That brought a smile to my face. :-) All day every day is happy hour! Many rolls to choose from. Although the facility is small, that can accommodate groups. There's lots of parking available. Seemed fresh and tasted good. Didn't have anything we really didn't like.Our service was fantastic which was great considering the reviews saying service was terrible. Our waitress was in training since it was actually her first night, but she was so friendly! Maybe they're focusing more on hiring good servers! Clean inside and has a hip/underground Tokyo vibe to it! Only downside is there is a little bit of a smell in the bathroom, which I saw noted in another review. It wasn't terrible so maybe they're trying to figure it out.Will be returning again and probably again and again!"

"I've been dying to try Blue Sushi Sake Grill for months after seeing their IG posts announcing their arrival in Tempe! So when my friends and I had an upcoming event nearby, we thought this was the perfect time to check them out since they just opened on the 27th. The restaurant is stunning and located in downtown Tempe at the new Novue Place, right next to ASU! Our server, Damaris, was so sweet and very attentive. She offered excellent recommendations on food and cocktails. Between the three of us, we ordered several appetizers, including the Charred Spicy Edamame and the Mango Crab Rangoon. I tried the Crispy Rice Cake topped with spicy tuna and the Crunchy Blue roll, both of which were delicious! My friend had the Cloud Nine 2.0 and the Hotel Cali, and she said they tasted amazing! Our other friend, who isn't a big sushi fan, ordered the 'Just Shrimp Tempura Maki' and liked it a lot. I will definitely return, as the food and service were outstanding. If you're in the area, be sure to check them out! They are offering HH all day ever day until February 26th! Plus, they have a second AZ location opening up in Surprise next month! Yay for us west siders!"

I was craving a crunchy California roll (cause I'm basic) and it actually is really hard to find! I found a crunchy Cali roll on Saketini's menu and bf ordered a Hungry roll (Avo, cream cheese, tuna). We split beef yakisoba. Our to go order was ready within 10-15 minutes!The crunchy Cali roll was okay. It wasn't as "crunchy" as I'd have preferred. The hungry roll was decent as well. They didn't seem particularly fresh. The beef yakisoba was the best item of the three, and had decent wok hay flavor. Overall Saketini was okay. Daruma is located in the same parking lot and is significantly better!"

"My friend and I have been here 3 times now for lunch at the sushi bar and absolutely love this place. Sushi chef Alan has taken excellent care of us since the day we met. My friend and I are pretty pure sushi eaters, getting pretty much the same things every time, but I will say the menu makes me want to deviate, so I've been trying new menu items. I personally am a Ramen and noodle soup lover, so I will have to try their soups on the menu in the future.But in the mean time, the Yellowtail, Tuna, Salmon, Sweet Shrimp, Masago, Uni and Eel Nigiri have all been excellent. The grilled Hamachi Kama also excellent. This 3rd. time here I had the Salmon Uni Ikura Don Bowl... loved it. Everything has been very fresh and tasting wonderful. Great neighborhood addition to an area that is changing and growing fast.Atmosphere: big, full bar area, big sushi bar and big dining tables area. Food: excellent. Service: excellent."

"We were shopping nearby and decided to order food to-go from Maguro one chilly evening. I called ahead and placed an order for sushi, a veggie ramen, and a tonkotsu ramen. Arrived within 15 minutes.The place was busy, it looked packed. The staff was friendly and helpful. My order was waiting for me when I arrived. I was in and out in minutes. Though the food smelled really good, we exercised some patience and waited until we got home to open it.I was impressed by their ramen packaging. It came in a big bowl with two compartments: one for the broth and one for the veggies and protein. The broth was still warm even after a 20-minute drive. We immediately devoured its contents. My veggie ramen was tasty and satisfying. The portion was pretty generous, too. The sushi was fresh and flavorful. We were both very pleased with our choices!"

"Went Friday night for some sushi. We haven't been to Masa in a year we were in the neighborhood and decided to go. We did change it up we usually got sushi rolls, but this time we tried a combo meal. It was perfect! My wife can't eat a lot of rice and that makes her question whenever I want sushi. She's afraid it will be too much rice. These two items have rice but at a much better ratio. So it was a perfect dinner. The service is very good with the exception of the periodic dish being placed into the bus cart. Good is always great and we were glad to see that it's staying great! A wonderful family spot or individual."

"We were in the area and wanted some quick sushi. We love Sushi on Tatum (Sushi Station) by Desert Ridge and decided to try it out. We were seated and provided waters. The server assumed we would just grab from the belt (which we were) but I wanted a side of eel sauce and we never saw her to flag her down until the check. The rolls were okay but there wasn't many on rotation. It looked like there were more drinks,candies and desserts. The edamame was hot and good and the rolls we had were okay but wish there were more options. I think we will stick to Sushi on Tatum but would probably stop in again if we were in the area."

