With just a few adjustments, this review can pivot from 3 to 5 stars. There are so many cool things about Mestizo Brew Cantina. Let's talk the good stuff first: cozy place where you feel at home. I love the bright colors, all the plants, indoor and outdoor seating areas and when we were there, the live music. The staff were friendly and on point with service and taking care of folks. The drinks were really good as well. I loved my Paloma, not too limey or sweet. His Coin marg was also tasty. And we spied some really good looking house made sangria. What needed some edits? The food. We had the beef birria, so full disclosure didn't sample a lot from the menu. The birria was bland and needed some seasoning, def more salt. It was meh for us. We were sad, lol. The chips and salsa were solid, but for us both the birria bumped the rating down. The bright side? This is an easy fix. Fingers crossed management is reading this.

Cute new place that serves up amazing customer service and unique, delicious bites! We had the chips and salsa with a variety of their tasty tacos, all came out amazing! My only regret is not taking more pictures of the food before inhaling it all. The service went above and beyond to take care of us on their patio seating. Would definitely return.

New place, had to try.The folks here are pleasant and make you feel at home. We popped in for some food and brews and it was a good date night. We wanted to try many things so we ordered Pupusa - El Salvadoran corn tortilla stuffed with cheese, grilled and then topped with slaw and salsa; Llapingachos - Ecuadorian potato and cheese cakes with red onion escabeche, tomatoes and salsa (I loved these!!); Grande chips and salsa - house made chips with three kinds of salsa, all tasty. The beers are well made and tasty. This will be a repeat place for us.

Great newer (as of January, I believe) spot in Wheat Ridge with a nice little dog friendly patio and friendly staff! My husband and I shared the birria tacos (comes with 2), side of rice, side of beans, chips with trio of salsas, and each our own tacos (I got carnitas). We really enjoyed all our food and so did our 9 month old who is obsessed with carnitas and also enjoyed trying their rice and beans. I also tried their house margarita and my husband tried one of their beers. We really enjoyed these as well. We will definitely be back to try some tortas and pupusas!

The hubs and I have come here twice now with the same friends. They turned us on to Mestizo because they come weekly and now we are bitching our wagons to theres. It's a small but mighty spot to grab a drink and some tasty food. We've started with the chips and salsa both times. The chips are thicker and perfectly salty with three different salsas to choose from. Between the four of us, we have no issue polishing them all off. I really like the veggie tacos minus the onion and cheese (both are not great for my stomach). They are the perfect taco with a little recited beans, a little rice, avo, zucchini and pepper. Just really satisfying. The hubs and our friends get an assortment of tacos and papusas and all of us leave happy and full. Service is always fast and friendly too and we will continue to come back!

Here on vacation and this place was near by my AirBnB. Great place to hang out with friends and the atmosphere is chill with great low key Mexican music. You order your food at the counter and the food is delivered to your table. Service is great and the nice lady who took our order answered all our questions about the food. The carnitas was the fav at our table but all was yummy. The Salsa de Aguacate (mild avocado salsa) is delicious. Guava Rose and Red Sangria are both really good and both are only served on weekends. Must try when your in town, you won't be disappointed.

Staff was super friendly. Especially the lady who took our order/served/bartended us. She was kind, informative, and very helpful to with the team. For food, Llapingnachos was not for me, I needed more salsa and wouldn't mind some meat (it's a vegetarian option). Tacos had a lot going on but I'm a simple taco person so this could be great for someone else. Meat was nicely cooked. Tortilla had a nice crisp. Birria was pretty good, the jus was more on the oily side and lacked flavor, I wouldn't mind eating these with salsa instead.

Shiny brew kettles greet you from the windows, along with the locals who have claimed this place as their own. Tasty food created like you'd expect in South America accompanied by some of the best drinks in the area. The appetizers are amazing and filling... The pastor is cooked on a spit--nothing lazy about this chef. Greyson was very knowledgeable about the history of this brewery and he made us fall in love with the place. See you soon MBC!
