i love: eggs, tomatoes, guacamole, etc. will try the churros next time hehemexican food in miami isn't the best since cuban, peruvian, colombian, haitian, puerto rican, etc. foods are so much better!"
"I LOVE Oaxaca! We usually get it via delivery and the food is always amazing quality and delicious.I have tried many Mexican places around town, but Oaxaca beats out the competition. I usually order the steak quesadilla with a side of guacamole and chips. The quesadilla comes with a delicious cumin dipping sauce that I'm hooked on! The food is top quality and so yummy!"
"Yesterday, we stopped by to get takeout at their drive-thru. It was a little past lunchtime, so there wasn't a long line waiting. The cashier took our customized orders. I ordered a Tostado with Carne Asada. It was freshly made while we waited. The steak was tender and medium. It came out perfect. My daughter ordered a Taco salad with Carne Asada, lettuce, guac, and tomatoes. She liked hers also. T vs B make everything fresh and tasty."
"Chef Omar really did an amazing job with this one! La Santa taqueria is a true work of art. From start to end, the experience is always so great. With a variety of mexican dishes, their tacos stand out the most! Their octopus taco is one of my favorites! Cooked to perfection, and seasoned so well it's a great. Their guacamole is a must, it comes with some sides of different hot sauces which go good as toppings on almost everything they serve! The queso fundido is so yummy too - topped with mushrooms its a true delight! The restaurant itself, is a true beauty. With a bold pink wall in the front and mexican inspired art all throughout the inside, they have hand painted art and artisanal pieces hanging to bring you back to the Mexican roots of the restaurant. Pro tip: Check their weekly happenings as many times they offer live music (my favorite nights) by local talented bands."
"Sooooo happy this place FINALLY re-opened! After what seemed like forever, iconic Taquerias el Mexicano is open again serving fantastic Mexican food & equally perfect margaritas! Stopped in tonite with my father for dinner & could not have been more pleased! Our waiter Jose, from Veracruz ;), was wonderful & told us how he had worked for almost 20 years here before the abrupt closure. Manager Gigi was also lovely & came over to welcome us back after the long hiatus. We started with MARGARITAS (spicy for me) & they were amazing! Next we did the QUESO FUNDIDO CON FRIJOL which came to the table bubbling hot in its cast iron bowl, piping hot & perfectly browning all the cheesy edges as we (not so patiently) waited for it to cool down enough to taste... delicious! For mains, my dad chose the TAMPIQUEÑA-STYLE MEAT (Grilled beef steak served with a cheese enchilada, rice, beans, and house guacamole) & loved it! I chose the STUFFED CHILE(Mild peppers, stuffed with cheese, served with red sauce, rice and beans) & it was incredible! Portions are huge & flavours ate on point. It's so wonderful to have this spot back! So much history & such great food! Not to mention a lil bird told me that Los Altos, the upstairs speakeasy, is also set to open up soon along with their renovated back patio! Come out & support this neighborhood gem & knock back a couple of killer tequila cocktails while you're here. You won't be disappointed! Crazy, crooked Miami politicians can't keep a good thing down for long. VIVA TAQUERIAS EL MEXICANO FOR-EVA!!!!"
"Legit Mexican tacos! This isn't Tex-Mex crap, if you want authentic food then this is the spot. The waitresses are always very friendly, there aren't a whole lot of tables but there's enough and they're always clean. They also have one table outside if you want to bring your furry friend. Parking is a bit tight, they share the lot with the other tenants. I've tried almost everything on the menu, and everything was delicious for me. Catch me here once a week!"
"I only came here because when I went to the Miami River Mexican cuisine store they were closed due to some kitchen issues. The guy came out and sent me over here instead. My daughter and I ordered the chips and guacamole. The guacamole was actually more tasty than at the other store. The one other time I'd gone there the guacamole was bland. The order is pretty big. It's a lot of guac. We took home leftovers of the guac.I also ordered the Elote. It was very good, except one side was warm and the other side was cold. But the combination of flavors- the lime juice, cheese, cream, and Anjito was delish! For our meals I got the 3 fish tacos on corn tortillas and my daughter got the 3 shrimp tacos on flour tortillas. We both finished all of our tacos. Mine were delicious! I'm not sure what the sauce on the side is. It tasted like a mix of ketchup and mayo?!? But they also put two salsas on the table. The green one is SPICY! The red one is mild.Altogether our meals were about $45. Not bad.Parking is an issue. I didn't see a parking lot. There are spots right in front of the store. But only a couple. Since we were going there at 3 in the afternoon it was easy for us to get a spot.We were the only people eating in the restaurant. There were a few people who came in to pick up orders.I would come back again if I'm in the area, but this place is pretty far away from where I live."