After a short wait- we were walked over to the teppanyaki table. There were three of us, and two separate couples who had already been seated. Our first thought was: "Are they really going to try to fill ALL these seats??"There were about 9 chairs lined up around the table with zero room in between. All the chairs were crammed up against one another- ZERO arm room or space.Thankfully, they decided not to seat anyone else at our table (or no one else was available to seat) and we 86'd the remaining two chairs. Whew.Our server, Seth, was awesome...and fast AF. One minute he's standing next to you taking your drink order- then you blink- AND BAM, he's back with your water. Seth is either an Olympian...or the butler from Mr. Deeds.Anyways, needless to say, Seth definitely was on top of his game.We had the pleasure of getting Chef Jose for our table. I have to emphasize PLEASURE; because he was honestly the best teppanyaki chef I've ever had. No joke.Great energy, super clever, hilarious, and he did the BEST show for all of us! "Some of the best sushi I have had in a while. I can taste that the fish is fresh and the pieces are so big! I have never seen such gigantic pieces. The tuna didn't taste fishy at all. Sometimes at other places the tuna tastes a little strange to me. The salmon was delicious and I loved the chunks of meat they put on top. I thought the presentation was also quite spectacular. I would definitely go back. The parking is easy and there is a huge lot. I like that the parking lot is quite quiet. There aren't lots of cars speeding around and there are lots of open spaces. The only downside is that it is a little pricey as the meat is so fresh and big. If they didn't have such quality I would say that there are less expensive options including sushi ayce that's made to order as well. Otherwise the freshness and large pieces can't be beat."

This is pretty much a staple place for all ASU students to go but now Sushi 101 has relocated from being right next to the ASU campus to a mile or so away. Did the relocation hinder their business? I'll let you decide.Get the ASU Roll, The Monsoon Roll, and even a Philly Roll if you love salmon with cream cheese. Get whatever you want but just get yourself down here. If you're a Sun Devil, you have to pay homage to this spot. Will it be the best sushi of your life? No. But you have to come here. Period."

They had the hobbit movie playing on the television, so that was fun to watch while we ate. We were greeted in Spanish when we walked in, but since I don't speak it, the waitress was happy to speak English for us.All in all, great little find. I think it's a sign to write something already, and what better way to commemorate a milestone review than with sushi?I remember visiting their first location by the Cardinals Arena, and I wasn't impressed. I've had takeout from the Avondale location, and it was okay. But this Tempe location? I gotta say, I'm impressed. The JoJo Roll and Corden Bleu Roll were the winners (especially the sauce that comes with the Jojo Roll). The El Tataki Roll wasn't bad either. I also had some of my friend's yakimeshi fried rice and gueritos appetizers. Both were also very good.It's gorgeous inside. You wouldn't be able to tell that this place used to be a Sweet Tomatoes. Keep in mind that you're not getting an authentic Japanese experience. El Tataki is very much in the business of Mexican-Japanese fusion, and it's great! Itadakmasu!"

"Although Gosan is priced higher than other poke spots, the fish and marinades have greater quality. The menu consists of sashimi, rolls, and poke bowls. There are preselected combinations but I always enjoyed making my own. The staff have always been kind and the scoops are generous. =POKE=There were standard bases of white rice, brown rice and salad. Besides the plain versions, the fish came with either a mayo, sweet or spicy marinade. The hot spicy albacore and tuna had a red chili forward profile that brought in the heat. Hawaiian tuna was a mixture of salty and sweet. The creamy wasabi tuna was mayo forward and surprisingly sweet, not my favorite as the wasabi fails to stand out. The scallops are my personal favorite as these plump mollusks soak up the sweet creamy sauce well. I was happy to see a decent selection of vegetables and fruits. Seaweed salad and imitation crab weren't priced extra. Avocado cost more to add on. Although there are sauces available, I wouldn't recommend adding on more given the high liquid content and flavorful marinades already. The sauces primarily had a soy or sriracha base. Very fast service and a perfect spot for lunch or dinner. Seafood has always been fresh and I love the ingenuity of the marinades."

While doing the standard; search Yelp for a place to eat, happy hour & something I've not tried...Well this was a big WIN The service is amazing, it's owned by a wonderful younger couple Peng & Tina. Peng runs the kitchen & Tina runs the floor, Tina is very sweet & personable. I am so glad we found this place, huge KUDOS to the Yelpers for visiting/ reviewing, Peng & Tina for having such a passion for service, great food & service. Started with; Miso soup & Cream cheese Rangoon. The miso soups could have been hotter buy the flavor was very good. The Rangoons are light, fluffy & tasty. The sushi rolls came with great presentation & really great flavor. We modified the "Golden spicy Tuna" to add jalapeno & cream cheese to the inside. We got turned onto this roll YEARS ago in Califonia (old favorite place). Now any sushi place we visit, we ask to have it modified, not too difficult, right? Well nope, nobody has been able to recreate this roll properly... UNTIL TODAY! It was perfectly prepared, held together & excellent amount of each ingredients, really flavorful! "My wife and I were in the mood for sushi. We wanted to try something new. I suggested Kawaii Asian Cuisine in Peoria for lunch. Family owned and operated the the staff was friendly and welcoming. I liked the decor they have a nice menu which is reasonable priced. We both had the sushi lunch, which includes a choice of soup or salad. The sushi was fresh and flavorful they were also working on their fall menu, and the chef gave us a sample to try. I wasn't able to use my Groupon falling victim to the fine print, which was not valid for Happy Hour or lunch specials, which I usually hate, but the sushi was delicious and worth another trip to use the Groupon correctly. Please support them and all our local businesses."

A good host would say, not sure but it's a big hit here... or something. I guess I was just expecting much. Honestly, it's just okay to me. It's a hole in the wall type of location. Definitely nothing fancy. Just a place to pick up food from. I most likely will not be back just because I feel I can spend $60 at a better location with a bit more ambiance but it was worth the try... definitely not what our fellow yelpers reviewed though. 5 star? The Drunken noodles are good too - sauteed wide rice noodle, bell pepper, onion, thai basil leaves in chili and garlic sauce. We love their Pineapple shrimp curry - jumbo shrimp, red curry past, bell pepper, pineapple and onion in coconut milk...pork gyoza is a good starter or their Tom ka soup. Lot's pf parking all around.
