I came here today with my two friends to sample the Miami spice 2024 lunch menu. It did not disappoint. I ordered the following - Fried Calamari. This was so, so fresh. The calamari were soft and not chewy at all. The batter was so light and crispy. A great appetizer. My friends had the tuna tacos. I sampled a bit, and they were also very good. The tuna was extremely fresh. For my main I ordered the Linguini with Shrimp. This came with a finger licking garlic, butter, white wine, and parsley sauce. A solid dish.My friends ordered the Branzino and salmon. They stated they were very pleased with their choices. For dessert we all had their flan. This was also pleasant, although I wish there was more caramel sauce served with it. We also had a cappuccino each to round off our lunch. Not only did they look pretty, but they were wonderful too.The decor is pleasant. Look at my photographs to see their unusual bottle themed chandelier. The service was also top notch. A five stars from me.

Went for Miami Spice and their menu was really great! Lots of options and delicious seafood. Upon entering, the place had a very cozy, romantic feel. We ordered the rock shrimp & the scallops for appetizers, both very flavorful and delicious. For the entrees, the seafood paella was amazing and extremely filling. My hubby had the Chilean sea bass which he said was tender and juicy. I wasn't too crazy about the desserts, however they were not terrible but I think they could have better choices. Now the service wasn't bad but it wasn't outstanding either. It was okay. Our drinks took way longer than it should have to get to our table so as a first impression, it wasn't great. But the Miami Spice menu was worth the visit in my opinion!

I recently tried the three-course Taste of Gables menu at Mesamar and had a pretty good experience. The meal started with a delicious lobster bisque, followed by shrimp with linguine, and ended with a delightful chocolate mousse. I also had a few bites of the seafood fried rice. While both entrees could have used a bit more seasoning, they were served piping hot and still tasted good. Overall, I'd give the meal 3.5-4 stars. The ambiance and service were commendable, making it a pleasant dining experience.

We went for a Miami Spice dinner and were pleasantly surprised. Everything was delicious! We had rock shrimp and the scallops for appetizers; paella and ny strip for the main course; almond praline and chocolate mousse for dessert. Loved all of it!! Service was friendly & attentive. The restaurant was lovely inside as well. Could not have asked for a better anniversary experience.

Really liked this restaurant! We sat outside and had a large plate to share as well as three appetizers. The tuna tacos were yummy but very small. The dessert was very unique and delicious. The seafood plate had some highs and lows. The lobster tail and the calamari was delicious. The fish felt very under seasoned. The ambiance was great and the service was very fast and excellent. Michael was our server and he was great!

Came here on a Saturday night with a girlfriend and we didn't have a reservation but we didn't have to wait long thankfully. The place itself is really beautiful, decorated nice and upscale but inviting as well. The service was awesome we had a really attentive waiter. We ordered the Crispy Rice, the Rock Shrimp, the Grilled Octopus, the Paella MesaMar and the Tostones side. Overall, everything was great! Top picks were the crispy rice and the paella. The tostones were average and the grilled octopus lacked a unique flavor. I would have liked more seasoning on it. The rock shrimp was good, definitely filling! Would I come back? Yes! That crispy rice alone was worth it. The paella was also packed with seafood so it's nice you don't get skimmed with that when paying a good amount for it. The drinks were also delicious!

As we have been here many times before we arrived a little bit early to our reservations so we could belly up to the little cozy bar as you pass the hostess stand for a pre-dinner cocktail. Mayelin the bartender was great she provided us insight into the libations from their bar menu. I started the evening by having an old-fashioned, and my better half went with one of their Kettle One vodka base Star of the Sea concoctions with jalapeños included. The other two couples join us for dinner soon arrived, and we were seated and greeted by Marcos our waiter. The other two couples were cocktails, and as we chitchatted and discussed the menu options. They decided to go with the Miami Spice prefix menu, which gives an array of options. We have fallen in love with ordering the fried whole Hogfish Snapper, accompanied by fried rice and (green plantains) tostones, should you visit this restaurant we highly encourage you to order what we did.

Great sea food restaurant! We went there for a birthday party so we had like a private section, needless to say the ambience was upscale and beautiful. We had some spicy tuna crispy rice, octopus, fried rice, and a sushi roll that was amazing (i just dont remember the name). Overall great fusion style. The service was very attentive and always were taking care of you anticipating your needs.

I was in town on a Sunday night with 3 girlfriends before departing for a cruise. The meal we had at MesaMar was one of the best meals I've ever had in my life! Everything we tried was delicious. They had a special menu, appetizer, main course, and dessert for $60. I ordered the rock shrimp. It was so good in a tasty sauce. The other appetizer options were langoustine, lobster tacos, and salmon sashimi. We also ordered ceviche. Literally every bite of everything I tried was delicious. I had the filet mignon for my main course and it was cooked perfectly and so tasty. My friends wanted to try too. For dessert I had the chocolate mousse with oreo crumbles. It was very good, but the almond praline was even better!Marcos was our server and he was great, very attentive and didn't mind us getting a little rambunctious with mamajuana shots. The restaurant is small and cozy. The bathrooms were clean & nice.

OMG! What a treat in the Gables. I loved this place. From the moment I stepped in for dinner, everything was on point. The restaurant is super cozy and warm, the aesthetics are classic but not overwhelmingly intimidated. I came here solo for dinner and felt super comfortable. The staff was so attentive and friendly. I ordered a couple of appetizers and the branzino. It was so delicious and full of flavor. I saw a lot of other guests order the whole fried fish, it looked soo good, I'm thinking of getting that the next time. This whole experience was amazing and I can't wait to go back.