"First of all...their menu is literally a passport of destinations around the world with alternative realities like sushi, burgers, gyros, pizza, and nachos all under one roof. Yeah, I know...prefer magical, huh? I decided to come check out the spot for myself and was just so impressed with not only their versatility but also the range of skill they demonstrate in all their meals. Since they operate as a cloud kitchen, all of these options immediately become available from the comfort of your own phone at late night hours making it even more necessary. The interior is small but perfectly arranged with a green leafy facade overlaying the wall leading into the kitchen emphasizing a plentitude of ambience in a slim layout amongst a corner shopping strip located on 135th and Biscayne. The most impressive approach to their operation is the range of foods offered within a short window that's prepared by order offering such a wide range of availability during late night hours in a central location. Not many spots in Miami can uphold of their qualities. It's comforting, convenient, affordable, and most importantly deliciously fresh and intriguing. Go check them out!FYI I ordered something from each menu and pretended I was traveling so yeah..."
"This is a nice neighborhood Mexican restaurant with good service, good food and plenty of outdoor seating. Their staff is usually very friendly and happy hour there is pretty popular. The tacos and other house specialties are consistently flavorful. It's a nice place to grab lunch and dinner with a relaxing vibe."
"Really delicious lunch! Doesn't look like much from the outside, right next to a convenience store, but wow it delivered! Super fast service, big portions and ice cold beer :)We stopped here for lunch before we went to SuperBlue (just a few blocks away) and was a perfect start to a couple hours in the museum. Really great spot, highly recommend."
"Casa Ya'ax is a brand new Mexican-Tulum inspired restaurant in Wynwood! They have a beautiful indoor as well as outdoor space. Inside is more intimate like for a date or special occasion. The outside space is very lively, featuring a spacious bar, open space for dancing, performers and a DJ. They offer a wide variety of craft cocktails, I personally fell in love with their spicy-mezcalita. It was refreshing with a nice kick. They feature a wide variety of upscale Mexican dishes, my favorite were the Rib-eye & the octopus. Make sure you save room for dessert, I tried an amazing chocolate mouse, it was so rich & flavorful, I just can't stop thinking about it! The bartenders were really helpful in making cocktail suggestions, and Chef Omar the owner was around welcoming & checking in on everyone.. I'd like to visit again soon, for dinner & dancing! Side note- they do have a dress code, so make sure you dress to impress! I really do appreciate a place having a dress code.."
"This is a cool no-frills local taco joint located right across from Riverside park. I've walked by many times as I go to and fro the park, but I finally stopped in to try this out, and I sure am glad I did. Outside on the awning is a big sign: "Comida Mexicana" that tells you everything you need to know as to what this place is all about. The food here is perfect, and the tacos are delicious. The meats are all cooked to perfection. The pulled pork was delicious and perfectly marinated. The chorizo was savory and very spicy. The steak was excellent as well and was perfectly grilled. The wait times do tend to be a bit long, but the service is great and the food is served exceptionally fresh with the tacos still steaming. The prices are like going back into a time machine, back to a time before covid and an era of free government money printing. Who the hell still serves $2 tacos you ask? Well the answer to that question: Lolita's restaurant. I don't know who this Lolitas is, but I would hazard to guess that she is a damn fine woman. Take a break on your wallet the next time your walking down Calle Ocho and come to this little known hidden gem serving up the finest tacos to Little Havanians."
"I came here on a Friday around 6pm because I was in the area. I wasn't looking to drink, but I was hungry. I had a hard time trying to decide what to get because there were plenty of options. I ordered the chicken flautas ($15) and they were decent. Very crunchy, but the portion was a little small. Also, it was pretty hard to eat. The server was nice and attentive. I sat outside and buses kept driving by so keep that in mind. It didn't seem like a lot of seating was inside. Overall, it is a little expensive for the amount of food but I may return."
"What took me so long to try Jaguar?! Jaguar is a spot near Cocowalk that celebrates LATAM cuisine. The menu pays tribute to Peru, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, and more. I had some of the best ceviche ever, along with excellent guacamole that was so fresh, and generously portioned mahi tacos. If Chef Oscar is there, just get what he tells you to try!"
